I really enjoy doing over-the-top makeup such as this one. For this look, we had to create or re-create the doe-eye look (bigger eyes!) and the fish tail (though I wish I placed the lower lash line a little bit closer to the eyes). Good thing more IS more and bigger is better for this look! ;)
This is a very common look but very timeless nonetheless. A classic smokey eyes uses only one color as compared to the modern smokey eyes that uses three shades of color. It’s all about the blending to create that smokey effect. Blend, blend, blend!
This look was patterned after the makeup that my mentor (Ms. Mikey) did for a Roberto Cavalli show during Singapore Fashion Week. I used a foolproof color black (Carbon by MAC) on my beautiful friend, Pam! For the lips, I used Overtime by MAC’s Pro Longwear lipstick line. It’s an absolute favorite lipstick of mine. ;)
[Late post] Some of the photos I took and screen captured from the Deux video I did earlier this month! Checkout the previous posts for the Deux video launch. There were 2 looks –day (simple, clean, classic look) and the night (dark, smokey look).
For our last makeup session, we had to select one look that we find difficult to do from the previous sessions and try to achieve it this time. The Academy decided that I should try to step out of my comfort zone and do makeup on a much darker skin tone. I did the day or classic bridal look on her and it turned out pretty well. I really love her skin and prominent bone structure!
This sums up my MUFE journey! Now, I’m excited to do more!! :)
