can we get some hcs for soft boy richie??

YESS HES SUCH A FUCKING SOFT BOY

(thank you @eddiesbadbreak and @stanleyuriis for some of the HCs ily)

- God, Richie is such a hopeless romantic underneath all the bullshit he spews.

- Richie is starved for attention and affection at home, which often makes him question whether he deserves that at all. So he craves attention so much, especially from Eddie.

- When they’re not bickering or joking around, Richie is so sweet with Eddie. But he definitely has to be in that mood. When Eddie is affectionate with him, calls him pet names or says that he loves Richie, Richie pretty much crumbles.

- Tbh the first time Eddie says “I love you”, Richie almost tears up because like… no one says that to him. It means more than anything because someone actually loves him and he loves them back and it’s all so amazing.

- He’s pretty sensitive, especially when it comes to his insecurities and his family situation. He totally does not show it often though, and the only people that know the true extent of how he’s feeling inside are Eddie and Bev.

- Richie is SUCH a cuddler, and often likes to be the one cuddled. He loves being the little spoon or being the one to rest his head on Eddie’s chest instead of the other way around. He loves laying with his head on Eddie’s lap when they’re with the other Losers.

- If Eddie runs his fingers through his hair, he melts instantly. He loves that shit.

- In general, he loves being taken care of by Eddie. He’s never had anyone take care of him before, so if Eddie ever acts that way it makes Richie so happy. It makes Eddie happy too because he’s always the one being babied, so he loves being on the other side especially because he just… cares so much and has so much love to give to Richie?

- Like one time Eddie packs Richie lunch for school and Richie’s like !!! This is what true bliss is. He’s smiling all day from this small gesture.

- It’s so canon that Richie keeps a spare inhaler for Eddie.

- Any time anyone laughs at his jokes it makes him SO happy. He feels awesome if people actually think he’s funny.

- Also if anyone compliments him, he’ll brush it off or make a joke out of it but everyone can always see how happy and mushy that makes him as well. He feels so valid when he feels like the people he loves love him back.

- Secretly when no one’s there, Richie and Eddie are SO fucking cheesy with each other omg. They call each other pet names. Besides the typical “Eds” or “Eddie Spaghetti” that Richie calls Eddie, he also very often calls him “babe” (which Eddie loves), or he’ll get real creative and call him absurd things like “Snicker Doodle” or “Cuddle Muffin” (which Eddie hates)

- Eddie will often call Richie “Rich”, “Red” or “Sweetie” and Richie dies every time he always gets butterflies in his stomach

- They go on cheesy dates a lot of the time: Stargazing, Rollerblading, even sharing a milkshake with two straws. A lot of the time though, the two like spending the whole day being lazy and staying in bed and eating junk food.

- Richie is super gentle with Eddie, but Eddie is also super gentle with Richie? Especially if Richie is upset, Eddie is so patient with him and will stay up comforting him all night if that’s what he wants. They’re just really careful with each other.

- Bev sometimes paints his nails and Richie really likes the way they look. He usually only lets her do one hand, though.

- Richie also loves when Bev puts hair clips in his hair to push his bangs back. She did it for the first time when making Richie do a face mask with her, but after Richie said he thought it looked really cute she continued.

- He even started doing it to keep his bangs out of his eyes when he was doing work at home. Eddie thinks it’s the cutest thing ever. Richie also loves headbands.

- Richie has THE LONGEST LASHES and SO MANY FRECKLES HE’S JUST SO PRETTY

- In general, Richie is actually so caring with his friends? I mean of course, he’ll roast and make fun of them to the moon and back but in reality they’re the most important people in his life and he would die for any one of them any day.

- No one would expect it, but he always remembers birthdays and anniversaries. He writes such long cards for all the Losers whenever it’s their birthday, talking about why he thinks each of them individually is awesome and making long lists of all the inside jokes they have together.

- He also is the best gift giver. His gifts are so thoughtful even if they’re small. He remembers what people told him they wanted months ago, or he gives them gifts that have to do with inside jokes. Things that only he could gift.

- Richie always stands up for any of the Losers without even a second thought. After Henry and his gang are gone, it’s rare for them to get bullied, especially in High School. If they ever do, it’s all verbal. They don’t really get beat up anymore. But if anyone is being a dick to any of his friends, he ALWAYS stands up to them and isn’t afraid to cuss them out, even if it means him getting detention.

