In other words, it’s Skoda’s attempt at injecting a little character and ‘emotion’ into its Fiesta-rivalling little supermini. Though it’s not that little anymore.
The new Fab, based on VW’s flexible MQB architecture, is nine centimetres wider than the car it replaces, but some three centimetres lower and a fraction shorter than the car it replaces. That should go some way to providing at least a hint of the sportiness the brand promises is inherent in the car’s styling DNA. [x]
Skoda Fabia R5. The International Automobile Federation FIA has homologated ŠKODA’s new rally car. The Fabia R 5 is based on ŠKODA’s new production Fabia and is the successor to the Fabia Super 2000, which went down in history as the most successful rally car in the history of ŠKODA Motorsport
After 9 years and with a vast amount of guilt I have parted with my granite grey, crumbly around the edges, Fabia. I had her from new- chose every aspect of her & although there was some cosmetic damage she never, not once gave me a moments bother. She was loyal & dependable and apart from her slightly random a/c temperature fluctuations still works perfectly. I hope wherever she goes she is loved. I’ll remember her forever…however…I replaced her with the shiny minx in the picture. I’m one fickle bitch. A fickle bitch in a shiny lime car.
