sky is your limit

An Introduction to Sun Tea Magic

Growing up in the south I have the fondest memories of sun tea made on hot days, using nothing but the sun’s warm rays to help the infusing process. I love sun tea because because it’s almost impossible to mess up, there isn’t any boiling water to worry about and almost no way to burn the leaves.

However, as a witch I have a new found appreciation. A simple drink can become a way to fill yourself with different magical properties. The sun itself is a catalyst for spells for vitality, clarity, health, happiness, and confidence. The best part is, ITS SO EASY.

FIRST: Pick the tea leaves for what you are trying to accomplish. Green tea is great for igniting passion, sexual health, and love. Black tea represents nature, strength, and is good for expelling and removing negative energies. Then we have herbal teas which are a whole other story with lots of different flavors and herbs with expansive options and magickal properties.

SECOND: Pick a few crystals to put on the lid or around the pitcher. Here I have crystal quartz and carnelian. I chose quartz for its ability to cleanse and enhance the crystals around it, and carnelian to help with anxiety and depression.

THIRD: Place outside or in a window with a lot of light and let the sun work its magic. During this time focus on what you are trying to manifest. Put all your intentions into the witchy brew. Remove tea bags when it reaches your desired color (I use six regular bags per two liters, but it’s up to you how strong you like your tea). Pour over ice and enjoy.

Optional: you can add cut fruit to further the intention. Strawberries, lemons, mint, or blood orange.

Some amazing combinations are:

🌞 Hibiscus tea and rose quartz for love

🌞 Black tourmaline and black tea for spirit cleansing

🌞 White tea and grapefruit for purification and uniting with the goddess of your choice

Really, the sky is the limit here. Try everything, there are no wrong answers.

Let me know what you guys try! I hope you enjoy this :)

SUPER EDIT: It was brought to my attention that I forgot to include some serious food safety tips with this, so here they are.

I’ve been drinking this for 24~ years? With no issue because I do the following:

- use purified water, most bacteria comes from the water itself in addition to things like unsanitized pitchers and what not.
- do not leave the tea out for more than the intended brewing time (15-30 minutes).
- only make what you intend to drink that day.
- keep in the refrigerator no longer than 72 hours.
- use tea leaves that come from sealed packages and are not expired.
- if tea ever develops ropey looking strands, toss it and wash the container with hot water and soap (I also will rinse with vinegar).

look into your eyes

Summary: Five times Yuri Plisetsky’s eyes had left Otabek helpless, even if he didn’t know it at first. (word count: 2303)

1. and the sky’s the limit

He did not have the natural talent, nor did he have a lot of resources. Compared to the others, the ones with so much more, he was nothing. It felt easy to just give up, leave Russia, and forget about his dream of becoming an ice skater and making his country proud.

And honestly, he was about to do exactly that. Not only was he stuck with students 2-3 years younger than he was, he still keeps getting scolded for not being able to do what they could.

All those thoughts were erased from him when he looks up and sees a boy - probably ten or eleven, at most - do the exercise perfectly, lifting his leg and pointing his toes exactly as the instructor had told. But it wasn’t that that had captivated him.

hallways in the pink album

So I had to drive for 8 hours the other day and basically listened to Harry’s album on repeat, alone with my thoughts…so the result is either gonna be awesome or totally weird, right? Anyway, I’ve seen some amazing interpretations (@seasurfacefullofclouds, @harryflyles and @iftheresnolove have all said brilliant things, and totally informed my understanding of the album/individual songs. Also, hi! Sorry if it’s weird to tag you!).

But as I drove through Ohio (how fun.), the motif of the “hallway” started to become key to my understanding of the album. It recurs multiple times (in MMitH, but also Only Angel and kinda the hotel room in FtDT), so it seems important! At first, it might not feel related to some of the other big themes in Harry’s album (like miscommunication and silence, which you can definitely tie to Harry’s personal relationships, and like…what the songs might be about on an individual level). But here’s my argument: I think the figure of the “hallway” is the album’s way of discussing how your environment can constrain your ability to communicate. Which maybe puts a more structural spin on the idea of “miscommunication.”

