slughorn christmas party

jealousy

requested by anon: could you do a jealous marauders preference?

james:

James had always been a prideful teenager. He was one to boast and felt no guilt showing off all of his good qualities. Teachers knew it, you knew it, he knew it. Of course, anyone who posed as a threat to his ego would immediately be put under his watch. Due to this, it was no surprise he was the jealous type. So when he was told by his friends that the guy standing with you several yards away was in the middle of asking you to Slughorn’s Christmas Party, he didn’t exactly react well.

“Who was that back there in the hallway?” he pulled you from your group of friends hanging around the couches in the common room to a more private corner.

A faint smirk tugged at your peachy lips at his spiteful tone, though you were careful not to let it show, “Whatever are you talking about, Dear Jamesy?” You bat your eyelashes at your boyfriend.

His jaw locked as his eyes narrowed ever so slightly at your cocky stance, “You know exactly who I’m talking about, Y/N. The one Sirius said was asking you to the dance– the one you clearly rejected,” he paused, studying your face, “You did say no, right?”

Rather than answering his question, you shrugged whilst tapping your finger to your chin in a mock look of contemplation, “Well I mean, it would make sense for me to say yes. Considering I haven’t been asked yet, and all.”

You could practically see the annoyance radiating off of him which only increased your amusement, much to his dismay, “You think you’re so funny,” he quipped. “What makes him think he can ask you? Everyone knows we’re a thing,” he grumbles with a pout evident on his lips.

Your eyebrow raised again, though this time you don’t bother hiding the amusement on your face, “James Fleamont Potter, are you jealous?”

“Should I be?”

A smirk made its way onto your face at his response, “I suppose not. But you know if I run I could probably catch him before he gets to the Ravenclaw Common Room and tell him I’ll reconsider the-”

Your teasing was interrupted by his chapped lips colliding with your own soft ones. The initial shock quickly wore off as you melted into his kiss, your cocky demeanor retreating almost instantly. Before you even got the chance to pull away, your moment was interrupted by an outside voice.

“Oi Prongs, Y/N! This is a family room so it’d be much appreciated if you could keep the PDA to a minimum!”

Sirius’s barking voice sounded throughout the room, causing multiple heads to turn to the source of noise. Laughter chorused throughout the room as you and James simply locked eyes. He pecked your lips quickly before whispering, “We’ll continue this later.”

“Y/N, truth or dare?”

It was nearly midnight and you should’ve been finishing up your essay for Slughorn due tomorrow, but here you were sitting in the Room of Requirement engaged in a childish game of Truth or Dare with several stolen bottles of fire whiskey and a dozen Gryffindors.

Your eyes rolled as you turned to face James who had called out your name, but you couldn’t help but giggle at the sight of him. A couple of turns back James had ended up trading clothes with a very reluctant Lily leaving him in silk pajamas which showed off far more than you’d like to see. It seemed he was too drunk to care, however, as the goofy grin never faltered.

“Dare.”

A few of the drunker Gryffindors in the room hooted at your answer, provoking another roll of your eyes. You had heard the truths asked so far and would frankly rather streak down the hall in search of Filch’s cat than answer some of them.

James’s lips twitch into a smirk as he stares you down. You can’t help but feel uneasy under his gaze as you are sure it means nothing but trouble, “I dare you to kiss the most attractive person in the room.”

Rather than rolling your eyes for the millionth time that night, you decide to have fun with the dare. Everyone watches in anticipation as your eyes land on your officially unofficial non-boyfriend male friend, Sirius, who stares at you with a cheeky grin.

It was well known among your smaller group of friends that you and Sirius and gotten together a few times. After a couple of dates here and there, the two of you had decided not to get into a relationship as the both of you had quite horrible commitment issues. Yet, no matter how much you denied it when brought up in conversation, you remained loyal to each other.

Devising a plan in your head, you crawled forward a foot so your face was hovering mere inches away from his. Just as he began to lean towards you in anticipation of your touch, you darted to his right and planted a sloppy kiss on Remus.

