small candles

[LYRICS] 네시 (4 O'CLOCK) by RM & V

Korean

어느 날 달에게
길고긴 편지를 썼어
너보다 환하진 않지만
작은 촛불을 켰어

어스름한 공원에
노래하는 이름모를 새
Where are you
Oh you

왜 울고 있는지
여긴 나와 너 뿐인데
Me and you
Oh you

I call you moonchild
우린 달의 아이
새벽의 찬 숨을 쉬네
Yes we’re livin and dyin
at the same time
But 지금은 눈 떠도 돼
그 어느 영화처럼 그 대사처럼
달빛 속에선 온 세상이 푸르니까

어스름한 공원에
노래하는 이름모를 새
Where are you
Oh you

왜 울고 있는지
여긴 나와 너 뿐인데
Me and you
Oh you

깊은 밤을 따라서
너의 노랫소리가
한 걸음씩 두 걸음씩
붉은 아침을 데려와

새벽은 지나가고
저 달이 잠에 들면

깊은 밤을 따라서

English

I wrote a long letter
to the moon one day
It isn’t brighter than you but
I lit a small candle

The nameless bird that sings
in the park at dawn
Where are you
Oh you

Why are you crying
It’s only me and you here
Me and you
Oh you

Your singing voice,
That follows deep into the night,
brings the scarlet morning
One step, then another step

Dawn passes by and
When that moon falls asleep,
then the blue light that was with me
disappears

Today, too, I go on living just enough
Keeping in step, wearing my feet out just enough
The sun makes me breathless
The world has stripped me of all I have
Without a choice, with no other alternative,
Under the moonlight I am picking up my scattered self
I call you moonchild
We are the children of the moon
We draw breath from the cold air of dawn
Yes we’re livin and dyin
at the same time
But right now it’s alright to open your eyes
Because like any movie, like any dialogue (from a movie)
The whole world is blue under the moonlight

The nameless bird that sings
in the park at dawn
Where are you
Oh you

Why are you crying
It’s only you and me here
Me and you
Oh you

Your singing voice,
That follows deep into the night,
brings the scarlet morning
One step, then another step

Dawn passes by and
When that moon falls asleep,
then the blue light that was with me
disappears

Your singing voice,
That follows deep into the night,
brings the scarlet morning
One step, then another step

Dawn passes by and
When that moon falls asleep,
then the blue light that was with me
disappears

R&V 4 o’clock ANALYSIS:  Who is the song really about aside from Jimin?

Do you all remember the moon & sun tattoo made of henna that V had in Hawaii ??? (Cr to @wingstyles) This means Taehyung thought of the song since then if not before. We always tought, why the sun and the moon? This song hold the answers.

WHO IS THE MOON?

It is said Taehyung wanted to write a song while thinking of Jimin as an element in it:

If we consider Jimin being the moon. The lyrics of 4 o’clock “I wrote a long, long letter to the moon“. Maybe he meant by writing a letter about whenever he vented to Jimin about his pain. Also In namjoon’s rap “I collect myself that’s shattered beneath the moonlight“. Aren’t friends the ones who keep as whole when we are breaking? Or Taehyung was really in the park alone looking at the moon while thinking of someone, but who?

WHO IS THE SONG ABOUT?

“It would not be brighter than you, but I lighted a small candle at a dusky park … where are you” Why would taehyung light a candle in a park? The ritual of lighting a candle to pay tribute to a life ‘passed’ has long been a part of many cultures.  Keeping a light burning in remembrance signifies that the memory still lives on and burns bright.  It is a ritual that promotes reflection and signifies remembrance. So maybe the song is at the end about Taehyung’s grandmother who passed away. V said that Jimin stood by his side the most during those hard times. The soothing ballad and the tone and feelings expressed in the song come to support this theory.

WHO IS THE MOON CHILD?