- He also comforts them after they get picked on. Even underclassmen he doesn’t know. If he sees a freshman getting picked on, he’ll tell the bully to fuck off and smile so wide at the kid, telling them they’re okay!

- Tbh everyone in High School LOVES him. They think he can be kinda annoying sometimes, but he’s a genuinely good guy and he’s super funny.

- Richie is that cheesy boyfriend that picks flowers to give to Eddie. They also put flowers in each other’s long hair and Richie takes a million pictures.

- Richie saves and pressed into a book the flowers that Eddie got him after the opening night of the school musical he was starring in. His heart skipped a beat when Eddie brought him flowers and told him how amazing he was.

- As adults, Richie is so caring about Eddie especially after dealing with losing his arm. He’s so accommodating and supporting and just loves Eddie so much. After he knows Eddie is okay, all he wants is to have a happy life with him.

- As an adult, Eddie also calls Richie “Reggie” because of one time where another radio host introduced him as “Reggie Tozier.” Like you don’t even know how funny this was to Eddie. It made him tear up from laughter for like a full week after it happened, so to tease him sometimes Eddie will call him that. Richie acts like it pisses him off but he thinks it’s pretty funny himself.

- Richie’s the type of husband that comes home with flowers and is like “BAAAABE I GOT YOU FLOWERS AREN’T I THE BEST HUSBAND EVER”

- Holy shit Richie is SUCH a softie when it comes to him marrying Eddie and later when they adopt/surrogate children. Richie cries for half the wedding and then after they get their kids he tears up like EVERY damn day about it.

- He’s just so happy to actually have a family? For once in his life? Like HE built this. It’s HIS family. He gets to come home every day to such happiness it’s like unreal to him it makes him get choked up.

- BEFORE THEIR FIRST KID ARRIVES RICHIE CANNOT STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW CUTE BABY SHOES ARE.

- HE BUYS SO MANY PAIRS OF BABY SHOES THEY’RE SO SMALL THERES NO WAY THEIR CHILD’S FOOT WILL BE THAT SMALL CAN ANYTHING EVEN BE THAT SMALL??

- BUT THEN IT IS THAT SMALL AND ITS AMAZING HE LOVES IT.

- Even as adults Richie and Eddie always go on such nice dates. They never get sick of being together, especially since they feel like they have to make up for so much lost time. When they’re back together as adults it feels like falling in love all over again except this time they can actually be together and it makes Richie thank God for real.

- It’s so fucking important for Richie to be a good dad since he knows what it’s like to have horrible parents. He just wants to do what’s right.

- Overall Richie is such a sweetheart under all those dick jokes. He’s so fucking soft and good. That’s all.

Fic - Take a Star

So I had this cute idea for a fic, and I know I said I’d update a Strange Picnic when I was able to write again, but this idea just wouldn’t leave me alone! But yeah, I hope you enjoy it!

Title: Take a Star

Warnings: a little bit of self-doubt and insecurity

Pairings: Polyamsanders - written as platonic, but could be read as romantic

-

It began with a jar.

It once held coffee beans, but it had since been cleaned until it gleamed, the label carefully peeled off and the residual glue rubbed away, until the glass sparkled like new.

A sunny yellow sticker was stuck on the front, and across it were scribbled the words which started it all:

“Take a Star to Brighten Your Day!!!”

And it was full of small, purple paper stars.

in the mc’s brain it’ll be like,
“wait omg it’s getting real, prepare the lube and condom u ass”
and then irl it’ll be like,
“as you can see in the graphs, the rate of using air condom– i mean, conditioners in the campus have decreased.”

imagine the torture the mc has to go through and then how will his soulmate make up for it.

They refused to answer questions for Chief Inspector Grey.  They refused to talk to Jamie. They refused to allow anyone to touch their son.

In the end, Claire asked to see the death certificate only to discover that no doctor had been called to declare the young man dead.  That tiny loophole gave her the leverage she needed to have the Coroner request an autopsy.

Which was how she found herself in the morgue, just her and the young boy on the table.  It was late.

She did her best work in the silence.

