hey so i know i dont usually post about romanian things but i need to say this
so last night (yes, in the middle of the fucking night, like the filthy thieves they are) the romanian government passed a law that, basically, makes corruption legal (if its under 45k euros, which is a LOT) AND they’re going to let all the (few) people who (they barely) arrested for this out of prison…
i know this isnt as important to america as trump, but this is HUGE to us. there were (as far as i know) 90 thousand people protesting last night (the last time there were protests this big was in 1989 when communism fell, just to give you a perspective) and there are going to be even more today
this country has had problems with corruption since the dawn of time but i dont reckon it ever being made LEGAL. i just figured id bring some awareness to this…
dark plums making your hands sticky with juice. sitting on the porch at night barefoot and in a soft comfortable dress. you can hear crickets and frogs but the night swallows any other sounds to make room for the warm air that gently yet heavily settles around you. no obligations, no worries. your hair is messy, it tickles your skin, you’re content
Sometimes I look forward to the spring flowers and greenery so much that I start getting upset that it’ll be gone soon, before it even starts.
And when spring arrives, I start panicking cause all the flowers will be gone and I’m running out of time to enjoy them and I can’t do anything about it lmfao
This upcoming Sunday is the Spring Equinox (also called Ostara) and I am so excited to greet spring! I have been looking forward to this day for a while now, as winter tends to make me really tired and worn out, I plan on revamping myself with the start of the new season! I won’t be doing a whole celebration with a formal ritual and fancy spell, as I am in my final year of university and the next three weeks are crazy hectic for me and I don’t have time to plan a whole ritual- but I do plan on doing a little ‘boom closet’ type celebration. I thought I would share what I plan on doing for the Spring Equinox- take what you want and be inspired! A celebration doesn’t need to be huge, fancy, formal or time consuming- celebrate in small ways and keep in in your mind and heart throughout the day, and that is plenty!
Wear pastel colours! Greens, blues, purples, yellows, pinks- anything that is bright and soft, as to symbolise the flowers and return of colour to nature!
Lighting scented candles while I work along on my school work- mine smells like cherry blossoms and peaches!
I’ll bring out my rose quartz and white quartz to soak in the sun for a while, absorbing the energies- other gems that would love some sun are agate, garnet, and lapis lazuli
Buying fresh flowers from the market when I go out grocery shopping to bring home and put on my altar
Drinking my favourite herbal tea- teas with florals in them like lavender, jasmine and chamomile would be good- or even green tea sweetened with honey!
Setting out a little plate of chocolate eggs on my altar, blessed with good intentions and a sweet start to the season! Some will provide as an offering, and some will be dedicated as a study snack for me. (Sugar cookies would also be good if you aren’t a fan of chocolate!)
I’ll set aside a half hour to an hour to dedicate time reading and writing in my Book of Shadows my intentions for the coming season
Meditate at both dawn and dusk- letting my energies mix with the rising and setting sun
Clean my room! A top to bottom dust, vacuum, laundry, new sheets- the whole long mile! Shake out those old negative energies, draw in new energies, productivity and warmth into all the nooks and crannies
Seems silly but take a shower- matches the idea of the clean room. Wash off any bad or lingering negative feelings from whatever is making you feel down (I’m using floral and fruity scented soaps to charge it up) and walk out feeling like a new witch!
And, depending on how the day goes, I might be able to do a spell for new beginnings. I haven’t written anything formal, but I might end up just lighting a candle, doing some meditation and saying whatever comes to the heart.
Hopefully these things will inspire you to celebrate the coming of spring, even if you’re super busy. I have a laundry list of things to do this weekend, a bunch of schoolwork and chores and I’m going to be very stressed trying to cram it all in over 48~ hours but I made myself promise to celebrate the Spring Equinox. I think it’ll be good to rejuvenate my spirit and help me detox throughout the day while I still get things done.
I hope that this will come of use to you and I’ll write a post on Monday to tell you all how it went! Happy Spring and Ostara!
It’s been quite a while since I posted an outfit picture, but yaaa have this one of me shortly before we went fabric shopping! I bought some reeeeaaally pretty fabrics that I have some good ideas for… we’ll see how this goes! 😜
Also, looking forward to the Spring so I can start gardening! 🌱
Luz and Kradness Livestream in Taiwan (8/26/15) Report PART II
I watched from HERE (the link still works for anyone who missed it!) and I apologize if I misheard something. PART ONE HERE
Q: (for Kradness) Why does your voice sound electronic when you sing?
