so this was a weird movie

David Lynch’s work – not just Twin Peaks but in a lot of his movies too – usually has this… Like… You know that feel when you go over to a friend’s house for dinner the first time and meet their family, who’d always seemed normal enough to you from a distance, but the more you spend time up close in their company, the more you realize that they’re actually pretty fucking weird and kind of assholes, but your friend is used to it and just goes with it and you’re like “oh god this is so awkward what the fuck do I do” because their parents are arguing over something you don’t have enough context to even begin to understand and meanwhile their little sister is chasing their aunt around with a stuffed lobster and the aunt is screaming because she has a crustacean phobia and you know this because their grandma who’d been silently knitting a three-armed sweater in her rocking chair while quoting train schedules from the 40s under her breath this whole time finally spoke up and you’re so perplexed it takes you a moment to realize that the parents had finally stopped arguing but you can’t breathe a sigh of relief just yet because suddenly the dad is asking your opinion on traffic lights and you can’t tell if it’s a casual question you can answer with humor or if it’s something extremely serious that you ought to give deep consideration and then your friend finally comes out of the kitchen with the roasted quails and you can cut them up just like regular chickens? Something like that.

A bit controversial: I thought Isak and Evens last conversation was extremely awkward, they were both so weird with each other. Henrik was obviously trying hard to be flirty and have eyecontact while Tarjei just seemed tired and off, only looking up from his plate like 2 times. I felt like the “Chili?” comment was improvised by Henrik (he’s obviously more used to the S3 references since he is so in touch with the fans) and when Tarjei didn’t catch the reference it got even worse for me.

Truth to be told, a lot of their interactions this season (minus the movie Even made for Isak, that felt real) have seemed much more forced than they did in s3, perhaps because they’re now aware of how famous this couple has become, and Tarjei being harassed and stalked by older men on facebook and his school (ex. a man in danish kosegruppa who kept writing sexual things about him, and some russian guy who came to his school and demanded to meet him and started crying), and of course the very real fetischizing from girls. Though I might just be seeing what I expect, because I expected them to get less comfortable after the shows international success.

Guess which movie I watched yesterday!!

Also while I was drawing this my brother complained they were too tall and asked me to draw Harold (cause initially it was just Harold) in the original artstyle (textually: “draw him as a brick”) and so this thing was born

Blondes with weird hair which makes them taller with weird cowlicks and striped shirts are my true and only weakness

remember pre-2010 when for some reason they’d release these incredibly cheaply made video game companions to movies? do they still do that? like it was for literally any movie. avatar hard one where you could side with the humans and murder the planet. it was so weird b/c either you’d get poorly animated and acted scenes that had v little to do with the story, or they’d just clip in Actual scenes from the movie as a segue to a completely untested platforming level.

that all said, the series of unfortunate events for the gamecube was a goddamn gem

(on sambucky vs dating) it doesn't seem like a Thing becuase they fall asleep with everyone on the couch with enough regularity that the two of them doin it doesn't seem weird!! (on steve and his sexy motorcycle) please omg i can't wait

YES!!! Sam and Bucky are just cuddly ass dudes in general so ? Nobody sees a problem with this. Every once in a while they watch a movie in Bucky’s room and fall asleep in his bed too! But then they also go like 2 whole days without speaking sometimes and ITS OK! Wow this is a great au

sorta weird question: have you seen guardians of the galaxy? which characters from haikyuu do you think would be good in a guardians AU? Or would play in a guardians movie (with ennoshita as director ofc)? (sorry if this is too strange lol)

HAHAHA this is a good question!

Okay so if Ennoshita was directing a Guardians of the Galaxy movie I’d say Oikawa as Peter Quil, Iwaizumi as Rocket the Raccoon (smol and perfect for bickering with), Bokuto is Drax bcuz BEEF, Kiyoko as Gamora because I don’t know that’s probably who it would be if Enno was actually directing this lmao and ummm LEV AS GROOT??? BECAUSE HE’S ALSO A TREE?

WHAT HAVE I CREATED OH MY GOD

It’s weird how people say Black Panther won’t do well if white people dont watch it so Black fans should stop being mean and “alienating” white viewers(because apparently that’s the only one that matters)as if Black people haven’t held up movies that were deemed “too Black” for the mainstream like Friday, Meance2Society, Barbershop, almost all of Tyler Perry’s filmography . Those movies were called Black movies and did fine. Friday for example made over 7 times it’s budget and White people didn’t even know about it like that until recently (bye Felicia thing 🙄)

It’s very self centered and ignorant to think that white dollars matter the most, especially since POC go to the movies more then white people. Black panther is going to be successful for many reasons but white people going or not won’t really matter imo.

Reminder: the Captain Underpants movie comes out this Friday!

There hasn’t been much advertising for it (which is weird, considering it’s a Dreamworks movie and other DreamWorks movies had a fuckton of promotion) and 20th Century Fox seems to have forgotten about it, so I wanted to get the word out so it doesn’t end up being a bomb and get lost amid the Wonder Woman hype. Reblog and help spread the word!

fuck man, i love love love reigen as a character. everything about him is so specific and weird but simultaneously relatable/understandable.