In rapmon’s part he raps about a moon child “I call you moonchild. The definition of a moon child is someone born under the astrological sign of Cancer. However when Rapmon says “We are the children of the moon“, knowing that no BTS member is a Cancer, we are left with the other meaning:  A unique individual, often described as being slightly crazy and over emotional. “Moonchildren sometimes say strange things”. Speaking of which isn’t Taehyung always described as the weirdest and most unique one in BTS?! Namjoon write the lyrics as if he is consoling Tae about his lost one as the lyrics says “Yes we’re livin and dying at the same time” aking him to accept the fact that all humans leave earth someday. V was so sad when his grandmother passed away because she was the one who raised him. So RM continues “but you can open your eyes for now” Trying to help him to move on

THE NOCTURAL BIRD

The lyrics speak of a bird “A nameless bird that sings“. Normaly we are used to birds singing during the day but Robins are insectivorous birds that are well adapted to foraging in dim light , and even continue to feed under artificial light well into the night (like the one in a park at night). It is one of the earliest birds to start the dawn chorus and one of the last to stop singing at night. With this tendency to be active at low light, robins can be easily triggered into full song by a streetlight or any kind of floodlighting. Since robins keep territories all year round, they also sing all round the year. I also searched if the species is available in south korea and it is HERE. But how does Taehyung knows about the existance of such a bird. Did this situation really occur? he  will interpret the singing of the bird as if he was too searching for that person “A nameless bird that sings where are you

In memory of Taehyung’s grandmother. May she rests in peace.

One day, I wrote a long, long letter
To the moon
It’s not as bright as you are
But it lighted up a small candle light

The nameless bird
Singing in the dusky park
Where are you
Oh you

Why are you crying
It’s just me and you here
Me and you
Oh you

With the deep night
Your voice singing
And step by step
Bringing in the crimson morning

When the dawn passes
When the moon falls asleep
The blue light that was once with me
Will go away

Another day living my life moderately
Keeping my step, moving on moderately with no strength
The sun suffocates me
And the world strips me off all I have
I can’t do anything
But collecting the scattered bits of me under the moonlight
I call you moonchild
We are children of the moon
Inhaling the cold breath of the dawn
Yes we’re livin and dyin
At the same time
But you can open your eyes now
Because like the dialogue in a movie
In that moonlight the whole world is blue

The nameless bird
Singing in the dusky park
Where are you
Oh you

Why are you crying
It’s just me and you here
Me and you
Oh you

With the deep night
Your voice singing
And step by step
Bringing in the crimson morning

When the dawn passes
When the moon falls asleep
The blue light that was once with me
Will go away

Witch Tips for City Witches

City Witch Tips for all of my fellow witches stuck in apartments, dorms or other city areas.