Laughter erupts throughout the room at your actions, Remus chuckling softly as well as he rubs off the lipstick smudged on his face. You grin with a cocked eyebrow at Sirius’s narrowed eyes.

“Lighten up, Padfoot. It’s not like she’s your girlfriend or anything,” James teases his best friend with a knowing smile, hence deepening his frown further. The night continued for a little while longer before people started clearing out leaving you, Marlene, Lily, and the Marauders.

Lily stood from the dusty ground, stretching out her sore legs, “I think I’m going to head back. I at least want to get some sleep before class tomorrow,” she proclaims as Marlene follows suit.

“Me too. I’ll escort you,” James scrambles onto his feet, eliciting an eye roll from Lily.

Peter, not getting the hint that James wants to talk to Lily, stands after him to follow. You watch as the group of four walks out, leaving you, Remus, and Sirius. Remus’s eyes dart between back and forth the two of you, tension thick in the air. “Well,” he sighs, “I’d better get going too. Goodnight guys,” he waves whilst stepping out of the room.

You make eye contact with Sirius as he leaves, neither of you saying a word until the sound of the door shutting rings through the almost empty room, “What the fuck was that, Y/N?”

Your eyes roll yet again, though you can’t help but feel a twinge of guilt, “It was a joke. It wasn’t anything legitimate.”

“Oh, so now it’s funny to go around kissing other guys? Sorry, didn’t get that part,” he snaps moodily.

“Oh come on, Sirius. Do you really think I’d actually kiss Moony of all people? You know I wouldn’t do that to you,” a frown etches its way onto your face.

The hardened look on his face quickly softens as he sighs, “You’re right. I’m sorry, Y/N. I guess I just got riled up a bit,” he takes his pinkish lip between his teeth, “Besides, it’s not like you’re not allowed to do that if you wanted to. It’s not like we’re official or anything,” he grumbles the last part.

A small pout rests on your face at his response. No words are uttered between the two of you as you gently lean forward and press your plump lips against his. His body responds instantly as you move like two puzzles pieces that fit together. You eventually pull your lips from his, resting your foreheads together. “But we could be,” you whisper.

Heavy breaths are exchanged between the two of you as your eyes never leave one another until he finally leans in once again, this time making the kiss short and sweet.

“I think we are.”

You were sitting in the Great Hall surrounded by all of your Gryffindor friends after a long day of classes and work. Three of the four Marauders were present at the long, wooden tale piled with an incredible amount of delicious food that was the perfect end to your day. James, Peter, Sirius, and you found yourselves to be the center of attention in the grand room rather quickly due to Sirius and James’ unnecessarily loud laughing, though you weren’t really bothered by the stares. You were in the midst of telling a story about a friend you had made earlier that week when the final Marauder finally showed up after serving a detention (curtesy of James).

“He’s just so cute,” you gush to the three boys. “I can’t wait for you to meet him.”

Already grumpy after having served an undeserved detention, Remus couldn’t help but frown at your words upon arriving at the table. Your eyes shot to his as he took his usual seat across from you and next to Sirius. “Who’s cute?” he attempted to question in a nonchalant manner.

The boys didn’t seem to pick up on his odd tone, but you did. You cocked an eyebrow at his question, “Dennis.”

Remus nodded, though the smallest of frowns made its way onto his face. From then on he seemed more detached from the conversation, distracted by the millions of thoughts running through his mind. Who the hell was this Dennis? Why hadn’t he heard of him before? Your meal ended fairly soon as the five of you made your way back to the Gryffindor Common Room. Just as you were about to step through the portrait hole, a voice called you back, “Y/N, could I, er, talk to you for a moment?”

The werewolf shifted awkwardly from foot to foot as he subconsciously picked at his nails, a nervous habit. You shot him a soft smile, “Of course, Remus. What’s up?”