She cleared her mind, and closed her eyes.  Nothing.

She took his hand, held it gently for a moment.

Prayers.

So many prayers surrounded this child.  There was some comfort in that, perhaps.

She took a deep breath, adjusted her microphone, and began.

“Epilepsy.”

“Are ye sayin’ it was a natural death?”  Jamie was confused.  He looked at the notes he’d made in his book as he devoured his fourth piece of pizza.

Claire had come home from the morgue tired and hungry.  So hungry she’d stopped and grabbed a pizza from the corner restaurant.  Turning up her walk she found a tall, red headed Scotsman sitting on her front steps.

She was embarrassed at how happy it made her.

“Yes.  You’ll get the official report soon, but all signs point to it.  Increased lung and liver weights.  Cerebral edema, lighter brain weight, structural brain lesions. Also, contusions, acute neocortical and brainstem hypoxic neuronal changes…all indicate -”

“English, Sorcha.  Please,” he said around a mouthful of food.

“He suffered from seizures.  Lots of them.”  She took a sip of her wine.  “There was something else.”

Jamie lifted his head sharply.  “What?”

“Olive oil.”

Jamie pointed at his pizza.  Looked at Claire.  “Olive oil.  Like, what ye cook with, olive oil.”

“Yes.”  She wiped her hands on a napkin as she explained.  “I’m certain that’s what it was.  It was on his forehead, and his hands.  I took a sample and sent it off to the lab.”

Jamie picked up his pen.  Scribbled another note.

“There were a lot of prayers around him,” Claire said, softly.

Jamie stood and went to his jacket.  He rooted around in the pockets until he came out with another notebook.

A caramel coloured notebook.

“What’s that?”  It seemed familiar, but she didn’t know why.

Jamie held it up.  “Oh, this?  This one’s yers.”

“What do you mean, mine?”

“I bought it when we were workin’ on the Geillis Duncan case.  These are off-the-record notes.  The ones I canna share, but have to support with actual evidence.  The notes based on yer visions, not yer findings.”

Jamie’s ears turned pink.  “I bought it because the colour of it reminded me of yer eyes,” he admitted, shyly.

Claire blushed.  He did that?  That was weeks ago.  Well before…  Some days she still had trouble believing that he accepted her visions so readily.

“Anyway,” Jamie cleared his throat, “What about the bruising?”

Claire was grateful for the redirection.  “Straps.  Restraints.  He was tied down. Wrists.  Ankles. Across his chest.  They must have been violent seizures to warrant such bruising.  He would have bled a little too as the skin was rubbed raw in places.”  Claire took her plate to the sink.  “I’ve sent a blood sample to be tested, as well.  We’ll find out what sort of medications he was on.”

It was getting late.

And she was getting nervous.

She watched as Jamie scribbled in his book.  His penmanship really was awful. He finished writing, closed the book and snapped his pen.  When he looked up, Claire looked down.

It felt awkward.  Tense.  Charged.

She wanted him to stay the night.  Again.  But she didn’t know how to say it.

“Humpf….”  Jamie made that Scottish noise he always did when he had something on his mind.  He took his time stuffing his notebook back in his jacket pocket.

He wanted to stay the night.  Again.  But didn’t know how to say it.

“You can…” she said.

“I was hopin’…” he said at the same time.  The silence grew.  “You first, Claire.”

She crossed her arms. Uncrossed them.  Swiped at some crumbs on the counter.  Looked up at Jamie.

“Stay?”

Jamie dropped his head.  Smiled.  Glanced up into those whisky coloured eyes.

“I thought ye’d never ask.”

“Sorcha?”

From his office he watched as James made a call.  He could hardly hear the conversation, just ‘Sorcha’.  He didn’t recognize the name.  But ten minutes later when she walked into the offices, he knew right away what was going on.

Because he knew her name.  It was Claire.  Dr. Claire Randall.  The M.E.

So this ‘Sorcha’ must be some kind of pet name.  And pet names meant familiarity.  And familiarity, at least in the case of James Fraser, meant more than friendship.  He should know.  One did not simply make friends with James Fraser easily.  He was a guarded man, a cautious man.

A man who once admitted to having an attraction to this woman.

He watched as she waited for James to notice her.  She waved the envelope and in that split second when their eyes met he saw all he needed to see.

