Fanfic:*is written way more better than most fanfics, plot is savage and awesome af,writing is beautifully wonderfully gorgeous*

that AWFUL writer feel when you’ve got both an idea for a story AND  a working title for a fic

but can’t for the LIFE of you think of a plot or where to go with the story, but you REALLY want to be able to write it because it’s a really neat idea

I have this idea for a moana fic inspired by this beautiful piece of fanart where I take on my own interpretation of how I think water spirt moana could actually work in the movie universe

basically the story takes place on motunui decades after the events of the movie. moana’s super old and (partially because I’m a jerk ) the fic would open with moana dying. her people send her out to sea as a burial because they know that’s what she would want most.

maui’s there. of course he is. sometime after the ceremony he’s quietly walking around the beach when the ocean starts going crazy splashing at his ankles. he thinks the ocean is just trying to comfort him, so he doesn’t pay much attention to it, but he doesn’t really push it away either.

that is until he sees a bright flash of blue light. he looks out at the water just as a large wave rises up and sort of looms over him for a short moment before falling into the shape of what moana looked like when she and maui had just met. like in the art piece, there’s a spiral in her chest similar to that on her necklace.

maui’s a little taken aback. almost doesn’t believe that it’s actually moana. but then she says something to him, maybe she makes some sort of wisecrack joke. and maui just. attempts to throw his arms around her because he can’t believe it’s actually her and that she’s actually standing in front of him talking to him. of course the hug doesn’t really work. she’s made of water.

he asks how this is possible. she explains that when she was sent out to sea, the ocean gave her her own heart. moana opens her now-starry necklace and there’s a clear-blue stone inside. it’s beating.

after they get everything cleared up, they run off on some adventure. moana finally gets to explore more than she ever could when she was alive and she’s super excited. she convinces maui to come with her by playing off some sort of “you have literally the entire ocean protecting you” speech.

and off they go.

I really want to go into detail about this adventure, but I’m having a lot of trouble coming up with where they could go. I’m thinking maybe they return to te fiti for more answers about water spirit moana. but other than that I’m having trouble coming up with some plot points

if anyone has any helpful suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

(The title I’m thinking of using is The Ocean is a Friend of Mine)

Every night is the last night. Every time is the last time. There’s nothing destined about this. If circumstances aren’t tearing them apart, then it’s they themselves, who are running or distracted and yet… life keeps throwing them back together. They’ve been taught to look down upon what each other are. They aren’t each other’s constants; they are each other’s exeptions. They never expected to have the place they do in each other’s lives. It’s a choice.

Fucking Finally

First things first, I did take inspiration from a different story. It’s Yoongi X Reader fic, I don’t remember the name but this is where the story generates from. However mine will be different.

So if any of you know the story that I am referring to, send me a link so I can credit the author appropriately.

“Oh fuck you Tae!” you screamed as you slammed your controller down on the table. Taehyung laughed as he watched his character throwing yours around in defeat. ’

You had invited him over to play some video games with you, seeing as how you’d just gotten a new gaming system. He offered to help you set it up if he could play on it with you. Since your asshole of an ex decided he wanted to dick down another girl while you were days away from celebrating your year and a half anniversary.

“Ha ha! I am the greatest! Come on, ___, tell me I’m the best,” he chuckled swinging his arm over your shoulder. You scoffed and pushed his arm off, walking to the kitchen to grab something to drink for the both of you.

Taehyung was quick to follow you. The two of you drank some water and tried to decide if you wanted to try to play another game or not. You had bought quite a few new games  and you and Tae had only played a few of them. Plus, Tae didn’t have to work today, so he was all yours so to speak.

“So, do you want to watch me play Skyrim for a little while?” you asked. “I need to go to Solitude and kill some of the guards for gold,” you suggested taking your glass back to the living room. Taehyung followed you and sat down on the couch before laying his head on your lap. You eyed him curiously.

“Go on, I won’t bother you,” he said, sipping out of his cup dangerously.

You sighed, but relented and let him lay on your lap. After a while you were just running around and not doing much of anything in Skyrim, when all of a sudden a dragon appeared.

“Oh SHIT!” you screamed, gripping onto your controller and scrambling to try and get your shouts ready.

And then, not surprisingly, you died.

Taehyung was fighting off giggling as he watched you pitch a fit.

“Oh shut up Tae! You know that dragon is hard to kill! I’d like to see you do it!” you yelled, slamming the controller down on the ground.

Late Night Calls

Written by: @khait-suten

You stare at the phone in your hand, tapping the screen to look at the time. 1:10 am. You bite your lip, debating.

Today had been a good day. Work was fine, an easy day even. You had even gone out to get lunch for once. Everything should have been going great. But for whatever reason, when you got home, things went downhill quickly. From the news stories you saw, to the hateful comments on tumblr, to the close-mindedness of the people in your Facebook feed, it all built up in your chest. Every harsh word, every depressing sentence, all the pain you saw seemed to cling to you, crawl inside your chest and take roost in your heart. You could feel a physical ache, your body curling in on itself slightly in response.

With your mood in free fall, your mind began to spiral to dark places. The harshness of society, if this is all humanity was as a whole, if any change at all would make a difference or if the cycle was too set to be changed. You think about people whose lives had been destroyed or irreparably damaged by uncaring, unthinking bullies, how much pain they had to endure, what they had to do to get even a fraction of their life back. If they were okay now, or if they still felt twinges of pain to this day. Did they experience this pain too? You hoped not, it’s awful, like a weight on your chest, making it harder to breathe.

