Near the outskirts of the Small Magellanic Cloud, lies 5 million year old star cluster, NGC 602. Surrounded by gas and dust, NGC 602 is featured in this stunning optical Hubble image of the region, is a combination of images in the X-ray by Chandra, and in the infrared by Spitzer. Fantastic ridges and swept back shapes strongly suggest that energetic radiation and shock waves from NGC 602’s massive young stars have eroded the dusty material and triggered a progression of star formation moving away from the cluster’s center. The background galaxies are hundreds of millions of light-years or more beyond NGC 602.
three separate off duty commercial aviators photographed cumulonimbus clouds illuminated by flashes of lightning from their planes.
otherwise known as thunderclouds, cumulonimbus are the only cloud type that can produce hail, thunder and lighting. the base of the cloud is often flat with a very dark wall like feature hanging underneath, and may only lie a few hundred feet above the earth’s surface.
cumulonimbus clouds are created through convection, often growing from small cumulus clouds over a hot surface.they get increasingly big until they represent huge powerhouses, storing the same amount of energy as ten hiroshima sized atom bombs.
although the storm looks formidable, today’s airliners have advanced equipment to circle around storms this big without entering any dangerous zones.
Why would the sky glow red? An aurora! A solar storm in 2012, mostly coming from an active sunspot, showered particles on the Earth that excited oxygen atoms high in the Earth’s atmosphere. As the excited element’s electrons fell back to their ground state, they emitted a red glow.
The sky that night, however, also glowed with more familiar but more distant objects, including the central disk of our Milky Way Galaxy on the left, and the neighboring Large and Small Magellanic Cloud galaxies on the right.

Context: I’m running a 5e game where the players recently reached level 4. I have a rogue-acting-as-ranger who has taken the assassin archetype. They failed their survival rolls and stumbled upon a small group of three goblins. The rogue was scouting ahead and saw them first.
Rogue: I’m stealthed still, right?
DM: Yep. They haven’t noticed you yet.
Rogue: I want to shoot them with my bow.
DM: Okay. They’re ¼ CR so if you miss I’m going to laugh.
*Rogue rolls several perfect rolls and deals over 30 damage to a goblin with less than 10 HP*
DM: Little did you know that the goblin was tinkering with an explosive and as you fire your arrow through his head, he sets it off, and the other two goblins go flying apart in all directions. The rest of the party simply sees this small mushroom cloud of fire a couple hundred feet ahead.
Saying it now so as not to disappoint anyone, I only play as females in games, and so only do the romances to that gender. M/F and F/F. I’m not against M/M in anyway what-so-ever, but I just like writing about the romance characters I connect with more or have a personal attraction to myself. So without further interruption, here’s my first piece of writing on the ME A Romance characters for female Ryder (I refer to her as Sara btw)
They were moving the old dusty couch around Liam’s hide away near the Nomad station. All had been going well, but after Sara flopped down on the ancient sofa, a small dust cloud wafted up into her face, causing her to sneeze uncontrollably.
Liam watched as she squeaked out tiny, cute little sneezes, face contorting into an adorable mess, arms flailing around trying to dispel the dust around her.
“That was bloody cute.” Liam laughed, causing Sara to glare through her coughing and sneezing.
Liam wrapped and arm around her waist, still chuckling, resting his head atop hers.
Sara and Vetra were doing some work on the Nomad, clearing off some of the dust left on the axles from Eos, with the radiation gone and nothing to worry about, they simply got buckets of water and some cloths to sweep it away.
After dislodging a stubborn clump that broke apart and flew up into the air, Sara went into a fit of squeaks. Vetra watched in mild confusion and amusement as her little human was reduced to a helpless state. Once the sneezing had stopped Vetra threw her arms around the squishy human and lightly nuzzled her cheeks with her mandible.
“I don’t know what that was but that was ADORABLE.”
Sara was examining some sediment samples with Suvi when some dust samples got out of the pietry dish and made their way up Ryder’s nose. The adorable sneezes that ensued cause Suvi to giggle.
