i got a new yellow kanken for this school year and i’ve already put some pins on it and it looks so cute!!!!!! i’m so excited to use it for the upcoming school year hahah at first glance it looks so small but it actually fits a lot:0000 so here’s what’s in my bag!
a folder: i use this folder for reply slips, notices, my temperature record sheet (which my homeroom teacher checks every morning to make sure we’re not sick) i find it easier to store things i need in the homeroom period in one place so i know where things are when i need them!
pencil case: i use a muji pencil box because i wanted to have a pencil case that is easy to carry and could hold a decent amount of pens. this pencil case holds three pens, one mechanical pencil, one eraser, one correction tape, one ruler, a clip, and a stapler. i was actually surprised when i found out that this case could hold so much with its small ass size (side note: the cover for the pencil case is actually the perfect size for my schedule so i sticked the schedule for my classes on there for my easy access!!!)
pencil bag: i know i already have a pencil case but hear me out!!! i found having a colour for each subject/class is really convenient and it makes things so much easier when you need to organise things such as planning a study schedule. so, i chose to buy another pencil bag for all my mildliners and some sticky tape (and correction fluid) now that’s a heavy pencil bag but you never know when you need those special supplies:>
planner: now we all know we absolutely need a planner to know what we’re doing a hundred percent of the time. a planner is essential for me cus i have no memory so if you tell me about an event that’s weeks away there’s no way i’ll be able to remember that. that’s why i dump all of my schedules into this nice little book and i don’t have to freak out about whether i have a test today.
memos: memos are so convenient and useful if you constantly forget things like i do and you need to remind yourself to for example, talk to a teacher during recess or hand in an assignment before lunch, they are also great to doodle on
macbook: i use google docs for most of my typed assignments and some of my notes so a notebook is definitely needed for me to work efficiently (unfortunately only some of my teachers allow us using devices during class:( )
charger: i bring a charger for both my phone and laptop just in case i forgot to charge the night before to save a life
earphones: to me, earphones are an essential whenever i go out because although we’re not allowed to listen to music in class in our school but it’s also nice to wake myself up by listening to music on the way to school and relax a bit with music after school
pouch: this pouch carries one lip tint, some lip balm, some moisturising cream, a mirror, and a comb. taking care of my looks wakes me up and keeps me in a good mood:D (plus, i once had lips so dry they started bleeding non-stop, that left me traumatised so i’m never going anywhere without my lip balm again)
some candy: i once almost fainted because i had low blood sugar so i say it’s for my health but who are we kidding i just like candy
hair tie: i hate sweating,,, i hate hair with sweat even more,,,,,, hair ties saves my ass
water bottle: i used to not understand the importance of water but boiii now i know how much i need water,,, i do choir so i usually just drink water when i’m singing and absolutely needed to drink (like after i run in pe) but now that i realised water keeps me awake and peeing a lot i remind myself to at least drink two big bottles of water before school ends:>
woww this was a long post,, i really enjoyed the process of typing this though because i’m reminding myself of what i need to bring for school and make sure i didn’t miss anything. i hope y’all enjoyed this useless information!!!
That’s the definition of a
soulmate, isn’t it? One soul, two halves, split between two separate forms.
Alike in every respect.
In a world where people are
born with a coloured marking somewhere on their body, your soulmate is supposed
to be the one who carries the exact same mark. Kurosaki Ichigo has never put
much stock in these things — and the fact that his black sun mark and Rukia’s
white crescent moon is as different as night and day has nothing to do
with it. Ichiruki soulmates AU- maybe.
(Hey guys! This was my entry for IRBB! I have two chapters written - the next chapter will go up next week - and then the rest of the fic will join my roster of wip fics to be updated… when I have time…. hahahaha //cries//
And now, without further ado, please enjoy my irbb fic–
There’s a black mark on Ichigo’s palm.
