It was no secret that you and Draco were the best of friends. The Malfoys and the Y/L/Ns were known to be comrades in the past, and they still are up to this moment. When you were still a toddler, his family and yours would spend every holiday with each other, so the blooming of your friendship with him was inevitable if you were going to be frank.
Though, as the years pass by and the two of you grow older, some things started to change little by little. Of course, you were getting mature and so did Draco. The next thing you know, what used to be harmless teasing held meaning. Every hug and ‘I love you’ didn’t just mean just something, it meant more.
The both of you knew you loved each other, but neither knew that the other was in love already, and that often led to a few confusion and probably hope.
“You’re a coward.” Draco taunted while he mounted his broom up in the astronomy tower, standing on the edge with a very mischievous grin on his face.
You rolled your eyes, “It’s called being practical and safe, Malfoy. So do me a favor and just go back here before someone catches us.”
It was already past curfew and Draco had managed to force you to go up to the astronomy tower with him. You thought the two of you were just going to talk there, have a little banter, but as soon as he picked up his broom you knew what he intended to do.
“What if I don’t?” he asked, his grip on his broomstick getting tighter.
“I’ll tell your father about this.” You teased which caused him to scowl.
“You wouldn’t.” Draco narrowed his eyes towards you.
You couldn’t help but smirk. “Don’t test me.”
Just as those words left your lips, he purposely dived down which caused you to widen your eyes and rush towards the balcony.
You weren’t a fan of heights, so you never understood what was the hype about riding broomsticks despite riding one in the past for academic purposes only. For this reason, Draco always thought it was funny to tease you about it by flying around your space or threatning you by pretending to slip from his broom, much to your annoyance.
It took a few seconds before Draco appeared in front of you in midair.
Even though he had done it a hundred times, it still makes you really anxious every time he does it because of the thought of him falling down and breaking all his bones and probably dying.
You glared at his grin and turned around, not tolerating his actions this time for you were far too tired and sleepy.
“Wait, Y/N,” he flew towards your direction and got down, grabbing your elbow. “I’m sorry. You know I like to make fun of you like this.”
You pulled away from his hold, “And you know I don’t like those kind of jokes. How many times do I have to tell you that —”
“Yada, yada, yada, yada.” he cut you off by abruptly pulling you to his chest.
Draco placed both arms around you and hugged your body, swaying side to side to lighten the mood. You admit that it was working a little bit but you were still annoyed.
“How much do you care for me?” he asked out of nowhere while you give in and return his hug.
“Why do you ask?”
You raised your eyebrow, pulling back to look at him properly. “That’s not the real reason.”
He looked uneasy as he too stepped a little further to see your face clearly, just under the moonlight with the wind blowing softly causing your hair to slightly fly behind you.
“You’re right …” he bit his lip. “Um, I was actually going to tell you something tonight, that’s why I asked you to come here with me.”
“So, you didn’t ask me to come here to annoy me?” You teased which made him laugh.
He shook his head. “No, no.”
You nodded and crossed your arms. “What are you going to tell me then?” you inquired. “Are you finally confessing your undying love for Potter?”
“Y/N, you completely ruined the mood.” he bluntly stated while you chuckled.
“Then tell me. Hurry up because I’m sleepy.”
“Okay.” he murmured softly before gaining the courage to lean down and kiss you.
Your eyes were wide at first but you slowly learned to close them after a few seconds. But once you started realizing that Draco Malfoy, your best friend, was kissing you, you stopped kissing him and pushed him away.
“Bloody hell!” you slapped his arm. “W-What was that?”
He frowned, “I’m sorry, I thought you wanted to —”
“I could have if you asked!” you didn’t let him finish his sentence, your cheeks red from what just happened moments ago.
Draco was confused by your statement. “Wait, so you do want to kiss me?” he was smiling now.
“Properly.” you defended. “I mean, I was expecting our first kiss to be something romantic. You could have at least told me so I was ready.”
“Y/L/N, you are extremely peculiar.” Draco mused. “But I guess that is one of the reasons why I’m in love with you.”
You grinned at that. “You do?”
He stepped closer. “Yup.”
Draco leaned down again but stopped just as your noses were touching. “Can I kiss you again?”
You laughed. “After I tell you I’m in love with you too.”
He snorted at how cheesy you were but you can see how his eyes sparkled at your words. Draco grinned and finally pressed his lips to yours again, your arms finding its way to his neck to pull him closer.