Remus’s nervousness only seemed to grow as he took a breath of preparation before, rather uncoordinatedly, spitting out his thoughts, “Look, I know I have no right to be jealous since we’re not technically dating or anything and I don’t know who this ‘Dennis’ kid is but I just-,” he paused for a moment with a sigh before recollecting himself, “Listening to you talk like that about someone else it- well, it kind of stung,” he finished off sheepishly, resembling a kicked puppy.

“You’re ridiculous.”

“I know, I know I jus-”

“Dennis is my cat.”

“Of course and I- wait, what?”

A giggle escaped your rosy lips which soon turned into a full blown laugh. Remus’s previously flustered face was dawned with realization as it turned to one of embarrassment. The blush rapidly making its way to his face only heightened your laughter, not helping his situation.

“Oh.”

You finally gathered yourself, your own face now red with amusement, “You must’ve been so blinded with jealousy you missed the part when I talked about how soft his fur is.”

His face heat up even more, if possible. You grasped his larger hand in your smaller one as you sent him a grin. He mumbled something under his breath, though it wasn’t quite audible to your ears, “Come again?”

His eyes darted up to meet yours, “I wasn’t jealous.” Your grin widened at his words which in turn initiated another round of blushing.

“Tell that to your face,” you giggled, poking his reddening cheek with your free hand. Remus swatted your hand away, although the smile on your face reached his anyways.

“Don’t worry about it, I’d be jealous too, I suppose. Besides,” you took your lip into your mouth whilst dropping his hand. You leaned closer to him, your mouth a mere few inches away from his ear. “You’re kind of sexy when you get all jealous. It’s a good look on you.”

You leaned back with a cheeky smile before skipping into the common room. Remus stood stunned for a few seconds before a small smirk of satisfaction took over his face as he followed you into the room. Who would’ve known getting jealous over a cat could end so well?

Christmas Magic

Overview: Sirius Black has always been a pain in the ass. But it’s only a week until Professor Slughorn’s Christmas party, and Y/N doesn’t have a date. James thinks he can fix that. (Young!Sirius x Reader)

Word Count: 682

Warning(s): None I’m pretty sure?

When Y/N walked up to James on a rather breezy, Wednesday morning and asked him to tutor her in Herbology, she was confident he would say yes. They helped each other out quite a bit; she tutored him in Charms, he helped her with Transfiguration. She would revise his potions essays and he gave her Quidditch tips. Their friendship was very give and take.

She never expected James to just flat out reject her.
“What?” She said with a laugh. She thought he was joking.
           “No.”
           “C’mon, Prongs -”
           “Ask Sirius.”
There was an all-too familiar, mischievous smirk tugging at the bespectacled boy’s lips. He was planning something – Y/N could just tell. Between that stupid grin and the way he was leaning back in the armchair by the fire, arms crossed, chin up, eyes just glistening with trouble, you could just tell.
With a very dry, unamused tone, Y/N replied, “ha ha.”

James looked up at her and just blinked. “What’s so funny, Y/N dear?”
“What’s funny is that you think I’d be able to spend more than three seconds alone with that git.”
Her best friend smiled. “I’ll tell him to meet you in the library after lunch.”