  • If you can’t burn incense you can make your own sprayable incense by mixing alcohol (usually vodka or rubbing) with essential oils and a bit of oil, spray in the air to act like incense
  • If you are unable to go outside for whatever reason to get rain water (in my case just no where to collect it safely), fill a jar or glass with regular water and keep it near a cracked window to charge it with the wind, sound and scent of the rain outside. Same goes for storm water
  • Trapped in city and unable to get ocean water? Sea salt mixed with rain/storm water can be an excellent substitute
  • To continue on with water substitutes, if you can’t collect snow crushed ice from your fridge will suffice
  • Low key warding/protection you can use: spray moon water, salt water or sprayable incense about your apartment or dorm, place sigils under doormats, furniture, inside cupboards, etc; place crystals about hidden or out in the open, sweep and dust out the door or towards windows
  • If you need melted wax to seal a jar or for any other magical purpose, but can’t burn candles, by a wax melter and melt that wax and imagine the light from the burner acting like a flame (plus they are rather cheap, I got mine for 25 bucks)
  • Need stars in your craft but too much light pollution? Glow in the dark stars on your ceiling or wall can work just as well for visualization. Print out pictures of your favorite constellations or planets and place them up on your walls or on your altar. Live video feed of the night sky can also be easily found on the internet
  • Bath magic is amazing for low-key ‘in the woods’ witches. Use teas, milk, oils, herbs, bath bombs, bubble baths, salts, etc that relate to your intent. It is also a good place to meditate if you have roommates or family around that would disturb you otherwise
  • If you do for whatever reason need to burn a candle, birthday candles are small, melt fast, and don’t create a lot of smoke or smokey scent
  • Sigils are another great low-key form of magic. To boost them up, use color magic related to the color you draw them in, write them using quills made of feathers related to your intent, use colored paper, rub a drop of essential oil on them, charge them with crystals or in your windowsill
  • You don’t have to burn sigils to activate them, which is hardly an option when you are in a dorm or apartment. Other options are: Shredding them, erasing them, soaking them in a bath or shower, using body heat or your own pulse, etc
  • Miss having the outdoors and plants around? Windowsill gardens can really help. Small plants you can consider keeping in your windowsill or counter-tops: succulents, cacti, bamboo, lemongrass, basic, rosemary, mint, rosemary, mosses, aloe, snake plant, pothos (and other vines), carrots, beets, shallots, lettuce, spinach, garlic, chives, parsley, oregano, thyme, and marigold
  • Open your window to let the wind and air from outside to help energize you and clear out negative energies inside
  • Fun places to put sigils: under furniture, carved into soap, onto shampoo/conditioner bottles, on your make up, inside phone cases, in shoes, under bandages, sewn into pillow cases and blankets, behind pictures in frames, underside of nail polish, carved into wax squares for your wax melter, keys and keychains, behind mirrors or in medicine cabinets, on bookmarks, on or in binders and pencil cases, on medicine bottles, and water bottles/travel mugs
  • Easy to make and dispose of poppets: carrot sticks (one of my personal favorites), apples or other fruit, clothe, paper, popsicle sticks, paper towels/napkins, toilet paper rolls, eggs, celery stocks, and cotton balls
  • The internet is an amazing thing. Need some sounds to help you focus or meditate? Easily look up the sounds of rain, storms, wind, ocean waves, jungles, forests, etc
  • Christmas lights are fun and great way to use discrete witchcraft. Select ones in the colors you wish for them to bring ie green for growth, yellow for inspiration, white for protection, purple for psychic abilities, etc.
  • Some everyday things you can use for discrete witchcraft that don’t cost much at all or that you most likely already have: water, table salt, black pepper, paper, crayons/pencils/pens/markers, vinegar, milk, tea, highlighters, make up and beauty supplies, shampoo and conditioner, rubber bands, paperclips, thumbtacks, computer/phone/tablet, music/music player, playing cards, dice, air freshener, perfumes, toothpaste, rice, flour, sugar, honey, and all kitchen herbs and seasonings.
  • Can’t afford gemstones or crystals on college budget? Crackle and dyed quartz you can find super cheap at craftstores and online. I bought a whole bag for 4 bucks. Use them based on their colors and shapes. Can’t afford that but still want to use rocks in your craft? Find some rocks you like outside, again use their colors and shapes to determine their correspondences. Want to use them for a specific purpose? Paint sigils on them in the color that corresponds with what you want! Charge them in your windowsill or with your own energy and intent. There you go!
  • Pocket mirrors are cheap, easy to carry around and great for glamours and on the go magic.
  • Seriously though, glamour spells are going to be a good option for you. use your make up, skin products, hair care products, brushes/combs, perfume, mirrors, toothbrush/toothepaste and intent. Good to do while you are getting ready for your day
  • Dream magic is another friend of the city witch! Use crystals, sigils, herbs, etc near your bed before you go to sleep, drink some chamomile, get yourself a dream journal (mine is literally a notebook with construction paper on it), keep it and a pen near you. In the morning write down your dreams, your thoughts, how you feel (tired, refreshed, groggy, etc), and interpret them.
  • Can’t afford tarot cards? Print out some, you can usually find them online and they won’t last as long as a real deck but it is a good temporary solution. Want a Ouija board but can’t keep one or need it to be easily hidden? Print one out, draw on one on paper or cardboard, fold it up and store it once you are done. Want a pendulum but can’t afford one? Use your favorite necklace, bracelet or keychain!
  • Tea and coffee magic is great, make your own tea blends with the herbs you like. Or just buy simple green or black tea and add sugar, milk, etc depending on your intentions
  • As I said before, crock pot magic. The Modern Cauldron: brew and cook all day with it, fill your apartment with the scent of the herbs and food to fill it with the energies they correspond with and you get a delicious meal to come home to! Most dorms allow them. Rice cookers also work well.
  • Can’t afford fresh food? Have to survive on ramen, canned soup, and microwaved meals? That is okay! They even correspond with things! Tomato soup for love, beauty and passion. Beef ramen noodles for strength, courage and longevity. Microwave mac n cheese for beauty and feminity. Look at their ingredients and what they correspond with. Sure its not as glamorous as a making a huge made by scratch traditional meal but its kitchen magic none the less. Stir it with your intent while you cook. It isn’t fancy but it works just as well!
  • Use a notebook or binder for a nice grimoire, decorate it as much as you want on the inside. Print out pictures of nature, animals, planets, stars, places, crystals, etc that you cant’ access/afford and use them in your craft. Spell books and grimoires are powerful tools
  • Don’t have a wand? Use a wooden spoon. Tie a colored string or ribbon to it to correspond with what energy you want it to have and move and flick it as you would a wand.
  • Knitting, crocheting, and knot magic is very apartment friendly. As well as sewing and embroidering plus it is super calming.
  • Glitter, sequins, and beads are great in witchcraft! Use their colors to determine their correspondences. Put them in spell jars, sachets, bottles, etc. Glitter tip: if you spill any don’t fret, get some packing tape, wrap it around your hand with the sticky part outwards and dab at that glitter spill. You will literally pick up all of the glitter in seconds!
  • Enchant and charge your pots, pans, skillets, and other cookware to make every meal magical
  • Make moonwater in your windowsills. Use it for cleansing, beauty, divination, clarity, protection and purification
  • Take walks. Even if it is a city there is still nature about. Pigeons flying about, potted flowers outside of stores, grass growing in front lawns, etc. Enjoy yourself, even if it is not some wild, vast forest you can still connect with your local nature.
  • Pick up litter or garbage you see outside, being in the city we all see it. The natural world around you will appreciate you helping out. Bring a bag with you when you take your walks or travel and fill it with wrappers you see on the ground.