Request - “Can u write a montyxreader where he’s very protective of her bc he likes her a lot”
(Sorry but I decided to switch Bryce with Marcus because I don’t really wanna write Bryce I hope that doesn’t mess up your vision and that this is okay!)
Locker code: confirmed, you thought to yourself, throwing in the heavy books you no longer needed for the remainder of the day.
Shutting your locker, you readjusted your bag and turned to go- before feeling eyes on you. From the corner of your eye you could spot Montgomery de la Cruz watching you. What was he doing? You thought. You knew each other fairly well, your social circles merged, but conversation was lacking.
Often, you were teased a little by your friends because you were so innocent. You were kind and caring and your friend Hannah described you as; ‘a ray of light’, a contrast to how Monty was portrayed. With a temper like a kettle, the boy was no stranger to trouble. He was attractive, no doubt, and on occasion you’d got to see the soft, teddy-bear side of him. It was clear to you that Monty was with the wrong crowd, he was often frustrated with them and struggled to be around them.
You decided to pretend to ignore Monty, he probably wasn’t even looking at you. You started off to your next class and noticed laddish laughter not far from Monty. Marcus appeared to be the cause of the laughter, his cronies hitting him in congratulation for whatever he had said. You decided to ignore them too, idiots.
In class you felt the same eyes on you, but they would occasionally scan the classroom, before making their way back to you.
“I don’t know. I mean, I think he’s really nice, but the hovering is a little odd sometimes.” You explained to Hannah. You always saw the best in people.
“He has a bit of a temper but he’s a good guy really. I’m sure he has a fair reason, you should ask him!” She encouraged. You laughed weakly.
“Probably not…” you trailed off, imaging how weird you’d look going up to Monty with; 'why do you keep hovering?’, yep. Definitely not.
Monty’s POV (a couple weeks prior)
Marcus and the boys were laughing next to him and messing with each other. Monty was laughing along as usual, not taking on everything that was being said.
“Monty? Eh? Whaddya say?” Justin nudged Monty.
“What?” He clicked back to his senses.
“Y/N L/N? Hot or not?” Justin asked.
“Yeah, hot. She’s cool.” He nodded.
“Isn’t she like some kinda virgin queen?” Zach asked, clearly getting confused from his revision.
“Who knows.” Marcus responded.
“Her sex life isn’t really our business, unless we’re involved.” Piped up Monty.
“You know what?” Marcus cut in. “I’m gonna ask that girl out someday soon.”
Monty jerked his head up.
“Why?” He asked more suddenly than he’d intended.
“Really? Y/N, little angel Y/N. I want to see how good our little angel is in bed. Does she have a devil side? Innocent girls like that always have a kinky side - I swear.” He chuckled to himself, eyeing Y/N up from across the corridor.
“She’s tight man. Yeah, imma ask her out.” He repeated, stroking his chin and wetting his lips with his tongue.
If there was one thing Monty had decided in the past minute, it was that Marcus Cooley was a through and through pervert. He was creepy as hell. Monty was disgusted by how grossly Marcus was acting, and he wasn’t going to let him anywhere Y/N if there was anything he could do about it.
Your POV (now)
You were putting books away again, and spotted Monty, again. The exceedingly attractive boy was starting to worry you, and make you conscious of your appearance. Had you had the same piece of spinach in your teeth for about two weeks? Did your hair look bad? Were your clothes gross? You had no idea. A tap on your shoulder broke you from your thoughts.
You had been so immersed in your thoughts you failed to notice the boy had gone.
“Hey, Y/N…” Montgomery was stood in front of you, his freckles full from the sunshine and his eyes glistening chocolate.
“You alright Monty?” You asked, hoping maybe he’s give an explanation as to the recent weirdness. He nodded;
“I’ve seen you looking.” You burst out before you even realised your mouth was moving. “At me. I’ve seen you watching me.” You clarified. You were instantly mortified at yourself, feeling rude and weird.
Monty smiled bashfully.
“Yeah I uh- I’m not being creepy - i promise, I just think you’re pretty rad to be honest.”
“So you just decided to watch me?” You laughed.
“Actually um, Marcus, Cooley, said a few things that grossed me out and I was trying to keep him away from you.” He breathed in honesty.
“Away from me?” You questioned.
“He said was planning on asking you out.”
“He did. I walked away without saying anything.” You giggled.