So there she was. It was a little after noon, and Y/N and Sirius were studying in the library. The two of them were seated all of the way in the back corner of the room, for Y/N was not happy about having Sirius as her tutor.
Y/N was currently in the middle of writing something down, so the two of them had fallen into one of many uncomfortable silences. She was scribbling away about the puss that comes out of mimbulus mimbletonia when Sirius spoke and interrupted her train of thought.
           “You’re cute when you’re concentrating.”
Y/N looked up from her essay and threw a crumpled up piece of parchment at him. “Piss off.”
           “You’re cute when you’re mad.”
           “God dammit Black -”
“You’re really bad at taking compliments, did you know that?”
Y/N didn’t say anything, and went back to writing her essay. She could feel Sirius’ eyes burning holes through her as he watched her work. Her cheeks heated up involuntarily at the action. She didn’t like people staring at her.
“Do you know what I think?”
Sirius’ voice was at a whisper, his chin in his hands.
Y/N sighed, slamming her quill down in exasperation. “What do you think, Black?”
“I think,” he was flashing her one of his famous, damn attractive smirks, “you’re stressed.”
“I am stressed,” she said with a groan. “I’m stressed because I don’t know anything about these bloody plants, and you’re not doing anything to help me because you’re just sitting there staring at me like an idiot!”
“That’s not why you’re stressed, dummy.”
           “Look -”
“You don’t have a date for Slughorn’s Christmas party.”
Y/N’s eyes darkened, but she couldn’t help the red colour that tinted her cheeks. “Why do you care?”
The boy shrugged, and leaned back in his seat. “I don’t. But you want to pass Herbology.”
“What the hell does that have to do with -”
“I’ll help you – actually help you, if you let me accompany you to Slughorn’s party.”
The laugh that Y/N emitted was loud enough that Madam Pince stuck her head out from behind a bookshelf and shushed her – her brown eyes looking as if they could kill for her outburst.
“Sorry,” Y/N mumbled, quickly avoiding the lady’s glance. “Black, you’re seriously mental.”
“Come on. We’ll have a good time. You can’t deny; we’d be the most attractive couple this damn school has ever seen.”
More silence fell between them, and Y/N was surprised to find that she was actually contemplating his offer.
           “You’ll tutor me for real?”
           “Whenever you need.”
Y/N threw her head back, a long, frustrated groan escaping her lips. Sirius was smiling now, for he knew she had made up her mind.
“Fine … but if you even think about kissing me -”
“Hey – you never know what kind of Christmas magic will be in the air that night, darlin’.”

Draco Malfoy Imagine - Is Somebody A Bit Jealous?

A/N: I know I haven’t updated in forever and I really don’t have an excuse, I just haven’t had any creative writing ideas. But the Cursed Child is making me a feel a type of way so here is a fluffy Draco imagine. Also, I think I am in love with Scorpius Malfoy. And requests are still open.

Request: Hey, can I request 2 imagines using the prompt #5. “Is somebody a bit jealous?” With Draco Malfoy

Prompt 5. “Is somebody a bit jealous?”

“And there goes Chambers with the Quaffle… and he goes to score… oh, another great save from Y/L/N! She has been on fire this whole match, she hasn’t let one quaffle in at all.”

You had just saved another Quaffle. Like Smith had said, you hadn’t let one Quaffle in at all this match. You didn’t like to boast, but let’s just say, you were one of the best keepers that Slytherin had ever had.

As the crowd cheered you looked around the pitch for your boyfriend. He wasn’t hard to spot as his blonde hair stood out from miles away. You caught his eye and he smiled at you mouthing a ‘good work.’ You smiled back and brought your attention back to the game.

Slytherin ended up winning 210-150, Ravenclaw got the Snitch, but the fact that you hadn’t let any Quaffles in at all that game made it possible for you to win. You were very proud of yourself and you knew you should be at this now meant Slytherin had a better chance at winning the House Cup.

Your team all went up to you, congratulating you on your brilliant performance. People from the Ravenclaw team and people from other houses also came up to congratulate you. As the crowd slowly started to disappear you waited for Draco to come meet you so you could walk to the castle together. What you did not expect was Cormac McLaggen to come on the pitch and walk up to you.

“Y/N, right?” He asked placing a hand upon your shoulder.

“Uh, yeah your Cormac McLaggen right?” You said awkwardly walking away so his hand slipped off. Why was he talking to you? He was a year above you, this didn’t make sense.

“You were amazing out there love.” He smiled walking with you. Draco called you love and it made you sick hearing it come from his mouth. It just didn’t sound right.

“Uh, thank you.” You smiled walking slowly, hoping Draco would come and save you.