I hope this was helpful to all of my fellow city and dorm witches!

Hello sweeties! Exams are over which means organizing and tidying up my bedroom, some of you asked me how to make it a cute space that you enjoy being so here are some ideas ♥

Your budget:
So before you get started, think about how much money you want to spend or how much time you have. If you can’t afford to have your ‘dream room’ yet, you can do it little by little or save enough until you can give your bedroom a complete makeover!

Think of your vibe/theme:
Do you want it to be dark? cute? boho? maybe around a certain movie or characters? What’s important is that you choose something you know you’ll enjoy and it’ll make you happy, no one else matters!

Your bed:
So for me this is one of the most important things to consider. Your bedspread is often the biggest part of your decor so find one you like and will not grow out of for a while. You could also buy new pillows or even make some for yourself if you’re crafty!

Painting your walls:
I know it’s not always possible, BUT if you can and your parents will allow it, it makes such a difference! Light colors can make the space look bigger and certain colors give off different moods so think carefully before choosing one.

Your desk:
If you have a study/DIY/art area, make it the favorite part of your room! it should be a space to keep you inspired, not bored or anxious. I know you’ve seen all the cute desk areas that you wish were in your room but you’re too lazy to get started… :)

Accesories:
This means fairy lights, pictures on your walls, small plants, candles, rugs or whatever floats your boat.

*I wrote each one of these personally, so please don’t repost. I hope this helps you! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate on messaging me ^_^ © freepic icon

5. Seal the jar using the glue or melted wax and wait for it to dry.

6. Say “The spell is complete.” then wash your hands.

7. (Optional) Leave an offering for the earth or whatever deity you thanked for your ingredients.

8. It’s done! Carry it around with you when you’d like some good luck or good fortune. 🍀

I am so here for witchcraft small businesses. Handmade items infused with magic. Crystals. Unique candles. Spell kits. Grimoires. We need to all support each other in this community when we can. If you have a picture of some witchy products you’re selling that needs a signal boost, give me a shout. I will happily spread the witchy goodness on my blog for my followers. :)

I have 8 minutes left before midnight, when Holocaust Remembrance Day will end, so let me tell you the 8 things that I remember most vividly from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

1. The entire museum is suffocating. It’s quiet and somber and can sometimes feel like you’re mourning the loss of all of humanity at once. It feels like a crypt, an urn, where 6 million people are interred.