A: Kradness: Because my voice is more high pitched. (?) And if I think it would fit the song, when mixing I’ll do things to make my voice sound more electronic. (?)
Q: (for Kradness) How can you hit high notes so well? Have you had any secret training? Or tips (?)
A: Kradness: I couldn’t hit high notes at all at first, but when I forced myself to hit the notes I realized it wasn’t that bad and then I kept trying and gradually I’ve been able to get where I am now.
Kradness mentions that it took him around 3 years to be able to hit high notes so well. The announcer comments that Kradness is really amazing.
Q: What kind of ramen do you like the best? (T/N: Kradness loves ramen, in his documentary about his concert he talked about ramen)
A: Kradness: I can’t decide… I love all kinds of ramen… there’s something called Tongotsu Shoryu ramen in Japan… it’s really good so I love it.
The announcer comments that all the fans will probably order tongotsu shoryu ramen the next time they visit a ramen shop (shout out to this guy for understanding fans so well) Kradness, upon hearing the comments nods his head and tells everyone that they should eat it.
After this they discuss Luz’s collab songs with Kanon69.
(Royal Scandal, Cherry Hunt, Queen of Hearts, etc)
Luz says he feels Kanon69 could only write such songs and so he likes them very much. (Luz hitting on Kanon69) (the announcer makes the translator read the question because he can’t pronounce the English titles)
Q: What type of girls do you like? *screams from crowd*
A: Kradness: I like eating, so someone who could make really good food would be nice.
At this the announcer comments, “Everyone’s going to go home and cook now” (shout out to this guy for understanding fans ww) and hearing that Kradness laughs and says, “Everyone please make me a lot of delicious Taiwanese food!”
A: Luz: I’d want a girl who would love me unconditionally. And if I met such a girl, I’d love her unconditionally back *screams from crowd*
Announcer: A storm’s breaking outside. (I’m sure he’s worried the glass isn’t going to save him at some point)
After that they discuss about Luz and Kradness’ planned concert, it’s going to be around spring apparently.
Q: How do you take care of your voices?
A: Luz: Masks, cough drops and before I sleep I make sure it isn’t dry.
A: Kradness: Before I sleep I turn on the humidifier… keep hydrated..
Announcer: People say that Taiwan is really humid… you should come to Taiwan more often.
At this Kradness and Luz mention that it was raining very hard when they came and Luz casually adds that he’s thankful to everyone who came despite the rain (Luz hitting on the crowd) And then he repeats thank you in Chinese which results in loud screaming from the viewers.
Q: What is really memorable for you? (?)
A: Kradness: The smiles of everyone after concerts, not matter how hard it was, when I see everyone’s smiles I think to myself that it was worth it.
Announcer: Are you happy to see everyone here?
Kradness: I’m very happy to see everyone that came.
Luz: Everyone’s cute. (Luz hitting on the crowd)
The announcer mentioned that it was about time to end and as the crowd all went “awwwww” as the announcer asked Kradness and Luz to give a last word.
Kradness: This is my first time in Taiwan, I heard the food here is really good so I’m really looking forwards to it. Since there’s a concert here in the spring, I’m really looking forwards to coming here during that time. If anyone’s who’s watching now comes to the concert, it’d make me really happy, for sure it’ll be a lot of fun!
Luz: Who’s coming to the XYZ concerts? I’ll see you there! It’ll be fun!
Luz: This is my first time in Taiwan, I haven’t eaten anything yet *laughter*
And at the end Luz and Kradness take a pic with the crowd. This proposal is met with screams and girls fixing their hair. During this, the announcer keeps saying “be careful be careful” (to the utaites) as the screaming from the crowd intensifies.
(this is the pic! Luz posted it on his twitter!)
As a last word, Luz asked everyone to watch his new upload from today, but everyone from the crowd had already watched it to his surprise.(which is “ballerina girl” by mikito-p which seems to be about a girl dancing but it’s actually about sex)
And then they left saying “xie xie” (thank you in Chinese) to the screaming of fans.
New dresscode was shared with the students yesterday. The newest vague, stupid sounding rule being “Cover Your Curves this spring.” So now I’m looking forward to it being warm out so I can use trial and “error” to figure out what that even means.
