That's how adoption works, right?

Barbarian named Gurgeh happens upon the Halfing Bard (me, guest playing for the month) running towards danger.

Barbarian: Baby-man! What are you doing here? Where is your Dad?

Bard: I… I’m not a child.

Barbarian: -fails Int check to tell she’s an adult Halfling- No. No. Where your Dad?

Bard: (irritated and in a hurry) He’s not here!

Barbarian: Oh. Okay. Gurgeh your Dad now!

The Bush Checks Out

Background: My group is playing our first ever campaign in a homebrew D&D world, and this was only our second session. We were travelling to the next town over and made camp. In the night, two of our party mysteriously disappeared, their tracks leading only to a bush a ways down the road. The three remaining were myself, a chaotic good warlock gnome, a lawful evil tiefling rogue, and a chaotic evil (and rather unintelligent) barbarian half orc.

Barbarian: “I jump into the bush”

DM: “Roll for damage”

Barbarian: 4

DM: “You now have 11 HP left”

Rogue: “Alright, we need a plan of action, what should we do now?“

Warlock: "I say we stick together and search for more signs of them on the perimeter of the camp."

Barbarian: "At least the bush checks out!”

Everyone spends time packing up, investigating, discovering nothing of note.

Barbarian: “I kind of want to jump into the bush again."

…Is a Friend Indeed

It seems that Ganondorf may have a soft spot after all (however small it may be). Will he now be more open to kindness? Or will he continue being a “Grumpy Gus”? Time will tell.

The question submission for the Q&A has come to an end. Hopefully you were able to get your questions in. The sort-of podcast in which Yayster and I answer the questions will be up soon. Expect it next Monday, August 1.