Once the sneezing had stopped Suvi smiled at Sara, caressing her face and without thinking she let slip a dreamlike “I love you.”, Sara quickly went into awkward mode, scrambling for words, causing Suvi to smile at Sara’s crimson cheeks.
They were sitting together in silence, Jaal liked to talk but Sara seemed content reading her fathers paper bound books, leaning her head against his arm, humming softly. Jaal would often close his eyes and just enjoy being near her. His eyes snapped open when Sara was suddenly almost doubled over, seemingly convulsing.
Looking at her face it was contorted in an what he could only describe as an uncomfortable expression, nose crinkled. before he could ask if she was alright, Sara let out, in Jaal’s opinion, to most adorable, unbelievable foreign and cute sound he had ever heard in his life. She continued to squeak until it subsided.
“Sorry some of there books are old and dusty. Severe allergies so I sometimes sneeze like craz-” Before she could finish Jaal’s mouth was on hers, his tongue diving into her already open mouth while his arms captured her in a steel embrace. Once he pulled away, she was breathless, panting slightly.
“I apologize, the noises were… pleasing to hear.” Jaal breathed.
Sara could only gape at him.
“What in the-! Me sneezing turns you on?”
Jaal held her tighter, and began nuzzling into her neck kissing the soft flesh there.
Southern Craters and Galaxies : The Henbury craters in the Northern Territory, Australia, planet Earth, are the scars of an impact over 4,000 years old. When an ancient meteorite fragmented into dozens of pieces, the largest made the 180 meter diameter crater whose weathered walls and floor are lit in the foreground of this southern hemisphere nightscape. The vertical panoramic view follows our magnificent Milky Way galaxy stretching above horizon, its rich central starfields cut by obscuring dust clouds. A glance along the galactic plane also reveals Alpha and Beta Centauri and the stars of the Southern Cross. Captured in the regions spectacular, dark skies, the Small Magellanic Cloud, satellite of the Milky Way, is the bright galaxy to the left. Not the lights of a nearby town, the visible glow on the horizon below it is the Large Magellanic Cloud rising. via NASA

“Call me if you need anything. Dean broke his phone.”
The hunch of worry Sam’s text message gave you drifted away quickly. Dean damaging his phone wasn’t something new. The man changed cell phone continually, and usually after hunts. Dean always ended up dropping over his device. It wouldn’t surprise you if he started to carry spares again.
For this hunt you decided to stay back and for once act like a full housewife. The laundry, cleaning or grocery shopping wasn’t going to do itself. You also have been planning yours and Dean’s Valentine’s evening. Tonight was going to be eventful. You were a big fan of multitasking. Everything was running perfectly, you had laundry and cleaning checked off your ‘To Do List’ when Sam called saying Dean had amnesia.
In less than twenty minutes you were packed up and already on your way to them.
Knock knock knock.
You could heard steps reaching the door and Sam babbling some words. A part of you already knew it was your husband walking towards the door. In that moment the door got wide open, Dean standing in front of you. But the man standing in front of you didn’t looked back at you like your husband Dean would’ve have. This man glanced at your body up and down, his eyes not recognizing you but liking what they see.
“Wow!” Dean exclaimed, his grin flirtatious. “Well don’t you look hot as hell.”
That was something your husband would tell you but not with those eyes. Dean looked at you like he saw a hot stranger. In other circumstances you would gave him a chuckle and blow him a kiss. Tonight your heart felt like it was being slowly crushed.
Your frowned, “Dean?”
He nodded once with wide eyebrows, “Do I know you?”’
I never like videos that boomerang but still had to share this one - stars rotating over a dead, undecomposed tree in Sossusvlei, Namibia - you can clearly make out the large and small Magellanic Clouds - two minor galaxies close to the Milky Way.
Here are gorgeous fulldome views above different telescopes of ESO’s La Silla Observatory
in northern Chile. The red and green hues are produced by airglow, waves of alternating air pressure which are caused by various processes in the upper atmosphere. The Large and Small Magellanic Clouds are also visible while Milky Way cuts across the sky.