He’s never spent too much time contemplating it. People attribute
so many things to these tiny coloured markings that appear on their skin. They
say it tells you the kind of person you are, the kind of person you’re going to
be. They say the person you’re destined to be with — your soulmate — has
the exact same mark somewhere on their body. Because that’s what the definition
of a soulmate is, isn’t it— one soul, two halves, split between two separate
forms. Alike in every respects. There are entire religions based around
this concept, dating sites that cater exclusively to making sure you meet up
with your other half. Psychics that claim they can read your entire future from
that one mark alone.
Ichigo thinks, it’s just a goddamn birthmark.
He hates all this destiny crap surrounding these marks. When
Tatsuki had asked him at the age of thirteen what his mark looked like, he’d
scowled and told her to shove off. His hand had clenched, reflexive, around the
shape getting ever-clearer against his tanned skin. She’d harrumphed, unperturbed,
and informed him hers was the shape of a crimson eagle and that it clearly
meant she was destined for greater things than him, if his mark was still the
misshapen blob she remembers it being when he was nine. He’d responded that her
mark looks more like a puddle of spew than the eagle she claimed it to be, and
she’d thrown a well-aimed kick at his shoulder and the conversation had been
By the time he’s fifteen, the mark is well and truly etched onto
his skin, no longer misshapen by any stretch of the imagination. Still, he
refuses to pay too much attention to it, refuses to try to analyse the shape
it’s settled into. It’s all bullshit, anyway. If he squints, he thinks you
could almost mistake it for an ink-black sun — see? Bullshit. There was
only one sun in his life, and she’d set six years ago and taken all the light
in his family with her. His mother was the sun, the one holding them all
together with her gravity; not him. And if his soulmate is anything like
him, if they, too, are represented by a dark black sun mark somewhere on their
body, then he wants nothing to do with them. He wants nothing to do with himself,
So when Keigo asks, exuberant, innocent, what his mark is, Ichigo
looks him straight in the eye and tells him he doesn’t believe in destiny.
Not enough time to do a proper display to show off my Slytherin pride, so some green here and there will have to do 💚. What do you think of my To Do List? I have 53 hours to do it all, achievable?
By the way… if I start my 100 Days of Productivity so that the last day fits in with my exams then it means I’ll have to start it on a Tuesday, which will drive my OCD crazy. But if I start it on Monday, I’ll be out of sync with exams! First world problems much… Any advice?
Soooo… I haven’t read the new chapter yet but I heard that those two were hanging out again so I took that old sketch, cleaned it up and put on some colors ( I literally draw everything on really big canvases and have about 5-7 things on each of them )
I’ve been asked a few times how I make my lecture notes so I thought I’d make a post about it.
First thing’s first: I use OneNote on the surface Pro! I absolutely love it - it is great for organisation - and I organise subjects into sections like this:
On the first page of each section, I have a list of learning objectives for that module, and then I make a page for each learning objective, and it ends up looking a bit like this (here is an example from my Genitourinary section) I’ve highlighted and arrowed some examples
So - for each lecture I have a template which covers most of the core aspects of a disease (aetiology, patho, epidemiology, treatment etc) and as the lecturer talks I make notes in the relevant paragraphs - I did this because my lecture notes used to just look like bodies of nonsensical text which I had to spend time organising and prioritising - my template for lecture notes looks like this:
And then when I get home, usually a few weeks after the lecture (It’s better to do it straight away but I struggle with doing that, so i normally do it in my revision) I tidy up all the notes, add colours and pictures so that the finished product looks like this:
Those are my Huntington’s disease notes that I made today as an example.
So that’s how I make notes and it has helped me so, so so much with organising this year - if you have OneNote try it out and see if it works for you :)
Early reading session today. I have shitloads to read and way too much stuff going on in various student organisations. So yea I guess you could say I’m pretty stressed out these days. But the pomodoro reading technique has really helped me out, definitely recommended!