2. The Holocaust didn’t start with Hitler screaming rabidly about filthy Jews. It started when Hitler slipped dangerous rhetoric into his speeches, blaming crime and unemployment on them.

3. There’s a three-story tall room where every inch of the walls are covered with pictures. Little kids smiling cheesily and older couples sitting next to each other, families. The only thing they have in common? Their lives were exterminated during the Holocaust.

4. A man nicknamed the Angel of Death did medical experiments on children. CHILDREN. He gouged out their leg muscles and introduced life threatening infections just to see how their bodies would react.

5. There’s a boxcar that you’re made to go into on the tour. It’s a real part of a train that transported thousands to death camps. It’s cold and it’s cramped, and the tiny windows don’t give nearly enough light to let you feel relief from the nauseating claustrophobia that creeps on you.

6. There was a children’s transport camp called Terezin, where an art teacher helped the kids express their frustration and terror through their art. They have it hanging on the walls there. It’s normal kid stuff. Butterflies and houses, people performing on stages. Underneath, the name of the child is written, and their date of death. 90℅ of them didn’t make it past 1945.

7. The worst room, by far, are the shoes. It’s a simple exhibit. Both sides of the room have containers simply filled with shoes, old and rotten. It’s not objectively sinister. Until you read the caption and realize that every last shoe came from someone gassed to death. That’s when you start noticing the petite flats and the heavy work shoes, the tiny toddler Mary Janes, faded red. You notice that each shoe had a pair of feet attached, and each pair of feet had a body attached, and each body had a life, a story, a personality, a soul, attached. And you read the poem above, which bitterly notes that the only reason that these shoes weren’t burned with their owner was because they were made of leather and not flesh and blood.

8. You end in a memorial Hall. It’s made of bright marble, and each wall bears the name of a concentration camp. There, you can light a candle. It’s small, it’s insignificant, it does nothing to stop the atrocities committed, but helps. You look above it, and you read: “For the dead and the living, we must bear witness.”

Full Moon:

Stand outside under the moon or look it out a window– Close your eyes and feel bathed in its light. Feel the power of the moon pulling at your soul. You can chant if you want. Gather up that light and power and pull it into your core to help recharge you for the coming month.

Dance in the moonlight– Take five minutes and give yourself up to joy. Celebrate the Goddess and the deity inside of you. Dance without thinking about what people would think, just be in the moment.

Waning Moon:

Decreasing visualization–Light a small candle (a birthday candle can work). Write the thing you want to decrease on a paper and put it under the candle. As the candle grows smaller, visualize your issue getting smaller too.

Drink it down– Pour some water into a clear glass, hold it in your hands and say “ This is ___ Wich I wish to decrease in my life” Drink the water sip by sip, repeating the progress until you finish the water and then say “So mote it be”.

Ribbon Ritual– Write the thing you wish to reduce or get rid of in a piece of ribbon, then snip off a small piece every night, timing it so that the last piece is gone by the next full moon.

Waxing Moon:

Stone Ritual– Gather a small bunch of stones, (preferably flat ones as they pile together easily). Each night of the waxing moon, add a stone to your pile and think of what you want to increase in your life.

Salt Ritual– Put some salt (preferably consecrated) into a container with a spout. Pour the salt into a small bowl, watching each tiny piece adding to the whole. Visualize whatever you want to increase growing slowly but surely, bit by bit through your efforts.

Growth Spell– Plant a fast-growing seed at the beginning of the waxing time. These can be cat grass, radishes,  carrots, peas, beans, zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, sunflowers etc. Place a piece of paper under or in the dirt you are using with the specifics of what you want to grow. Every day put your energy into the seed, sending it energy for growth into your wish as well.

