While I’ll certainly admit that the refrain of “for Dean” in season 10 wore down on me, I feel like it’s possible that we’re watching different shows. Especially in recent Seasons. I mean… this is Cas.
The same Cas who, when he finds he’s been brought back to life full-powered, freely chooses to harrow Hell to free Sam from the Cage, even though it’s dangerous and “nearly impossible.”
It’s-better-this-way-Cas as he tries to atone for what he’s done to Sam by shifting the damage caused by hell trauma from Sam to himself, knowing that it could harm him (and it does).
We’re talking about Cas who stands up to his own brethren and says, “Come near Sam Winchester and I’ll kill you”—the same Cas who asserts, “The answer’s still no. Because Sam is my friend,” when offered a foolproof way to stop Lucifer.
Castiel even stood up to actual Lucifer in defense of Sam—Lucifer, his superior, an archangel—and said: “You are not taking Sam Winchester. I won’t let you.” We’re talking about the Cas who, despite how much Gadreel’s grace would have served his own and Dean’s needs when things were dire, stopped withdrawing it, healed Sam, and said nothing is worth losing you.
This is the Castiel who, when possessed by Lucifer, managed to overcome the archangel to keep him from hurting Sam, and whose response to Dean’s request that Castiel watch out for Sam when he was gone was an “of course,” as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Sorry, Anon, gonna have to strongly disagree with you on this one.
Guys, don’t worry. Yuzu’s got a long history of redeeming himself in the free skate- he’s been competing for a long time, and his mental state only gets stronger and more mature with experience and time.
Even if he doesn’t get gold, he is still very likely to make it onto the podium. If you take a look at his past competitions, you’ll see a trend. At Skate Canada International 2016, he was 4th after the short yet still managed to win silver overall; at SCI 2015, he was 6th after the short and silver overall. At Worlds 2012, he placed 7th in the short program, then went on to earn the bronze medal (with one of his most amazing, memorable performances to date, IMO). Just recently at 4CC 2017, he placed third in the short and then got a season’s best, breaking the 200 point barrier, to earn the silver.
The point is, we should all have faith in him. One less-than-ideal skate with a few mistakes doesn’t dictate the success of someone’s season or their career. Don’t forget, this is the Yuzuru Hanyu who won the Olympics and the World Championships at age 19, was the first man to break the 100, 200, and 300 point barriers, and has won 4 consecutive GPFs- and that’s only naming a few of his illustrious achievements. We, his fans, of all people, know better than anyone what a trooper and a fighter he is, and how he thrives under pressure. And above all, even if the judges decide to give him less-than-satisfactorypoints, that’s not what truly matters. As Yuzu himself has said, a score is just a score, whereas a performance is a performance, and something completely different altogether. Who else gets the crowds fired up like he does? Who else can skate with such finesse, passion, and prowess? He’s a brilliant performer, through and through, and that’s something that can’t be defined by any number of medals or awards.
So come on, fellow fans! Don’t let the doubts and worries get you down! The free skate is yet to come, and with it, another precious chance to see our genius at work! Let’s direct our most positive energies to him, spread plenty words of encouragement, and have faith in the man who has proven, time and time again, that he is worthy of being a champion!
Summary: On the road trip, Oliver tells Felicity about the first time he saw her.
A/N: I AM FEELING A LOT OF THINGS RIGHT NOW AND I NEEDED TO WRITE THIS.
Oliver gave a quick glance to Felicity, the sun setting just behind the coastline. He had an overwhelming feeling of bliss taking over his chest. He had never been this happy in his entire life. The drive had taken up most of the day, but they had no real destination they planned to go to.
“Did I ever tell you about the first time I saw you?” Oliver asked, a short time after passing around a bend. Oliver could see out of the corner of his eye Felicity turn to look at him. He didn’t know exactly what her face looked like, but he guessed it was a miser of confusion and curiosity.
“We were both there Oliver, so yes, we’ve talked about it.” She chuckled, and her hand placed over his on the gear shift.
“Well,” He said guilty, and Felicity’s head tilted somewhat in the side of his vision. “I saw you before the first time we met.” He admitted and Felicity chuckled, her legs hitching up onto the chair of the passenger seat.
“What? When?” She asked, her hand sliding up his arm, her nails digging into his arm as she waited for him to explain. Oliver rolled his eyes, knowing full well that Felicity would pester him until she found out the whole story. He sighed and glanced over to Felicity, whose eyes were full of anticipation and a bite of her lip clued him into her intrigue.
“It was when I was supposed to be in Hong Kong. We travelled to Starling to find part of the Alpha Omega Bio weapon.” He started, the sun taking its last look upon the shore, a glimpse of orange and yellow sparkling across the water. “I had to get something from my father’s office, and then I heard someone coming.” He continued and Felicity was still staring at him. “It was you.” He glanced over to her, and her breath hitched, a tighter bite to her lip, her cheeks echoing the colour of his own most likely. “I meant it when I said you were the first person I saw as a person. You called me cute.” He smirked and Felicity covered her mouth with her hand.