Basically I just think it’s interesting that an album Harry has consistently described as all about Freedom™ is so focused thematically on being trapped and not-in-control. (I mean, I personally think it’s 100% a way to work through the experience of being a closeted celebrity in a boy band, but you don’t have to agree!)

ANYWAY. Let’s start with what the image of a “hallway” evokes:

Heavens. I had made Cersei on a whim the night of I got internet. I literally had nothing but a few pictures and a keyboard and like..maybe 2 followers? Cersei literally showed up out of no where and demanded that I love her, and it’s been a wild ride ever since. I’ve met so many people, written so many things, and Cersei and I have been through so much together. And I’m just thankful for every single moment that had happened, every single person I’ve met, and every heart wrenching and cute things our muses have been through.

Really it wouldn’t have been such an awesome ride without every single one of you, and I’m so thankful for you all. I know I’m terrible with having constant productivity but thank you for putting up with it. For putting up with the mess that I am and my random days where all I do is jack around doing nothing but reblogging pretty pictures. (how do you put up with me)

Beneath the cut is some very special shout outs to those I could never be without. Please I ask early on that you forgive me if I miss anyone. I have a terrible memory and there is just so MANY of you. ohmygosh. I can never be thankful enough. I love you all, my lovelies!

Helpless (Tim Drake x Reader)

A/N: I wanted to write this so badly you literally don’t understand. I had the idea to base a fic off this song and was trying to decide which batboy. There’s a line in the song that’s goes “I’m trying not to cry because there’s nothing your mind can’t do” and so I chose Tim! This fic is based on the song “Helpless” from Hamilton. Maybe listen to it as you read? Idk, your choice. Also you have a sister in this because lyrics said so. This is such trash and I’m sorry.

It was a hot summer night, and the night of another Wayne Gala.

People were chattering, dancing and generally having a good time all around you. You had come with your parents and sister, more mandatory than voluntary.

You smiled to yourself as your sister charmed everyone in the room with a dazzling smile and an infectious laugh.

Center spotlight had never been your thing, and you much preferred to watch your sister gracefully waltz across the floor.

You glanced away from the crowd, to the doorway where people were still trickling in.

You swore your heart skipped a beat. A boy about your age entered, his black hair styled nearly, his blue eyes piercing and captivating.

You weren’t one to fawn over strangers, really, you weren’t. But something about him sent butterflies through your stomach. You felt like you were flying, just looking at him.

He stood at the opposite side of the ballroom, and you tried to catch his eye from across the shifting waves of dancers.

For just a second your eyes met and if you felt like you were flying before, now you were soaring, far above the clouds. The band was playing loudly in the background, but you hardly noticed. You didn’t realize that you were smiling, lost in his eyes until he looked away with a slight smirk.

“What’s this? Found someone interesting?” A voice came from behind you, and you felt a gentle touch on your forearm.

You turned and saw your sister, smirking at you encouragingly.

“Maybe,” you said, one side of your mouth turning up in a half smile. “I think this one’s mine.”

Your sister nodded and made her way across the ballroom. Too late you realized she was headed directly for him. She took the young man by the arm gently.

What was she doing? No, no, no! So much for that.

Your sister started to pull him off somewhere, and you could feel your nerves building as you watched them go.

Then he looked back at you, and suddenly the flying feeling was back and you were helpless.

“Where are you taking me?” Tim asked your sister skeptically, allowing her to guide him by the arm around the sides of the ballroom.

“I’m about to change your life,” she said, smirking to herself.

“By all means, lead the way,” Tim replied, still slightly skeptical.

You wanted to slap yourself for ever doubting your sister’s intentions once you saw her leading him over to you.

You felt happiness flutter up your chest as your eyes met with his once again.

He and your sister reached you and she gave you an encouraging nudge on the arm.