James’ eyes softened.  His posture straightened.  It was subtle.  But it was there.  James jumped up and grabbed his jacket, badge and notebook.  He didn’t bother to look back.

Damn you, James Fraser, thought D.C.I. John Grey.  Damn you, anyway.

Jamie was sitting across the table from the boy’s father.  A tape recorder ran between them.  But it recorded nothing because the man wouldn’t talk.

They’d had him brought in when the findings from the lab came back.  There were too many discrepancies.  And Jamie wanted answers.

“Listen.  All I want to know about are the bruises.  How did he get the bruises ‘round his wrists and ankles?”  Jamie looked at the solicitor for help.

She shrugged.

“Because from where I’m sittin’, ken, it looks like ye tied yer son down and left him to die.”  Jamie watched the man close his eyes.  He pressed his advantage. “Like an animal.”

The dad’s jaw clenched.

Jamie was done.  “I’ll have to charge him with Neglect.”

“But you have no evidence!” the lawyer insisted.

“Aye.  I do!” Jamie snapped.  “I have a wee boy with bruises on his chest, ankles and wrists.  Skin rubbed raw.  I have an expert witness who will stand up in court and swear the boy didna die at home.”

Jamie stood up so quickly his chair wobbled behind him, threatening to fall over.  He leaned across the table, his face close to the father. “Where did yer son die?  Eh?  Where did ye have him tied up?”

“Enough,” the solicitor stepped in.

“Aye.  Enough.”  Jamie straightened, grabbed his file, and opened the door of the interview room.  He motioned for a uniformed officer.  “Process him.”

Three days later, Jamie was working at his desk when D.C. Angus Mohr threw a newspaper onto his desk.  He jammed his finger at a name in the Obituaries.

“What’s this?”  Jamie asked.

“Caught me eye,” the little man said.  “Same school as the boy we collected from the Funeral Home.  Second death in as many weeks.”

Jamie looked up as the other detective tapped his temple.  “Got me thinkin’, you know?  Raised the hair on the back of me neck.”

Jamie picked up the paper and scanned it quickly.  Same school.

Ste. Anne de Beaupré.  Headmaster, Father François Anselm Mericoeur d'Armagnac.

“Can I keep this?” he asked.  D.C. Mohr nodded, slapped Jamie on the back, and walked away.

“Cheers,” Jamie mumbled, already lost in thought.  He dug out the caramel notebook to be sure.  He found the entry he needed.

Prayers, she’d said.  Surrounded by prayers.

They sat in a tiny coffee shop beside the Thames.  The barges were at work. Horns honking.  Seagulls crying.

The pages of the lab report were strewn around them.  He needed to go over them again.  With Claire.  He needed to talk about the latest death in connection with the school.  With Claire.

Somewhere along the way the officer who never wanted a partner suddenly needed one.

And he needed Claire.

“So,” Jamie said, papers rattling in his hands, “the substance on the boy was olive oil, and sweet calamus.”

“Um-hmm,” Claire mused distractedly.  “Used in Anointing of the Sick.”

Her fingers flew over the keyboard of her laptop.

“The school is small.  Very small.  I imagine it’s because of how rigorous it is.” Her hair was tied back in a messy bun.  Pinned up hastily.  One lone tendril corkscrewed down her neck.

“Rigorous how?”  The answer lay in this school.  He knew it.  Felt it.

“Well, most Catholic schools give you a simple, very basic education of the Faith.  Daily prayers, Masses for special events.  This one says students participate in Daily Mass.  Confessions every Friday.  There are 3 priests on staff, besides the Head Master.  The rest of the teachers are lay people. No cell phone policy.  No personal electronic devices allowed.  And the uniform is something out of the dark ages, really.”

Claire looked over at him.  “It’s not structured like most Catholic schools, but it’s not unheard of.  A bit old-school, I guess.”  She twisted the computer so he could see it.

Jamie pulled it towards him to look more carefully.

Claire stretched, her back tight.

“The only thing that bothers me,” she said, “is the fact that he didn’t have any meds in his system.”

Jamie gathered up the papers and put them back in the folder.

“I mean, there’s literally dozens of them.  And in seventy percent of cases, they work wonders at controlling epilepsy!”  As a doctor, this detail bothered her.

