A note for all of us who feel defeated after Sessions from the Indivisible Team: This is the long game. We are going to lose a lot. We are going to get good at losing. We are going to lose cabinet votes for terrible nominees. We are going to lose bills that are offensive and appalling. But while we are losing, something else is going to happen. We are going to keep raising our voices and slowly our representatives are going to start listening to us. We’ve seen it happen.
It won’t happen because of next week’s call to action. It’ll happen over months, where you keep showing up, regularly. Then, we are going to start winning. It’ll sneak up on us. We won’t understand why we are winning. But it starts with losing in a particular way- where we raise our voices and call it out when we aren’t listened to, where we get close but not quite there.
The first 100 days of a President’s term are the honeymoon period, the moment when he’s most likely to get his agenda enacted. Trump is spending his first 100 days mired in controversy, scandal, and backbiting - and that’s because you haven’t for a moment let anyone in Washington forget just how unpopular he is.
Every time we change the narrative, every time we delay, every time there’s a newspaper story about a member of Congress avoiding his or her constituents, that’s a win. And it matters.
You have already made history. You’ve delayed the confirmation of Trump’s cabinet picks longer than any time in recent history. You stopped the gutting on the congressional ethics office. You’ve made Republicans so nervous about the repeal of the Affordable Care Act that it’s been pushed further and further down the road. You caused an uproar of historic proportions over Trump’s Muslim ban and saved lives and reunited families in the process. You’ve inspired people who have never before taken action to make their voices heard and learn how to do things like check how their members of Congress voted and call them out for it.
We’ll never even know about some of the victories - because those will be the fights that this Administration considered starting and then realized it couldn’t win.
We’re in this together. Every visit. Every call. Every loss. Every win. That’s just what friends do. #StandIndivisible
I wonder if this was scripted–this little kiss Mon-el stretches up to give her to end the scene. Like, do they get directed to do things like this quick peck or the kiss on the check previously in the episode, or is it just Chris x Mel having great chemistry and working really well together? The karamel relationship feels so real because of the attention to detail we’ve seen in each of their interactions, and I’m sure that the credit goes to Chris x Mel for that. I often take for granted what it means to have this relationship ship seem so natural and real–that it means Chris x Mel have a strong, natural chemistry as people and as actors, and they really care about their characters’ relationship portrayal. All these small interactions they have really authenticate the relationship. I love these two, and I love them togther.
Honestly it’s just taking pic, it’s not that deep.
If they didn’t want to be seen together they wouldn’t have sat next to each other or even interacted at all, but they did all of those on that night. They knew fans gonna see & capture their moments - especially cuz they’re in china (idk if u haven’t noticed but cfans love to share almost ~every pic~ they got on sns), they knew the show gonna broadcast them sitting next to each other. Other members knew as well cuz in the end they were the reasons y KD could sit next to each other (cuz they made it possible/not purposely separate KD).
JI waited for KS response cuz the guy asked KS not JI, hence y he let KS take the offer. If KS comfortable JI will go w/ it (it’s typical JI, he often makes sure KS comfortable or not - if u think im bs-ing u just look @ their moment during “naver starcast” for example. When KS was told to do aegyo, JI looked agitated as if he was worried KS would be uncomfortable, he even answered question that was directed to KS, but he ended up fanboying about it so…)
Okay, I’m hoping for some big battle against the Court of Owls at the end of the season that everyone gets involved in
And it’ll mean Eddie and Ozzie calling a temporary truce to their personal antagonism in order to survive the onslaught of Court assassins being sent after them (or whatever)
Then, during an ‘eye of the storm’ moment when they are hiding and unsure of their survival, they should take the time for a bit of emotional honesty. Which will be all serious and stuff - Eddie confessing he is glad Oswald survived and he is sorry he tried to kill him and Ozzie was right about them needing each other and stuff. And Ozzie would confess he still loves Ed and all that jazz
But MOST IMPORTANTLY it would include something like -
OSWALD [soft, genuine]: I’m sorry I killed Isabella.