“You know, your Quidditch skills are beautiful, just like you.” He said smirking at you. Did he not know that you already had a boyfriend? And did he not know that that was the most cringe-worthy sentence you had ever heard?

“Uh, okay. So I have to meet my boyfriend, and I’m going to go.” You said rolling your eyes and storming off to find Draco. McLaggen was nice, but very creeping.

“Hello.” Draco said suddenly walking beside you. Startled, you said, “Merlin! Draco, you can’t just walk up on me like that I nearly had a heart attack.” You giggle gently pushing his side. He wrapped an arm around you and said, “Sorry love.” The nickname felt much better coming from him, it made you feel all warm inside.

“Well I would say you played very well today, but I think half the school has already told you that.” You giggled as he removed his arm from your shoulders and took your hand in his.

“Thank you, sweetheart,” you said as he cringed at the nickname, “but you also played very well today and your effort should not go unrecognised.” You said smiling at him. He smiled back shaking his head and kissing your nose. Draco wasn’t a very affectionate person, but when he did show affection, it was your favourite thing in the world.

“Let’s go have dinner shall we?” He asked as you started swinging your hands as you walked back to the castle.

After a big dinner, you went back to the Slytherin Common room with Draco by your side. There was a minor celebration going on, mainly involving the team and some of the seventh year students. A few of them came up to you to congratulate you and you politely thanked them. You and Draco walked to the dormitory steps. As you walked over Draco whispered in your ear, “Are you going up to your dormitory?”

“I think so, are you?” You asked softly so only he could hear. He nodded and then leant down to whisper in your ear again.

“Come back down at one o'clock.” He said smiling at you and he then walked up to his dormitory. You couldn’t contain your smile as you also walked to your dormitory. This was a normal occurrence for you and Draco. As Draco wasn’t too much of a fan of public affection, you would regularly meet late at night in the Common Room so you could just enjoy each others company.

You walked into your dormitory and greeted the girls you shared it with. You got ready for bed and laid down. It was still quite early, so if you slept now, you hoped you would wake up before one.

You awoke to a loud thump from the other side of the dormitory. A groggy, “Sorry.” Was said from one of the girls as they hopped back in bed. You sighed and looked at your watch to find that it was five past one. Oh merlin, you thought as you jumped out of bed and raced down to the Common Room. There on the lounge closest to the fire sat your beautiful boyfriend waiting patiently for you.

“Boo.” You said quietly sitting down next to him.

He wrapped an arm around you and you moved your body into his feeling warm and safe in his arms.

“Hello, love.” He said kissing the side of your head. You rested your head on his shoulder and stared into the fire.

“So, there is a Slug Club meeting tomorrow, Slughorn reckons he has exciting news.” You said after you a while. Draco scoffed and rolled his eyes. You lightly slapped his arm raising your eyebrow.

“The Slug Club. What a pathetic excuse for a club.” He said making you giggle. Draco was very against the Slug Club as Professor Slughorn just wouldn’t invite him to a meeting.

“It’s not that bad really, I mean, there’s free food.” You said shrugging your shoulders making Draco smile at you. “And plus, you’re just upset that Slughorn won’t invite you to a meeting.” You stuck your tongue at him as he shook his head.

“But of course, stupid Potter is in it. And that Weasley girl and the mud-blood Granger. And even Longbottom, I mean come on, he will invite Longbottom but not me?” He growled staring into the fire.

“It would be much more enjoyable if you were there if I’m being honest. The only person I really know in the group is Blaise, but I don’t think he likes me too much.” You said scrunching your face up in confusion.

“How come?” Draco asked taking his gaze away from the fire and moving it to you.

“I don’t know, I sit next to him but he doesn’t acknowledge my presence. And then everybody else from every other house hates me. Trust me Draco, it’s not that great.” You said looking at him, trying to make him feel better. He nodded and kissed your nose. Your family was very high up in the ministry and it was no secret they held a lot of power. This was why you were in the Slug Club and also the reason that Lucius Malfoy didn’t mind you dating Draco. It also helped that your mother was a Death Eater, but it wasn’t something that you showcased or wanted to pursue when you let Hogwarts.

