“Every which way” There’s an interesting #art / #design “#installation” happening at the Hong Kong Cultural Center right now that is very interesting. I don’t really have the details but I believe that the organizer invited people in Hong Kong to hand paint these figurines and then placing them in these massive rows pointing to every direction. Check it out! #smlrec #culture. Figurines Diversity / SML.20121116.IPH6 / #ccby #smlphotography #lifecelebratesdiversity #smlprojects (at Hong Kong Cultural Centre 香港文化中心)

“金銀蛋浸時蔬” Seasonal vegetables (spinach) in broth with duck eggs and thousand year eggs — you see how wordy English is when compared to 中文? #biobots are good at 1 thing: pattern recognition. This is summarized very well in William Gibson’s 2003 novel of the same name. Very well written. I rarely read fiction. I mostly read technical manuals cover to cover. Regarding tech manuals I recommend those written by Sony, Adobe and HP. O’Reilly books are also very good. In any case, reading Gibson’s novels are always extremely meditative. Highly recommended. #data #future #books #smllove #smlrec (at SML Universe)
Queues are not made equal—Adobe Media Encoder’s ability to output to multiple media targets in the same process + utilize all cores of the Core i7 saves a ton of time when compared to other media encoders which render each output one after another. #videography #tools #smllove #smlrec / SML.20121119.IPH5 / #ccby #smlphotography #smluniverse (at SML Universe)
Crazy—meeting yet another New Yorker for dinner tonight. People in NYC like to think that New York is the #hub, but how come I see more friends in Hong Kong than when I was in New York? :) Heichinrou 聘珍樓—my favorite Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong which tastes better than many Michelin starred restaurants in town! #hk #cn #food #smllove #smlrec!