“You were there? That’s embarrassing.” She said in a bashful tone. How could he not be in love with her when she was this beautiful even when embarrassed. His hand moved from the gear shift and grazed along her thigh.
“It was adorable.” He laughed. Felicity curled her fingers around Oliver’s, bringing his hand to her lips, where she kissed them sweetly.
“That was years ago Oliver, how do you still remember that?” She pressed her cheek to his knuckles, and he felt how hot her face actually was. She was embarrassed. It was so endearing and amazing to have her gush over him the way he did about her.
“You were special, since the minute I saw you, I knew that. You babbled and were flustered even when you were talking to a photo of me. I don’t know, you made me smile for the first time in a long time back then.” He explained, and Felicity sighed, kissing the inside of Oliver’s palm.
“If you weren’t driving, I would kiss you.” She murmured into his hand. Oliver didn’t even question what he was doing. He broke the car slowly, unbuckled his seatbelt and moved towards Felicity slowly. “Oliver, you can’t just stop in the middle of the road.” She said, her hands pushing on his chest gingerly.
“I can if I want to do this.” He smirked before leaning in towards her. He gave her the option, and she gave in full heartedly, her lips moulding against his. He pulled away, watching as Felicity’s eyelashes fluttered and her cheeks remain a crimson red. Oliver started the car up once more, and Felicity sighed happily as they continued on their journey.
“So, you’re happy, are you?” She gushed, and Oliver chuckled. He reached out for Felicity’s hand, and she gently placed into his, her fingers finding the gaps between his, fitting the two hands together.
“Ever since meeting you? Yeah, I’m happy.” He smiled, and the sun finally finished it’s goodbye over the horizon, the first hint of darkness breaking, and the stars shining just for them.
Cause she wanted to be tagged, here you go dust2dust34
In which it’s very difficult to love two people at the same time, and our favourite heroes learn it the hard way.
Note: I did NOT mean to let this fanfic take over my life. I did NOT mean to spend the last eight hours writing it. This was NOT supposed to happen, dammit.
Note2: Thank you all for the amazing response this little sh– err, fanfic got! All the likes, reblogs, comments and messages are very much appreciated, plus some of your tags were hilarious. I don’t know who told me to ‘wreck them’, but hell yeah I did.
Note3: Normally, I wouldn’t let you have it so soon, but this bastard wouldn’t let me live my life and I don’t want it anymore. JUST TAKE IT.
OH, and things get a bit steamy, by the way, but it’s still pretty tame (aka T rated). That, or I’m just too much of a sinner to be able to judge, welps.
Adrien’s voice was hoarse,
mouth opening and closing for moments after he identified the spotted heroine
who was confidently marching towards him, the sensuous swing of her hips not
unlost to his verdant eyes.
She was the last person he
wanted to see.
‘’You’re lucky I was
patrolling around this area. It can get pretty dangerous at night, you know?’’
Ladybug waved her hand matter-of-factly, finally stopping at a distance that
was not too close to be polite, but allowed Adrien to stare at her in all her
glory: his eyes glanced over the smooth, rosy skin of her cheeks, descended to
her modest but protruding cleavage and then her masterfully sculpted waistline,
to hungrily take in her long, lean legs, after which he berated himself and
brought his sinful gaze to a pair of azure eyes that could color oceans, glassy
orbs that somehow made his head spin, affecting him more than her luscious
As she smiled invitingly, a
smile that was actually kind and just a little shy transformed into powerful
temptation, sinful and seductive and maddening. He swallowed. He had to say
something. ‘’I was…’’
He was unable to finish,
however, Ladybug paid his verbal incapability no mind. For the first time, she
could see Adrien flustered, unable to control his gaze or even articulate
himself – and it was because of her. The
red coloring of his neck, the way his mouth moved but did not speak, the way
his hands fiddled with the ends of his shirt in a visibly unconscious manner –
it was all a reaction to her very presence, and it gave her a feeling of
control that was unfamiliar, foreign, but she relished it.
The mask was on; clumsy,
stuttering Marinette was gone. She was Ladybug and now Adrien was the one who lost his voice. The roles were reversed. She was in control.
Alice told me what she’d seen of Carlisle and his family. I could hardly believe that such an existence was possible. But Alice made me optimistic. So we went to find them.”
“Scared the hell out of them, too.” Edward said, rolling his eyes at Jasper before turning to me to explain. “Emmett and I were away hunting. Jasper shows up covered in battle scars, towing this little freak.” He nudged Alice playfully— “who greets them all by name, knows everything about them, and want to know which room she can move into. When I came home, all my things were in the garage.