You both talked for the rest of the night about random things and whatever came to your mind This was until your eyes started to droop and you couldn’t stay up anymore. You both went back to your dormitories hoping to get at least an hour of sleep before you had to get  up for breakfast tomorrow.

“So, I have news.” You said walking with Draco to the library. He had waited for your Slug Club meeting to finish so you could spend the rest of the day studying together.

“What is your news?” He asked taking your hand in his and raising an eyebrow at you.

“So you know how Slughorn said he had something exciting to tell us?” Draco nodded as you continued, “Well, the news was he is holding a Christmas Party and we are allowed to bring a guest and I know you hate it and all but I still thought it’d be nice if you would come and-”

“Hey, Y/N.” You stopped your rambling and looked at Cormac McLaggen standing in front of you, stopping you and Draco.

“Uh, hi.” You said as you heard Draco scoff.

“So Slughorn is throwing a Christmas Party.” He said smirking and raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah, I’m really excited about it.” You giggled as Draco’s hand squeezed yours.

“Yeah, he said we could bring someone and I was wondering if you wanted to go with me?” He said, but Draco beat you to your reply.

“Sorry McLaggen, but my girlfriend is going to the Christmas Party with me.” He said furiously, venom coming from each individual word and emphasising the words ‘my’ and 'me’. McLaggens eyes drifted from you to Draco and narrowed his eyes at him. Draco narrowed his eyes back and looked him up and down. When Draco wanted to be, he could be very intimidating and you were grateful that he was there to save you from McLaggen this time. They stared each other down and with one last dirty look, McLaggen huffed and walked away. Draco rolled his eyes and started walking, dragging you with him.

He dragged you to the Slytherin Common Room, which was empty as everyone was enjoying the nice sunny Sunday outdoors. He dragged you to the lounge you sat in last night in front of the lit fireplace. The fireplace was usually always lit as it was quite cold in the dungeons.

Draco sat down on the lounge and you sat close to him.

“Draco.” You said in a teasing voice, almost sitting on top of him. You touched his face and held it in your hands, but he wouldn’t look at you. “Look at me.” You whispered and he finally looked at you and raised an eyebrow questioning your actions. “Is somebody a bit jealous?” You asked a teasing smile on your face.

“Shut up.” Draco said looking away from you.

“You know I was going to go with you, either way, right?” You said still  holding his head in your hands.

“It’s just, McLaggen pisses me off. Why has he taken a sudden liking to you? Not that people shouldn’t like you, but why him? I mean what was he trying to do yesterday after the Quidditch game? And now asking you to the stupid Christmas Party, who does he think he is?” He spat still refusing to look at you.

You didn’t really know what to say so instead asked, “Cuddle?” Stretching out your arms and removing them from his face. He shook his head and pushed your arms away. “Please?” You said pouting.

“No.” He murmured making you frown and look down at your hands in your lap. He looked at your sad face and sighed.

“Oh alright.” He said wrapping his long arms around your body making you beam. You instantly wrapped your arms around his and rested your head on his neck. You breathed in his fresh scent and then moved your head back up to look at him, still in his warm embrace.

“You saw him talking to me after the Quidditch game?” You asked.

“Yeah, why?” He asked looking at you again. You lightly slapped his arm, removing them from his neck.

“Why didn’t you come save me? It was torture to talk to him.” You said making him laugh. “But seriously, you have no reason to be jealous of him. I love you and not him.” He kissed your nose, his arms still wrapped around your body.

“And I love you also, very much.” He said as you lay your head back down in his neck and you both stayed like that for the rest of the afternoon, just enjoying each other’s warm embrace.

pillow talk

james:

“Do you think our children would be cute?”

“Of course they would, how wouldn’t they? I’m hot, you’re adorable. It’s the perfect combination.”