“Marcus was right about something, taking you out on a date would be awesome. I’m glad you rejected him.” He tried to conceal his smile to no avail. “And I felt a bit protective, okay, a lot protective, you’re the kindest soul at this school, and because I’m pretty certain I have a thing for you.” He was looking at his feet, “and I know you don’t feel the same back, it’s okay, I just needed to get it off my chest.”
You smiled at the sweet boy in front of you and leaned in on your tiptoes to peck him on the lips. When you saw the surprise on Monty’s, you leaned in and kissed him properly, smiling.
“Pick me up at six.” You smiled sweetly before sauntering off to happy dance in a toilet cubicle.
I can’t lie and say that I was completely terrified of this meet up with Taehyung. I felt as though there were still some healing cuts, I know I seem as though I’ve got my shit together now and I know I may seem as though I’m okay. But in reality I’m still terrified. I’m easing myself back into my old habits, trying to be the me I was before. I’m trying but I don’t know what’s real and what’s fake.
we all know alec would be too distracted with magnus at the institute
prompted by the lovely @ja9 ! thank you so much, dear. sorry it’s been a while lol D: but i have 3 weeks until my mid-year break, so send in your prompts and scenarios!!
and as always, let me know what you think :)
Whenever Maryse would take charge at the Institute, Alec was more than happy to take a back seat. He loved being the Head, he had dreamed of it his entire life. But sometimes, it was nice to have a break – especially when Magnus was around.
Alec and Magnus hardly had any time to spend with each other when things got busy. Magnus would become wrapped up in his potions and the endless clients at his doorstep, while Alec was not only out on the field more but also cooped up in his office doing some paperwork when necessary. So when they both found themselves in the same room together, nothing else, no one else really mattered.
The whole team – hell, the entire Institute – had gotten used to it by now. They were initially annoyed at how preoccupied they were with each other, but now they didn’t care.
“Okay, listen up. Alec and I will check out the Central Park demons,” announced Jace as they all gathered around a table. “Izzy, Clary – Lydia has some stuff she wants you guys to take care of.” Jace turned to Simon. “You can… like… go home, I guess,” he said, dismissively, earning a glare from the Vampire.
“At least I’m paying attention!” exclaimed Simon, gesturing to Alec and Magnus who were much more interested in something on Alec’s phone. Jace opened his mouth to defend his parabatai when he realised he couldn’t. The entire group had stopped and turned to face Alec and Magnus while they continued to be oblivious.
Izzy couldn’t help but let a smile creep onto her face as she watched her darling brother pressed up behind Magnus, chin on his shoulder, as he laughed at something Magnus said. Jace and Simon both immediately narrowed their gazes in suspicion. Alec never laughed. Well, not around them, at least.
Magnus smiled while pointing at something on his phone, probably explaining something mundane. Alec chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Magnus’ broad shoulders and nuzzled his face into Magnus’ neck in order to kiss his cheek. Magnus squirmed but twisted his face so that Alec could kiss him properly and smiled when he did.
Clary clenched her jaw, trying to contain her wide grin, as she watched the two ignore Jace and continue to cuddle. “Alec,” called Jace and the man in question didn’t even bat an eyelash. “Magnus?” he tried but he was left without a response. Sighing frustratedly, Jace crossed his arms. “Alexander!” he called.
Alec and Magnus both immediately whipped their attention over to the blonde boy, frowns deepening in their brows. Alec stood still, arms still wrapped around Magnus, as the two continued to glare at Jace, questioningly. Alec rose an eyebrow. Izzy smiled. “Let’s go!” whined Jace, clearly defeated.
Alec rolled his eyes at the boy and let go of Magnus. Just before he followed Jace to the weapons room, Alec turned to face Magnus. He brought his hands to the side of the man’s face and pressed a short kiss on his lips. At least it was meant to be short. Magnus smiled and kissed him back with more desire than Alec could handle in that moment and Alec had to stifle a moan in a room full of bustling Shadowhunters.
Finally pulling apart, Alec licked his lips and walked up to Jace, who stood and scowled at the two. Alec gave him a lazy smile and roughly bumped his shoulder against Jace’s as he walked past, causing him to stumble. “You don’t get to call me Alexander,” he muttered, just loud enough for the group to hear.
Magnus chuckled at the boy while the others laughed on. Jace glared at them before following Alec to gear up.
i hope you enjoyed, let me know what you think! if you have any prompts or scenarios for me, please head over to my ask box.
