Day 27 Smoothie of the Day: Mango-Kiwi Smoothie

We used 2 mangoes, 3 kiwis, 1 serving of spinach, ice, and coconut water. 

As you can probably imagine, this smoothie tasted really healthy haha. We eventually added some agave to give it some sweetness. Overall, it was an ok-tasting smoothie, but super healthy!

Taste: 7/10

9/13 food choices

Today isn’t the first ~official~ day of my weight loss journey, I’ve been working on it for about a week and a half now. But I’m feeling really awesome about the food choices I’ve made today! I’m trying to stick to 1200 calories a day, if I go a bit over to 1500, it’s not the end of the world though.

Breakfast was a hard boiled egg (unfortunately I can’t stomach them without a literal ton of salt, but I’m working on it!)

Lunch was a Greek yogurt with almonds and a few ounces of turkey.

I made a protein smoothie for a snack, I was super hungry! It consisted of about a half cup of skim milk, a banana, a scoop of protein powder, and cinnamon! Super yummy.

I haven’t eaten dinner yet, but my husband and I are planning on sharing a beef a broccoli dish!


Peach Ginger Mint Green Smoothie

This fresh, summery smoothie will quench your thirst and rejuvenate your cells! My ingredients veer a little from the smoothie ingredients we typically use. This one makes use of all of the produce (except ginger) you can find at your your local Farmer’s Market or food co-op right now! Since I have a smoothie recipe for winterspring, and autumn, I thought a summery green smoothie recipe needed to be posted. You can check out our Super Antioxidant Smoothie which does use summer produce (but it’s not green!).