PROTECTION SPELL JAR

Ingredients:

(1) small jar

(some) blessed thistle - not a lot, but like a good pinch

(some) burdock - again, not a ton

(1) piece of obsidian

(1) piece of apache tears

(1) piece of Botswana agate

(1) piece of smoky quartz

(1) piece of jet

(1) small black candle

Steps:

1. Cast circle or clear energy or whatever you do before you ritual.

2. Cleanse ingredients - moon water, salt, energy, whatever.

3. Combine ingredients in jar.

4. Charge jar by sleeping with or putting it under the light of the moon or burying it or sticking it into running water (cap it tightly, first tho).

5. During full moon/new moon (whichever feels right for you), do your ritual thing, set candle upright in jar, and burn it. Let the wax seep into the herbs (WARNING: the herbs burn very easily and will make loud, scary popping noises. Avoid lighting the herbs on fire).

6. When candle is burned, cap your jar and stick it under your bed or in your closet.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You made a Protection Spell Jar! Your Jar’s ingredients have been specifically chosen for their protective, grounding, and negativity-clearing attributes. YOU making the jar has coded that protection to your energy! Keeping your Jar under your bed or in your closet (two of the most personal spaces we occupy on a daily basis) will allow it to suck up any negative energy that has been directed at you and provide you with protection.

Please note: Jar will absorb negative energy. Buy supplies in bulk if possible and make a new jar every 6 mos - 1 year.

Do away with your old, negativity filled jar by:

-thanking it for its help
-releasing the negative energy back to the universe to be recycled
-burying the herbs
-and finally giving the jar and stones a good cleansing!

(Please practice responsible witchcraft: this spell DOES involve use of fire. Always have a fire extinguisher at the ready and do NOT leave flames unattended. Thank you for your time.)

네시 (4 o’clock lyrics)

one day I wrote a long letter
to the moon
I lit a small candle
but it wasn’t brighter than you

in a dusky park
a nameless bird singing
where are you
oh you
why are you crying
here it’s just me and you
me and you
oh you

following deep into the night
the sound of your song
step by step
brings the red morning

the dawn passes
and when the moon falls asleep
the blu light that was together with me
disappears

even today I live moderately
walking in pace, I wear down moderatrely
the sun is suffocating me
and the world strips me naked
I can’t help it, I have no choice
I pick myself up that’s shatterd beneath the moonlight
I call you moonchild
we are children of the moon
I breath the cold air of dawn
yes we’re living and dyin
at the same time
but you can open your eyes now
just like that movie, like that line
because the entire world is blue inside the moonlight

in a dusky park
a nameless bird singing
where are you
oh you
why are you crying
here it’s just me and you
me and you
oh you

following deep into the night
the sound of your song
step by step

Okay okay but like imagine inej comes back after being gone for a while catching slavers and stuff and then kaz is at the docks waiting for her and he's like I need ur help for a heist and she's kinda disappointed cuz she thought he'd be more kaz than dirty hands towards her when she got back but she's like sure I'll help but really it's all made up and he comes up with this elaborate plan for a heist but it really leads to a spot that has like a date set up or something like that

This is so adorable and all I need in my life. Kaz with a secret romantic side, I’d die. But look since Kaz is an awkward seventeen year old after all—whose most complex con is his own veneer of detachment—I imagine it differently.

I mean this is the same kid who waited to talk to her because he didn’t know what to say. And then when he finally did he started going over plans they’d already established. The same boy who found her parents but didn’t know how to take her reaction so he started on about if things didn’t go as planned they’d be picking up her corpse instead.

This boy has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to Inej. So imagine he tells her about a heist but it’s real. Except it’s not complicated and he could’ve done it alone. They’re only breaking into some rich guy’s place. Knowing the homeowner is out of town and there are only two men guarding the front entrance, Kaz anticipates the empty mansion.

He set this entire thing up because he doesn’t know how to ask her out on a real date.

While they’re there he starts to uncharacteristically linger. He appraises each piece of art in the extensive collection even though he’s not interested in stealing either of them. He just wants to hear her opinions. And when they get upstairs to rummage through the wife’s jewelry his quick lock pick fingers clasp a bracelet on her wrist while she’s not looking. When she feels the cold links draping her wrist, he walks away as if nothing happened. (Inej decides not to keep it, but doesn’t mean she isn’t flattered)

When she catches up with him she’s still blushing bright red and he’s raiding through their food. This is the most time they’ve ever spent in someone else’s place and it becomes clear to her then he’s after alone time with her, not anything in the house.