You and James had snuck out of Slughorn’s Christmas party early and are now lying tangled together underneath the sheets of his bed. The rest of the boys are still out as they’d all gotten dates and won’t be back for the next couple of hours.

“Why am I always the cute one? Why can’t I be the hot one?” you pout, shifting your head resting on his chest to look up at him.

James’s lips turn to form the shape of a smirk, “You can’t be the hot one because then I’d have to be the cute one and I’m not cute.”

You nudge his feet as you intertwine your fingers with his. “I think you’re very cute,” you hum, reaching your hand up to poke his cheek much to his displeasure.

James swats your hand away, the pout you had been wearing now apparent on his face, “I’m not cute, I’m sexy.”

This only widens your smile which in turn deepens his frown, “Yeah, pouting like a two-year-old is just so very sexy.” He whines, turning your grin into an open mouthed giggle as you nestle yourself further into his body. “But I think we’d have cute children,” you answer your own question as his face buries itself in the crook of your neck.

“The cutest,” he mumbles into your hair, his lips pressing softly against the bare skin on your shoulder.

“Sirius, if you don’t stop shuffling about and let me sleep I swear you won’t live to see the light of day,” you grumble into his bare chest as he shifts for the billionth time under the duvet covering the two of you.

“’M sorry,” he mumbles whilst he moves his body yet again, your eyes rolling as he does so. “I can’t get comfortable though. Here,” he finishes as he nudges your body off his chest and onto your side, the front of his own body coming to press up against the back of yours in a spooning position. He rest his arm over your waist as his chin props itself against your shoulder.

You sigh, but are quick to readjust, snuggling back further against his front. Your eyes flutter closed as you feel your breaths deepening, sleep beginning to take you over. Just as you are seconds away from falling into a deep sleep, your boyfriend wriggles underneath the covers again. You clench your jaw, hoping it is just a small readjustment, but are dismayed once the bed shakes again. Absolutely fed up with Sirius’s restlessness, you sharply turn your body and face his wide eyes with a glare.

“Sorry, Y/N I just-”

You don’t give him a chance to finish his sentence as you use all the force you can muster in your tired state to flip him around onto his other side. You press the front of your body against the back of his as your hands make their way to his front and your chin rests on his shoulder. You are in the same position as before, though with switched roles.

Sirius’s mouth gapes open and closed again and again for a few seconds as he processes the new position. A pout makes its way onto his face at the idea of losing his ‘manliness’ over a cuddling pose. “Y/N, I’m not a little spo-”

“Shh.”

Your boyfriend’s mouth closes as he continues to pout, but doesn’t make a move to do anything about it. In fact, this new position is the most comfortable yet despite him not wanting to admit it. Surely enough, in a matter of minutes the two of you are fast asleep, feet tangled beneath the mess of covers, the only audible sound in the room being soft snores and hums.

“Remus?”

“Yes?”

It’s Christmas Eve and you and Remus have decided to spend winter break at school while the rest of your friends have gone home to visit their families. The two of you are lying in his bed as he reads aloud one of the Muggle books he got from his mother, Pride and Prejudice.

“Do you think you could read it a little more slowly?” you whisper as he peers at you curiously.

“Of course Love, am I rushing?”

You mumble a response, but your words are muffled by the covers bunched at his waist. His eyebrows knit together in confusion, “Y/N Darling, I can’t hear you when you’re hiding in the covers.”

You look up at your boyfriend with an apparent blush displayed on your face. The color of your cheeks pulls at his heart as a small smile takes over him. “I’m just not ready for it to end and I know the faster you read the quicker it will be over.” The soft smile on Remus’s face turns into an amused one as a chuckle escapes him. The blush on your face deepens at the sound, your face falling back to its previous position in the covers.

“I’ll slow it down,” he speaks softly whilst stroking your hair once his laughs subside. You hum in response as his hands lift the book again. Remus continues his reading though this time at a slower pace, as promised
