All my fellow Skyeward shippers! I know we are all upset about what happened to our ship, and there is no way it can be replaced by anything else. However, I’ve been watching The Blacklist on Netflix…and the similarities between Keen2 and Skyeward are astonishing! Tom and Lizzie will never replace Skye and Grant. But Tom and Lizzie are pretty amazing, and *spoilers* I believe Tom gets a redemption arc. I’ve only just finished season 2 though, so I’m not to sure what’s all gonna happen.

Specialist Grant Ward and rookie Skye, who has a certain talent for computer hacking, are sent on an Undercover operation to infiltrate CyberTech, a computer science company that is secretly owned by HYDRA. They aren’t exactly thrilled to be having to work together—Skye thinks that Ward is nothing more than a robot while Ward doesn’t think that Skye is capable of pulling this op off without everything blowing up around them. Pretending to be a married couple, they move to Los Angeles into a suburbian neighbourhood. Even though they would have thought that having to pretend to be husband & wife, they soon realize that they actually enjoy the life they have made up for themselves. They enjoy spending time with each other, and find that deep down inside, they are quite happy being a “married couple”. They start falling in love with each other and even though they both know that they shouldn’t let their emotions interfere with their mission, they still get closer to each other and kiss. However, when Ian Quinn, the head of CyberTech and member of HYDRA, finds out that two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents have infiltrated his company, he shoots Skye while Ward has to watch helplessly. Even though things don’t look good, S.H.I.E.L.D. comes to their aid in time and they manage to save Skye. Her almost dying makes both of them realize that they don’t want to choose their jobs over their feelings—they both know that, while their Cover might have been pretense, their feelings for each other are not. So they decide to give it a shot and find a way to both be together and still be agents.
because for the first time in his life, Grant Ward has realized that feelings aren’t a weakness but rather something that makes him stronger.