It’s not much &. I haven’t been around recently to do much but I have recently hit a milestone &. just want to say a little thank you to all of you that hang around to interact with my book. I am not really sure as to what to write because of my bad way with words but please bare with me as I list off some names of people that have interacted with my boy &. myself (this will also include people I look forward to interacting with, I don’t want to separate people)
Please do not worry if your name isn’t on here, I still love our interactions / wish to interact but I cannot list every name honestly. So thank you to all of you, if it wasn’t for you I have that desire (not as strongly anyway) to continue to watch to write this snarky book. .DES
Padmé survives Mustafar. She and Obi-Wan strike out on their own with the twins, accumulating a far bigger family of clones, Jedi, and assorted troublemakers. Even in the shadow of the Empire, they manage to forge something new.
Captain Rex and General Kenobi both knew any interest they might have for the other was an impossibility. Then they discover that they are not just an impossibility, but something akin to a fairy tale.
After yet another confrontation with General Grievous, Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, along with Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and others from Skywaler’s 501st, find themselves crashed on a far-flung planet. With help two weeks away, our heroes must survive on this strange, abandoned land.
It had been an accident, or so Echo kept saying. They’d been bored, caught up in another endless round of ‘hurry up and wait’ and they’d been tossing around a flashbang in lieu of playing catch with something more dangerous. Like a grenade.
Of course someone had accidentally pulled the pin out and they’d all hurriedly stuffed their buckets on to protect their eyes. And then, because nothing is ever simple or easy. Captain Rex had walked in the room, sans helmet.
The 501st had, in Rex’s salty opinion, screamed like newborn Krayt Dragons and he’d had approximately three seconds to assess the situation before the world had turned impossibly white and he’d gone blind.
Rex waits by the bedside of one of his lovers, waiting (hoping) for him to wake up. Damn the Sith, anyway.
Or - Rex finds proof of the control chips and Palpatine’s treason before Order 66 can be fully carried out, and brings it to Anakin in time. Barely. Unfortunately, he does NOT get there in time to prevent the Order from being sent out to Utapau.
Anakin makes slightly better choices, Obi-Wan is a Mess™ and Padmé deserves none of this. AU from Mustafar onward with liberal manipulation of canon to culminate in some angsty, fluffy, domestic fix-it because we all deserve better.
I’m going to fix everything Lucas broke if it kills me.
As far as Anakin’s concerned, Obi-Wan is the picture of a perfect Jedi. or, Anakin thinks he knows everything about Obi-Wan but doesn’t. Anakin thinks a lot of things, actually, and he’s wrong about most of them. Anakin’s whole world view is turned upside down. Obi-Wan is having the time of his life.
There are rumours of yet another Sith Lord hiding among the Separatists. The Council sends Anakin to investigate. Anakin has a bad feeling about this. or, the story of how Anakin exists in a perpetual state of intense embarrassment, Kenobi is enjoying it a little too much, and everything is, generally speaking, a gigantic mess.
“I shouldn’t,” Obi-Wan said, body going rigid at her side. That wasn’t her intention, but she didn’t take the question back. She didn’t contradict him either. “The senator has only just returned. You two should—”
“He missed you, Obi-Wan,” she said, matching him for vehemence. In this, she would fight him. I’ve missed you, she thought, even though you’ve been here all along. “He would be disappointed if you didn’t put in an appearance.”
Order 66 had thousands of loyal soldiers turning on their commanding officers and shooting them down. A collection of stories about some of these clones and their Jedi, and how death can often be a matter of perspective.
“Maul was my pride, my greatest accomplishment aside from the political games that have wrought me control over the Republic. Why should I take a second apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi? Why would you be worth my time?”
Poe makes it out of the First Order’s clutches in one piece, which in and of itself is nothing short of a miracle. Or, well, he says ‘one piece’, but it’s hard to place physical value on mental capacities and anyways, he’s got other things to worry about than dealing with the aftermath of psychic Force-torture.
Such as that cute ex-Stormtrooper who saved Poe’s life, his droid, and most of his jacket.
Unfortunately (fortunately? He’s not really sure) for Poe, Finn knows what Kylo Ren is capable of, and he’s determined to help.
