So I watched the performance version of MTTM and I saw this part
and I just started laughing because I noticed how sexy Taemin is doing this move but then there’s Minho who looks like he’s going to duel someone on a chicken fight, Jinki looking like he’s about to break his neck, Key is smacking some butt and Jonghyun and his tiny palm tree are just enjoying themselves. I love this.
It’s a light pattering on the window panes, the rain. It’s steady. It meant it was going to be a dreary day in Seoul. Rain always slowed everything down.
Jonghyun stirs next to Kibum, immediately curling in closer and running his hand over Kibum’s chest.
“Morning, baby,” Kibum murmurs, tilting his head to touch his lips to Jonghyun’s ruffled bangs.
“Mornin’. You’re up before the alarm.”
“The rain woke me up.”
“And your mind kept you up?” Jonghyun concludes.
Kibum offers a soft smile. “It’s scary how well you know me.”
“Learning idiosyncrasies is a past time of mine, I suppose,” Jonghyun smacks his lips. “What’s on your mind, hmm?”
Kibum directs his attention to a frayed string on the shoulder of Jonghyun’s t-shirt, rolling it between his fingers. “I guess I’m just feeling reflective,” he says finally. “I blame the rain,” he sighs, snapping the thread away. “I feel like we’re at an awkward stage in our relationship right now.”
“What do you mean?”
“Just that– we’ve been dating for almost two years. That’s too long to be the cute new couple, but it’s not long enough to be taken seriously if we start… getting serious.”
“Living together is pretty serious,” Jonghyun interjects, pulling away to get changed for the day.
“Not like that. I’ve lived with people before. I mean, like… marriage and kids. I feel like we’re still not ready for that.”
“We might not be, but that doesn’t mean it’s because we haven’t met some sort of time requirement. Quality, not quantity, yeah?”
“Isn’t that for friendships?”
Jonghyun shrugs. “It works for this too,” Jonghyun gives a little hop to get his jeans up his thighs. “Anyway, my parents got married after dating for nine months. My sister was born before their first wedding anniversary. They’re still going strong. Sometimes you just… know when you’re ready,”
Kibum frowns as he sits up, getting distracted by the rain for a few moments. “But we’re not ready yet.”
“Nothing wrong with that. Don’t be in a rush. You’re nineteen, practically a baby!”
Kibum rolls his eyes. “So being twenty-two makes you an old man now if you’re speaking like that. Gross. I should move on.”
Jonghyun chuckles, leaning in to kiss Kibum’s pouting lips. “You want kids, don’t you?”
Kibum’s eyes soften visibly at the question. “I can’t wait.”
“It’ll happen before you know it. We’ll be a family soon,” Jonghyun tweaks Kibum’s nose as he pulls away. “You and me. We might not have done anything official yet, but I’m pretty sure I don’t want to be with anything else. So smile. We have so much to look forward to.”
Kibum smiles beside himself. “That’s what I was hoping you’d say.”
“Did you think I’d say anything different?”
“No, but…” Kibum bites into his lip, grabbing his current novel from the bedside table and handing a slip of paper from it to Jonghyun.
“Look at it.”
Jonghyun unfolds the paper slowly, wind getting knocked out of him when he sees the ultrasound photo. He stares for a few seconds, raising his eyes to an excited looking Kibum.
Jonghyun tackles Kibum, feathering kisses all along his cheeks and neck and collabones and everywhere else he can touch.
The pattering rain is finally drowned out by the sound of kisses.
So for Father’s day here’s some Single Daddy Jinki, and I decided on giving them another child, and here’s little baby Taeyeon.
Uh you can read more of this auhereand here, the other two parts I must rewrite, or revise to add Taeyeon in :D. It’s about Jinki stopping at a gas station on the way home from his parent’s house and yeah. I hope you enjoy it
Jonghyun made little noises as his door was opened. He turned
his head to the right and with a sleepy smile he mumbled, “Daddy!”
“Daddy has to go into here for a second Baby,” Jinki softly
explained as he moved to get him from the booster seat, “Can you walk in with
“Taetae needs to be carried.” The little boy mumbled,
slowly going through the motions of trying to get up, only to fall back into
the seat. Jinki’s eyes crinkled as he laughed.