Getting lost in your own head isn’t a new thing. You were usually very good at handling it. After 20+ years of dealing with this, you know the tricks to break yourself out of a downward spiral when it starts. However, none of the tricks were working this time. Sure, you could play any game in your extensive collection and that would work, for as long as they held your attention, but the second you turned them off, it would hit you again like a stack of bricks, and you were back to square one. Scrolling through tumblr just made it worse; as did anywhere else on the internet for that matter. It felt as if everywhere had been infected with the darkness that thrived in your heart and soul. No, you had tried all your tricks, and you were down to the last option, your trump card.

You hate doing this, dragging him in with you. But he is the only one who understands. You remember the first time you met in that little Starbucks, both of you hiding from the rain that had just started pouring down. You had sat at the table there, idly sipping your drinks and talking for hours, long after the rain had stopped. When he had left, he had given you his number on the back of the receipt laying on the table with the message, “If you ever feel scared, alone, or just want to talk, you know how to call me.”

With that, you had started texting back and forth, and he was now one of your best friends. You told him nearly everything, you gamed a lot, hung out at his flat or yours as often as both your schedules allowed, which wasn’t much. Even with all that though, you hated to call him at this hour, just to beg for help escaping your own mind. It made you feel like a useless, helpless child who couldn’t even keep herself sane and functional without assistance. But there wasn’t anyone else you really felt comfortable talking about this with, who wasn’t across the ocean.

You took a deep breath, and shot him a quick text of ‘You up?’. What you got in return was a call. “Who do you even think I am?” He answers, sounding wide awake.

You give a short laugh. “Of course, how could I ever contemplate the great Dan Howell would ever be asleep at the measly time of one am? Shame on me.”

“Damn right. Now, what’s up?”

You use your free hand to cover your eyes. “I’m… I’m having one of those nights where my head is spinning out of control. I keep thinking about the negativity in the world, how harsh and cruel society can be, how heartless the world is, and now it’s depressed me to the point where my chest actually aches, and I’m in too deep to pry myself out. And you’re the only one I know who knows how to get out of this pit.”

You hear him shift, no doubt setting his laptop aside. “Contemplating society and human nature after midnight never gets you anywhere good, that’s for sure. You doing okay? Do you want me to come over?”

“Dan, it’s after one, don’t be stupid. Just talking should be enough. If you’ve got the time, that is. If you’re busy I can-” You say, remembering that he might have better things to do than talk you out this mess of your own making.

“Hun, what have I always told you? I’m always here when you need me.” The endearment sets of a small spark of happiness and affection in your chest, easing the ache a bit.

You end up talking for hours. What you love most about talking to Dan is that you can mention what you think are silly stupid feelings and thoughts, little throw away comments, and he will treat those with as much consideration as he treats your deep insights into the human nature, or thoughts on the path humanity was on.

You eventually seem to hit the release valve keeping it all locked up inside, and you start sniffling a bit as silent tears slip down your cheeks. Once your tears dry, you take a deep breath, noticing the weight that sat on your chest is missing. You give a small smile. “Thanks Dan. I feel like I can breathe easy now.”

“Glad I could help. We have to stick together, you and I. Someone has to be there to pull us out of our existential spirals.” You can hear the smile in his voice. “Now, go get some sleep, it’s half four.” You yawn, realizing how tired you are. “See? It’s late, even by my schedule. Remember, I’m always here if you need me, okay? Goodnight.”

“Goodnight Dan. Thank you.” You say before hanging up. You drift off into an easy sleep after that. The conversation left a warm, light feeling in your chest, knowing Dan will always be there when you need him.

A Final Word - Episode 3 FINAL

Hi Guys!

This is just a post to help promote one of my friends amazing talents, that being creating Star Trek Fan fiction and converting them in to Audiobooks. She recently posted the final part of A Final Word, a tribute to Anton Yelchin and gosh is it a tear jerker this one!

The story looks to offer a potential reason as to what happened to Chekov after Beyond and before the upcoming film, a final story to say goodbye. As always the editing is top quality a long with the incredible voice actors!

This is completely FREE to listen to, so if you have the time I really recommend that you give this and her other stories a go! You will honestly get lost in the moment!

‘He didn’t die a hero’s death, but he sure lived a hero’s life.’

I did not create the aforementioned work, so please if you wish to credit/leave a comment for the author/creator please do so on the youtube page above.Full credit to be given to Warrior717 / Warrior717 Productions.

A Final Word. Chapter three. Written by Warrior717. Directing, casting, editing, and audio/special effects by Warrior717. Narrated by Jodi Krangle. With Matthew Curtis as Kirk and McCoy, Ben Amos as Chekov, and Debbie Grattan as Uhura.

•Hiccstrid’s evolution

•It’s been a moment since I wanted to talk about this ship.
This is a relationship I think that everyone is kinda envious with.
They know that they love each other but keep acting like best friends, caring about the other one dearly, have a complicity that only them can have.
It’s not only the fact that they are cute together that makes me love them, but the way that they are strong characters when they are alone, but even more strong when they are side to side.
Supporting, fighting, protecting each.
And mainly, as long as we are watching the show every season, we can’t help to feels attached to them.
Again, it’s only my thoughts about Hiccstrid so it’s an only opinion.
