A blueberry smoothie and a misty morning walk around the park to start my Thursday. I had set the alarm to get to Thai-X-Fit but I awoke with a slight headache and frankly, didn’t feel like it.
There are 90g of blueberries in that smoothie even though it’s not very blue. My Boomers pure whey isolate powder arrived yesterday so I tried that too - nice.
I went to the doctor yesterday and came out with decent news. After the ER visit on Saturday I had to go see him asap to figure out what happened. After talking to him and telling him my potassium was low he told me to drink a banana smoothie everyday from now on. Not really a problem other than most smoothies have milk products and I’m trying to cut milk out of my diet so it’s kinda hard. Last night I made a smoothie out of a banana, two cups of ice, 8oz of orange juice (reduced acid type) and a few blue berries. Let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! There was so much I had half of it last night and the other half this morning. The low potassium is from being on florinef (a steroid) for such a long time (at least 18 months). So far no palpitations! If anyone has yummy smoothie recommendations that have banana and no milk I would love to hear them!!