“(Y/N) (L/N), it’s a pleasure to meet you,” you said, introducing yourself.

“(L/N)?” he asked, looking over to your sister.

“My sister,” she replied.

He nodded and turned back to you. “(Y/N), did you say? Lovely name. I’m Timothy Drake,” he said shaking your hand.

“I’ll leave you to it,” your sister said before making her way back out to the dance floor.

It had hardly been a week since the gala and you were constantly messaging and talking to him. The flying feeling had yet to fade.

That wonderful feeling really never did go away. Every time you looked that boy in the eye it was like the sky was the limit.

Almost a year later, Tim stood in your dining room, casually talking with other guests at a party your family was hosting.

You were nervous. Tim had asked your father for his blessing earlier that night, and your father had yet to give his answer.

You felt pride and joy swell in your heart as you watched Tim confidently charm your guests. You swore you could have cried tears of joy right then and there. There was nothing his mind couldn’t do. And this boy was yours.

Once Tim had separated himself from the group of party guests your father made his way across the room.

You started to panic. What if he said no? You could feel your heart begin to sink at all the possibilities, but your father shook his hand and suddenly Tim was giving you this big goofy smile and you were soaring again.

He came over to you, still smiling, and those dazzling blue eyes locked with yours.

You were sitting in Tim’s room, curled into his side in comfortable silence.

“(Y/N)?” Tim asked, shifting so that he could look at you.

“Yeah?” you answered glancing over at him.

“Listen. Just, listen. I’ve wanted to say this for a while. You and your family bring out a different side of me. You make me feel like I really belong somewhere, you know?” Tim had begun to run his hands through your hair.

“You belong with Bruce too, though. You belong with Batman,” you asserted gently.

“Of course I do, but when I was a kid, my parents weren’t around. Even once Bruce adopted me, I never had what I could call a normal, functional family. Once we’re married we can get a place in Gotham, and we’ll figure it out. I’m just so excited about all of this. I’ve been living without a normal family for so long. I swear, I’ll make sure you never feel as helpless as I did.”

You looked up at him, and met with those beautiful blue eyes. You pressed a chaste kiss to his lips.

As it happens, you would be feeling that same flying feeling on the day of your wedding.

When it came to Tim, you were helpless.

YO @ichiwashername-o!! I’m your Secret Santa for the @undertalesecretsanta! 8D

I actually wasn’t exactly sure what to draw you, at first. (Your prompt was GB!Papyrus, so the sky was the limit) So have some long-overdue What Are Friends For-related fanart!

I really enjoyed drawing the WAFF version of GB!Papyrus - he’s a little more slender and draconic than my Puppyrus. If you guys haven’t yet, you can give the fanfic a read right here, or check out Ichi’s Tumblr!

The second image is a scene from Chapter 10 of WAFF. It features a flashback of how the Skelebros met Grillby after they escaped from Gaster’s lab. Sans isn’t doing so well, hence why he’s being carried by Grillby, there. And our favourite fire elemental’s the one who gives Papyrus his iconic scarf. It’s probably one of the scenes that stuck with me the most.

The last image is just me trying to sort out how to draw WAFF Pap’s skull, but I think they turned out alright, so have those as well! WAFF Papyrus is pretty sheepish in quite a few scenes. Big dragon dork.

But yeah. Merry Christmas, Ichi! : D

I was this close to animating the entire musical number of We Are Number One featuring Magester and his students, but I ran out of time. I hope this suffices, in the end.

Day 6 (Feb 8th): Favourite Quote

“Never, ever let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do. Prove the cynics wrong. Pity them for they have no imagination. The sky’s the limit. Your sky. Your limit. Now, let’s dance.”

This quote had a personal meaning, because it accompanied me during the countless changing I am still doing.

And one day, it took a second meaning because one of the people I met on Tumblr, gave it to me for Christmas. She couldn’t have hit better. Now this sentence also means friendship. So I am dedicated it to everybody round there, who needs inspirations and love.