  • he’s selfish and has a strong sense of self-preservation, but that doesn’t mean he’s an asshole and doesn’t genuinely care about other people
  • his sense of self-preservation gets thrown out of whack when mob and the other kids are involved cause he understands that he’s responsible for them, which is great
  • very vain but also super insecure, i mean that’s like my favorite character trait
  • likes classical music and falling asleep during b-movies like?? wow
  • photoshop stresses him out, v relatable
  • he’s an extrovert and he has no friends
  • he’s not actually a good liar, but he’s so persistent and he has such random good luck that it doesn’t matter
  • a con man who thinks it’s his duty to help his customers
  • lonely boy
  • tries to exercise, hurts his back
  • lightweight

it’s excellent excellent writing.

Power Rangers (2017) outtakes

UPDATE: if u wanna talk about this personal vent that blew up send me a message, i’m not answering the anons lol. i know there are autistic people that disagree but this is directed specifically at allistic people that participate in ableism and yet do the whole meme thing and that it made me and yes, many others uncomfortable. particularly as many of the joke posts start with someone not understanding why the joke is funny, etc. if you’re not autistic however literally you can like not even interact with this post like i really do not care.

like i get the Joke or whatever but i’m here to be that annoying reminder that autism exists and all of you are complicit in ableism re: the babadook

the movie is… pretty…clearly about ableism? her son is autistic- that’s why he’s bullied, that’s why he has meltdowns and sensory issues and doesn’t pick up on social cues, that’s why he’s ‘annoying’, that’s why her sister just Hates him- and she’s your typical autism mom. she takes it all out on her son, she hates that she gave birth to a child that was fucked up and Wrong and lost her husband in the process, she doesn’t have enough ‘support’, nobody understands, etc. he’s annoying and loud and complicated and she hates him the way some of you in the audience did.

the babadook is her hatred of him, her inability to accept his autism, etc. that’s why she tries to kill him(the way so many autism moms do, the way autism speaks tries defend), that’s why she tries to physically abuse it out of him, that’s why she has to ‘feed the monster’ every so often (the way autism moms™ have their ‘mom days’ to complain about how much they can’t stand their kid, how sometimes they wish they’d never been born, how they consider drowning them in kiddie pools bc it’d be ‘kinder’, the way that famous anti-vaxxers report having to go stand in rooms and throw shit at walls to avoid hitting their kid)

it’s…really apparent to me as an autistic person and it is so many others, too? sam has to protect his mother from the babadook. he’s terrified of it (her)- the movie even makes clear that she was the one that wrote the book. she tries to kill both herself and sam (glass in the food). she becomes more and more unstable, aggressive, and violent, and sam’s response as an autistic child is to mirror what he sees. his meltdowns increase, he has less support, he spends all his time latching on to the remnants of the only person he has.

like it’s…idk, really uncomfortable for me to see all these allistic people first making fun of how annoying the (autistic) kid was, and misinterpreting the movie to a frankly astounding degree, and then the Joke is that straight people don’t get how he’s a ~gay icon~ (which… many of the people in the first few posts from which the meme comes were autistic…. )

idk. it’s really weird for me to see allistics carry on with this elaborate lgbt icon joke by laughing in the faces of people that don’t understand why, when half of us are autistic… being mocked for not understanding a movie…about ableism…by allistic people. the mind boggles.

i mean whatever its a joke gay babadook etc but y’all didn’t even get it the first time and you’re joyfully, self-assuredly ableist all the time so it’s really weird that this is just kind of drowning out all of the #actuallyautistic posts i was enjoying reading in the tag but i mean, allistics will be allistics, i guess

i saw wonder woman and i cried several times, mostly when i saw diana storming into battle. and then it was over and i went to the bathroom and i burst into tears because i am twenty one years old and that is the first time i’ve seen a superhero movie with a female lead. the first time ive sat in a cinema and watched a superhero movie with strong, capable, fierce women, directed by a woman, not an object thrown about by men, not a subject of the male gaze.

i cried because i felt so weird when i realised i’d never seen that before, and so proud that all women can go and watch it and be like!!!!!!!!! thats a woman hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who fights evil and pursues justice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who has her own demons and overcomes her internal conflicts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a lady hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roommates (M)

╳ Summary: Being roommates with your best friend can be fun until one day you look at him differently.

(this is something that I found that I had written months ago and just decided to post it!!)

The day you looked at your best friend as more than a friend, you knew you were screwed. It happened out of nowhere. You just woke up one morning and looked at him differently. You were never going to tell anyone, you weren’t stupid. That would just lead to Jimin being freaked out and nothing being the same. Risking your friendship with Jimin was not worth the little crush you had on him.

Deciding that you couldn’t fall back asleep, you got up to start the morning. Walking into the kitchen to get some breakfast, you didn’t notice your best friend standing there.

“Holy shit! Jimin, you scared me!” You yelled, clutching your chest.

“What’s gotten you so jumpy?” Jimin asks, laughing while opening the refrigerator