As an intuitive, this detail screamed at her.

He closed the lid on the laptop.  “We’ll never find answers sitting here.”  He drained his cup.  “Come.”

“Where are we going?”  Claire stood up, slipped her computer into her bag and reached for her jacket.

Jamie called back over his shoulder.

“To enroll our fictional child.”

Harry had been stressed out completely from his full day on campus.

This was his third term in college and it was truly kicking his ass. The only thing that made his life experience in college better was his best friend Y/N.

They had met his first term while she was in her second. He was sitting by himself in the campus cafe after his first class of the day and she approached him, asking if he was alone and would like some company.

He still remembered that day like it was yesterday.

Harry’s plump lips touch Y/N’s gently as he thrusts two fingers roughly in and out of her. Y/N’s body moves involuntarily with each thrust, and a quiet moan comes from her lips.

“Yeh like that?” Harry asks. Y/N nods, her eyes tightly shut in pleasure. Y/N clenches around Harry’s fingers, and he can tell that she is close.

So imagine if Neil had a sibling he didn’t know existed. Just hear me out okay.

((this post seriously got away from me but I am definitely 100% not sorry))

He’s kidnapped and dragged to his dads house and they’re standing there ready to hack him piece from piece and Nathan calls for his guard upstairs and down comes this 10 year old with Lola’s hair and Nathan’s eyes and a set of bruises on her face and Neil just FREEZES.

(It could be a brother but I’m sticking with sister- you’ll see why)

And Neil doesn’t know WHY Nathan is bringing this kid - that looks like him- downstairs to watch a gruesome murder but she looks completely unsettled when she sees Neil and his half destroyed face. And she looks like she wants to step forward but the guard holds her back.

Nathan is rambling about her watching because she needs to know what would happen if she crosses him and Neil is so angry he can’t listen. He just keeps staring at her hoping that his expression is doing anything to tell her it’s okay, it’s okay, don’t be afraid, it’s okay. She starts crying as soon as Nathan is telling Neil what Lola is going to do to him.

Can I have a prompt batch for romantic urban witches?

!! of course!

  • She loved her wife, no matter how many times she accidentally set the flowers on fire instead of making them healthier, or tried to use magic in order to set the table, and then breaking all the dishes in the process.
  • There was always background noise outside their apartment– car horns, people chatting on the street, the occasional shout for someone to “move out of the way” or “watch where you’re going.” Sometimes her girlfriend couldn’t stand it, so she used a little bit of magic to make their home quieter.
  • On her birthday, she kisses her on the cheek and hands her a good luck amulet. She wears it everywhere she goes. It’s not until she starts having a terrible day that she realizes she’s lost it and now has to scour the city to find it.
  • “You know, I could just… use a little bit of magic… to, uh… make your ex have a bad day… or week… or… month…”
    “No.”
    “But they’re the worst!”
“I love you, but you can’t use magic to ruin my ex’s life.”
    “Why not?”
  • She misses the stars she always saw when she lived in a less populated environment. Now she can’t see past the streetlights. Her girlfriend uses a spell to make the stars look just a little clearer and a little brighter, just for her, and she feels tears welling up in her eyes and her heart soaring.
  • “I don’t think we can use magic to get Bob’s Burgers back on Netflix.”
“What? But there has to be something we can do!”
She kissed her on the head. “Probably not.”
She sank into her girlfriend’s shoulder. “But we were almost finished with Season 5…”

So, watching that Keith Vlog was really interesting and cute *laughs* I can see the boy having some attachment issues there. But the thing that made it touching to me is the implicit fact that Shiro is VERY important in Keith´s life, in many more ways than we thought.
For someone with the attachment issues he sure has (I see an avoidant personality in his character), being able to express, talk about feelings and openly state they need or love someone is a huuuge thing. Someone must have made a hard work “rehabilitating” Keith (hope that person is Shiro!).
If I remember correctly, Shiro is constantly asking Keith if he is Ok, probably because he knows him too well and knows that he must keep remembering Keith to express his thoughts, to talk, to not keep things that bother him to himself.
I can see Keith being really hard to reach when they first met, but Shiro never gave up on him and eventually earned his trust.
