Lisa I had to ask you about this whole Al Pacino situation since you are from what I remember the biggest Al fan lol haven’t talked to you in awhile (prob 6 years) hoping you are doing great! Also was thinking about you since I’m going to buffalo in 2 weeks (close to Canada lol) I’m going to Niagara Falls and the zoo and I thought about you! It’s silly I know but I was like wait my friend Lisa from tumblr is from Canada. Anyhoo I hope you’re doing great and my best wishes for you!
Omg, is this who I think it is?! 💕
You're going to be so close! The last time I was in Buffalo was in 2017 when I was on my way to Cleveland. God, that was a long time ago...
Al, well. Let's just say that I don't envy any of them of their situation 😂 I hope the kid will be healthy and cared for beyond their financial needs. Is it weird that I don't have much of an opinion beyond that? It was the last thing I'd ever expected to hear about him, but I also don't really care, lol.
Here’s a little document I put together for that April Fools post
On December 16th 1263 the Norwegian king, Haakon the Old, died in the Bishop's Palace, Kirkwall, Orkney.
In early 1263 Scots forces of King Alexander III mounted raids on the Norwegian territories in the Outer Hebrides. Håkon IV responded in July of that year by arriving in the Firth of Clyde with a large invasion force. This took control of the Isle of Bute, capturing Rothesay Castle. What followed was a standoff between Alexander III and Håkon IV, with Alexander negotiating and playing for time in the hope that bad weather would disrupt the Norwegian fleet. This duly arrived on the night of 30 September 1263, driving part of Håkon's fleet ashore on the Scottish mainland at Largs and sinking a number of his ships.
A series of skirmishes broke out on the beach at Largs, and Håkon landed more of his ships to assist those that had been beached. The Norwegians then withdrew on hearing of the approach of a large Scottish army, and retreated to overwinter in Orkney before resuming their campaign the following Spring. But Håkon fell ill and died while staying at the Bishop's Palace in Kirkwall. On his deathbed he appointed his son Magnus as his successor. Håkon IV was buried in St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall over the winter, then his body was taken for burial in Bergen Cathedral.
The first picture is a sketch of King Haakons seal dated 15248/49, the second is of Haakon and Skule Bårdsson, Norwegian nobleman and claimant to the royal throne against Hakon from the 14th century Icelandic Flateyjarbók, an important medieval Icelandic manuscript.
how it slips from tongue to ear, letters meaning buildings, times, food and drink
military -- precise and numb as stone, utilitarian
it takes getting used to, like the cold chlorine pools at the nat, the plastic llc mattresses,
the dead week corpses at the hsb, the smell of sweat and wax and decaying sports equipment
at the sac gym, this is a taste as acquired as valley food, words sharp as a vorpal spoon

"PALS" skuler er noko jævla bullshit. Me kan synge og halde hender og snakke om anti-mobbing så mykje me vil, rektor, men ungane kutter seg sjølv framleis på handicap-dassane.
Me kjem heim frå skulen, set oss på golvet og grin fordi me føler oss verdilause og suicidale.
UNGDOMMEN DREPER SEG SJØLV FOR FAEN. KVA I HELVETTE ER DET DU IKKJE FORSTÅR? ELEVER HOPPER FRÅ TAK. HENGER SEG SJØLV. SKJER OPEN STRUPA SI. SVELGER PILLER. FORDI DYKK IKKJE GJER PISS NÅR FOLK BLIR TRAKASERTE OG FORFULGTE. DESSE JÆVLA HYLKARANE SNUR IKKJE HOVUDET SITT EIN GONG NÅR UNGANE BRUKER SJUKE SJELLSORD MOT ANDRE OG BLIR FAEN MEG OVERASKA NÅR NOKON BLIR JAGA MED KNIV AV EI BRU PÅ GRUNN AV HUDFARGEN DEIRA.
GJER NOKO FOR HÆLVETTE! IKKJE BERRE SIT DER OG LYG FOR FAEN.

The Tragedy of Ed and Izzy's Relationship
Izzy's thoughts are full of Ed.
As first mate, he must follow Ed's orders. His entire job focuses on doing Ed's bidding. Following every whim, for years.
When Ed is off his game or careless or eccentric, that's Izzy's problem too.
Loyalty is deeply important to Izzy, or at least his personal sense of it. Even when Izzy ended up banished from the ship, throwing threats at Edward before rowing into the horizon, he was worried about Ed. About what Stede was doing to his brain. You can hear the desperation in his voice when Stede is facing the firing squad. He won't let Ed "ruin" himself. In fact, he's adhering to Ed's old principles: the love of a pet makes a man weak.
And he isn't entirely wrong. Ed's emotionally devastated by Stede's abandonment.
Their relationship, Izzy and Ed's, is important to him. It's Izzy who first to apologize to Ed after their fight. Throughout the episode, he's exasperated but trying to be patient. Trying to redirect Ed's attention without being a dick.
Until, of course, he explodes over Ed's clothing switch, his patience annihilated.
But that episode tells us a lot about how Edward views Izzy too. How Izzy's real concerns about imminent death go in one ear and out the other. He barely flinches at Izzy's resignation, totally calm about Izzy preparing to leave at the end of the episode.
For me, one of the most tragically telling moments about Ed and Izzy's relationship is in episode 10. Not the yelling and the slamming against walls. Before that.
Relax, take it easy...
Coolwater, on half an acre, steps to the beat of a different drum with its breathtaking Water Garden, troughs chockerblock with choice Alpine plants and distinctively styled West Garden: don't expect lawns and borders in this garden! Overlooked on one side by Skule Hill and on the other by Rockstown Castle, it has been designed for year round structure and shape. The ponds in the West garden together with the large one in the Water Garden have also encouraged a superabundance of aquatic wildlife.
