Hi! Random question, but what was that anime you recommended a while back for anyone interested in space operas? I wrote it down, but I can't seem to find it. (Also, I would love you forever if you put together an anime rec list since your taste is flawless. <3)

That was Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199! It was absolutely wonderful. I didn’t have any complaints whatsoever and it’s definitely one of my favorites.

As for a rec list, sure! I’m really picky about my anime and I tend to gravitate towards darker, philosophical titles. I like action but I’m really into the psychological and mystery side of things. And I’m always searching for all of that with a satisfying romance, too. I’m pretty hard to please, haha. On that note, I don’t particularly care for harems or school life, though there are quite a few exceptions to the latter.

I don’t really know how to organize this, so I guess I’ll split it up by action/drama and slice of life, since the tones are just so different.

ACTION/DRAMA

There are a few titles that I’ve started watching last season but haven’t finished, though I would still recommend trying them out. These include: Zankyou no Terror, Aldnoah.Zero, and Tokyo Ghoul.

For titles airing right now, I would recommend: Kiseijuu, Psycho-Pass 2, Shingeki no Bahamut, and Akatsuki no Yona.

SLICE OF LIFE

For this season, I’d highly recommend Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso.

As for films, I generally watch certain directors? Obviously anything by Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli, but please look up titles by Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Hosoda, and Makoto Shinkai.

Hope this was helpful!
