This is random, but I just watched a Star Trek TNG ep on Netflix, about a genderless civilization. When anyone feels like they may be male or female, they are put on trial & 'treated' so they can be accepted by society again. It's an interesting watch, especially given that this aired in 1992, well before any mainstream public discourse of gender identity. But also due to that, they're only broaching binary gender + no gender. It's s5 ep 17, The Outcast, if any of your readers is interested