They end up sitting across from each other on the marble floor in the kitchen. With only the glow from a small candle, they pass a plate of fancy desserts, catching up on things they’ve missed.

It’s not long before the wife and kids come home and they have to leave. They climb out of a window, stumbling over the box of hibiscus that hung from the ledge. Laughing, they sprint down the street as they dust dirt from their clothes. They run all the way to Wylan’s because that’s where she plans on staying. When they say goodbye and she shifts through her pocket for her spare key, she pulls out a handful of the flowers and gasps. When did he even pick them up? How did he slip them in her pocket?

She watches him walk away, shaking her head. He turns and smirks before disappearing into the billows of smoke. She buries her nose in the flowers to breathe them in, smiling as she pushes into the house.

The Witches of Elsewhere University

The witches in Elsewhere University(no matter if they’re wiccan, pagan, christian, etc.) are the main go to people for help with the Fae.

Forgot to leave an offering of cream and now you’re afraid to enter your room because your roommate is growling at you whenever you open the door? Ask a witch to make a potion (with cream or something in it of course),repay them with ingredients, set the potion outside your door overnight, and stay at a (human) friends room. Return when the overwhelming feeling of fear whenever you consider opening the door fades.

The only payment these witches ask for are for ingredients. Herbs, crystals, roses, incense, lemons, pocket knives, lighters, and candles and pretty sure fire. They may not ask for payment, but always offer. If you don’t, well, the witches and the crows get along fabulously… It’s best to offer payment. Don’t bother with cash, they’d rather at least have you get the ingredients for the spells.

It’s not uncommon to find them digging through spice aisles, searching for sage, basil, and other things. Whenever it rains bowls can be found outside, gathering storm water. The full moon glimmers down onto bottles full of water and crystals that need recharged. They often room with the fae, they might be the only people who truly want to.

They walk freely through the campus, many have the sight or have found a way to enchant glasses to see the Fae. Witches are in all of the majors, and the chemistry major witches are feared by students and Gentry alike.

If a person who smells of candles and sage tells you not to go with that wolfish boy or feline girl, listen. If they say not to go to the dorm until 12:13 at night and to make it to your room by 12:15 and lock your door, do it. Leave a small candle outside their door as a thanks if you feel the need to.

Some witches worship the fae, they are the ones who get the most favours. They are also the ones most likely to get you in trouble or disappear (willingly of course.).

Sigil witches are the most respected in terms of mental strength, with nothing other than a sigil scrawled on some paper, or penned onto their skin, they face the Fair Folk . Sigils can fade or be washed away, others don’t have the intended effect and fail at what they were intended to do. They always make sure to have at least an iron necklace just in case the sigils fail.

There’s a story about a witch kidnapping one of the Fair Folk when their friend went missing. Nobody talks about it, but the witch won (hint: they were a chemistry major)

Unlike the Fair Folk, they can lie. Unlike the Fair Folk, they’re generally on your side.

Alright, lovelies, this giveaway contains things useful for the green witch just beginning her journey, or the well-seasoned witch simply looking for some fun trinkets from the PNW! Everything shown in picture #2 has been collected from my own property up here in chilly Western Washington. Anyway, the contents of the giveaway are broken down below by picture. The winner gets everything here (plus any little surprises I feel like including)!

Picture #1:

  • 1 Greenhouse seed starter tray.
  • 5 Seed packets (lavender, eggplant, chamomile, mixed garden bean, a really cool geometric broccoli)
  • 3 Self contained seed starter kits (tomato, strawberry, watermelon).

Picture #2:

  • 1 vile of apple blossoms from last years apple crop.
  • A bundle of baby pine cones from an Alder tree!
  • A bundle of dried sage & rosemary.
  • Pale green moss.
  • 1 Cockatiel feather.
  • A mix of dried herbs from my garden (English thyme, sweet marjoram, pineapple mint).
  • A dried, pressed periwinkle flower.

Picture #5 & 6:
