Request: Can you do me a Yoongi fluff where you’re a Youtuber and you’re doing a makeup tag and you do his makeup/he does your makeup and it’s just full of fluff and funny moments? xD
Genre: Fluff / Comedy.
-No I won’t do it- you heard Yoongi say when you pushed him to answer the question you had made some minutes ago.
Your subscribers had been begging you to do a makeup tag with your boyfriend, and secretly, or not so secretly, you really wanted to do it as well. You had the makeup, you had the boyfriend, but Yoongi wasn’t having it, or so he thought.
You pouted coming closer to him. -Why not?-
He sighed keeping his eyes down on his laptop to then look at you with a frown. -What is a makeup tag exactly?-
You sat on the arm of the sofa where he was sitting. -Don’t pretend you don’t know-
-I don’t- he answered and you squinted your eyes because you knew he did know but was only acting up, making himself uncooperative just to annoy you and please himself hearing you going around and about. You knew him too well.
-Alright, I will explain, again, but give me some room there- you said and he obliged moving things around, but barely, so you had to sit in the little space very close too him. He shrugged and watched his laptop but you didn’t miss the little smirk. Oh Yoongi, him and his passive aggressive ways always made you want to laugh, or to hit him with something. -A makeup tag is when someone ask you to do some kind of video, in this case, about makeup, so it will be us doing something with it, and after that I will tag people or my subscribers-
-Ah!- he exhaled exaggeratedly. -So that’s what it is-
You smiled leaning a bit more to him. -Yes that’s what it is, would you do it with me?-
Yoongi turned his head to you and raised his brows. -No-
You whined and slapped his arm as he laughed. -You are the worst, I wonder If I can find another boyfriend who can do things with me- you put that out crossing your arms childishly, closing your eyes waiting for his reply.
-Yah, what is that about other boyfriend?- he put the laptop away with the pile of things he had on the sofa. -Not a chance-
-No? I bet I can find the perfect man to do the makeup tag with me-
-What perfect man?- he snorted. -You have me, you don’t need anyone else- he answered smugly.
You couldn’t help your smile and he couldn’t help his despite him wanting to remain with his cocky smirk. -So that means you will do it with me?-
Yoongi turned a bit more to you, one hand going to yours, the other to your thighs. -What do I get in return?-
-My love- you answered with agyeo making him squirm and smile in embarrassment because he probably didn’t expect that. -and a wish-
-A wish you say?- he repeated putting himself together, licking his lips.
You nodded. -A wish, and of course me not looking for another boyfriend-
He frowned and pinched your thigh and you laughed. -Alright then, but I will make you work for it, let’s see what is this makeup tag thing you have going on-
Hey loves, this masterpost was partially requested and I’m so excited. I recommend to do your research before buying the dupe, some of the dupes are better than others. Some brands are repeated. Here is a dupe masterpost for MAC lipsticks. Here is a dupe masterpost for liquid lipsticks. Here is a spreadsheet of Coastal Scents eyeshadows to MAC eyeshadow dupes. Most of these dupes I found online so I do not take credit for any of those but some I researched myself. This is under read more because this list is very long. :) If you have any more dupes or questions, feel free to send them in.
Could the ELF cosmetics poreless face primer be a possible dupe for Smashbox's photo finish face primer? I really like smashbox's primer, however paying 36 dollars for it is a little too much for a college student.
I think the best dupe of the Smashbox primer is actually Maybelline Baby Skin. Both are clear, lightweight primers that blur pores without clogging them. I might even venture so far to say that the Maybelline primer out performs the Smashbox primer in terms of smoothing the skin to perfection.
Maybelline Baby Skin Face Primer - $6
Hope this helps!

I used a face primer and setting spray today (which is odd considering my only plans were to fester in my bedroom and occasionally get food) but I want you guys to remind me to do it constantly from now on because usually after having foundation on for about an hour my face feels disgusting but I did my makeup at like 3pm and it’s now 1am and I forgot I even still had my makeup on
Filling the prompt “could you write something rlly cute n fluffy about van
watching you do ur makeup and he’s asking a bunch of questions and he’s all
interested and adorable as always?????”
Hope slight change in who is wearing the makeup, and the type of makeup, is
alright? I’ll write in general ‘Van watching you do your makeup’ into another
fic too, soon.
As you walked through the gates to the old
warehouse, you looked around. It was such a weird mix of people. There was a
group of guys sitting on the concrete in a circle. You guessed they were the
band; dressed in all black and visibly buzzing, even from a distance. There
were other people, older, kicking a football around. Some more well dressed, probably
important people stood around too. You only recognised Steve Lamacq among all
You headed around the corner of the only
trailer in the lot, and collided with a body. “Fuck, sorry love!” he
said. He looked at you with blue eyes. His hair was parted in the middle
and his sports shoes looked out of place, but in the context of the day, it
made sense. He was just a baby, but still the same age as you.
“No harm done,” you told him. He
smiled, and you liked his crooked front tooth. You pointed behind him, at the
trailer. “Got to go,” you said. He nodded and stepped aside. He
watched you walk up the stairs.
Inside you started to mix the fake blood and
get out the tools of the trade needed to create scrapes and bruises. You were
doing the makeup and effects for a music video, your agency said. Some new
indie band. The video’s narrative was a back street football game. Think: Fight
Club, but less problematic, they said. The trick to making people look hurt was
to make them perfect before. The actors, or were they real football players -
you didn’t know, wouldn’t need makeup. They weren’t having close ups, or being
beaten up. The band filed in one by one, and each of them were polite and
excited. They all tried to hide their amusement at getting makeup done. They
all made self-deprecating jokes, too. You evened out their skin tone and
concealed their tiredness.
TOTAL: $62 These are all drugstore makeup brands and I tried to find the most affordable products worth the money. I would suggest starting out with foundation, concealer, mascara and eyeliner (It’s what I started with), and then work your way into the other items I’ve listed! You will need brushes and I look at them as more of an investment, which is why I’m willing to dole out more money but the E.l.f brushes are cheap, decent ones to start with! You can also check out Wet N Wild, because they have affordable brushes, too. If you’re willing to spend a little bit more money, I whole-heartedly recommend Real Technique Brushes, they are amazing for the price and last a long time! Hope this helps!!
Super oily eyelids? Try using a cleansing oil to remove your eye makeup. Not only is oil super effective at removing eye makeup but oil is attracted to oil meaning your eyelids will be less oily in the long run.
I find the NARS Eyeshadow Primer just keeps everything on all day if you have oily eyelids.
The Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is the perfect texture for natural looking smoothing while still providing something that is more long wearing for oily skin. Some primers are either smoothing or long wearing but this one does a good job for both. The texture is so silky and lightweight that it smooths without being greasy or heavy and sort of looks like a filter for the face.
If you’re looking for my favorite more affordable options, I love the NYX Proof It Eyeshadow Primer. The NYX one is waterproof and is very long wearing while still being light weight on the eyes. You don’t want to over apply this like a base because it can get a little too thick and actually cause creasing. Think of this like a face primer for the eyes, use a thin layer and let it do it’s thing. Also don’t get this confused with the Proof It EYEBROW primer, they are two different products.
My favorite affordable face primer is actually just the Ulta Brand Fabulous Face Foundation Primer. It’s silky, light weight and makes your skin look smoother while still being long wearing. These are my ideal primer must haves!
Face primers are fantastic, and even though I don’t wear one every time I do my makeup , if I need my makeup to look last and look flawless all day I’ll use one. Don’t be fooled into thinking they are just another product to buy so brands can get more money, they are much more than that.
In short, primers are amazing products that you apply after you’ve cleansed and moisturised your skin, but before you apply any coverage products like foundation or concealer. Majority of primers are designed to help make your makeup last a lot longer and smooth over the surface
of the skin so your makeup applies evenly.
Can you please do a Jared imagine where the reader is really shy (I mean REALLY shy) and has really bad anxiety, but he’s really gentle with her and tries to help her:) thanks
A/N: Here it is! It was different to write, i’m not really shy what my name would have you think. So i hope this is what your were looking for!
It was your first day of your big break. You had finally landed a job on a block buster movie set, Suicide Squad. You deserved this and you knew you did, but that didn’t stop your nerves from knocking on the door. It was simple really, you were a shy girl, who also happened to have anxiety. Not the end of the world, right? You thought to yourself as weaved your way through set, heading towards the makeup trailer.
You had been assigned to be the Jokers makeup artist, a.k.a Jared letos. You couldn’t believe it JARED LETO. The Joker’s look was already designed for you, all you had to do was apply the make up, and be his touch up girl between takes. You entered the trailer, happy to see it was empty. You began to set up all of your needed equipment, Jared would be there shortly. Jared Leto was a method actor that wasn’t news to you, but it the more you thought about it, the more nervous you became. He was playing the Joker after all, and heaven knows the Joker is not one to be trifled with. Hoping he wouldn’t pay much attention to you if you just did your job. The last thing you wanted was to be a plaything of the Jokers.
Your head shot up as the door opened. And there he was. Jared Leto, in all his glory. His green hair was slicked back and his eyebrows were missing but other than that he looked relatively normal. He was wearing gray sweatpants, and a red plaid button up, with large combat boots that weren’t even tied. You held your breath not sure if he was in character or how exactly he worked.
“Hi, I’m Jared.” He said while stretching out a hand for you to shake.
You released a breath you didn’t know you were holding, apparently he wouldn’t be the Joker until after the first day of shooting.
“You must be my make up artist?”
You stretched your small hand out to shake his.
“Hi. And yes I am.” You replied while not looking at him in the eyes.
“What’s your name?” He asked.
“Y/N” you replied.
“Nice to meet you Y/N.”
“Nice to meet you.” You replied in a small voice, already overwhelmed by how much attention he was focusing on you.
“Should I sit down.” He asked gesturing to the large chair.
You nodded your head in response.
Taking a deep breath you finished preparing your things, while Jared played on his phone.
Fuck. You thought. Jared would need to remove his clothes so you could began airbrushing his body with the white paint. You wanted to cry, as your anxiety started to build up. How were you suppose to ask him to remove his clothes in a professional way.
“So I’m guessing I need to strip?” He asked with a laugh.
You nodded once again, trying to regain your emotions as relief flooded your body. Dumb, he was actor he knows it all part of the job. And here you are acting like a idiot, instead of doing yours.
“…and then could you please stand in the tent?”
You asked quietly while not looking at him and gesturing to the plastic tent that would keep the body paint from making a mess.
“No problem.” He spoke.
You looked up at him in time to see him start pulling down the waistband of his boxers.
“No!” You abruptly called out, you didn’t need to cover down there.
He froze at your sudden outburst.
“Not going to lie you’re the first women to tell me no, while doing that.” He laughed while readjusting the boxers on his hips.
You blushed madly red.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to… uh freak out, I just uh didn’t need them, uh I mean your boxers off.”
“No worries Y/N, I should have asked first.”
He then stepped into the plastic tent. You lathered up your hands with skin primer.
“Uhh, I’m going to need to rub this into your skin first… so the body paint stays on good.” You said avoiding his eyes.
“You won’t hear any complaints from me.”
So with that you took a breath, and began rubbing the primer into his skin. You started with his face, then next, then arms. When you began rubbing his chest, you couldn’t help but admire the way his taught muscles felt under your delicate hands. You bit your lips as you rub the substance into his abs. God this guy was perfect. You were kneeling on your knees in front of him. When you realized how close your mouth was to his… to his…. well you know. Your furiously tried to hide how hot your face felt, you knew you must be turning red. After you had fished with his front you grabbed some more primer and began rubbing it into his shoulders. Then you froze. Your heart was beating in your ears. Did he just…did he just moan?
“Oh I’m sorry he said.” Realizing you had ceased your movements.
“That just felt really nice, your hands are so soft.” You were happy he couldn’t see your face cause it was on fire.
You cleared your throat.
“Um it’s okay.” You said quietly and resumed your work.
After applying the primer you spray painted his entire body all white. All that was left were the tattoos. He was a perfect canvas. After a while your nerves started to wane just a little, as you began feeling engrossed in your work. You completely lost your self to the designed you were applying to his skin. For moment you forget you were even working on him, so caught up in your zone of perfecting the tattoos. And just like that you were done. It has taken two hours to apply the fake ink, but it had felt like mere minutes.
“You’re all set.” You spoke to him.
You were about to step away when his hand caught your chin, making you gaze up into those baby blues. But they were different then when you first had locked eyes with them, these eyes were those of a mad mans.
“You’re so shy…” he purred out.
“I’ve always liked the shy ones.”
So this was the Joker.
“But you do great work, doll. You can call me Mr. J by the way.” He said with a cackle.
And with that he released you from his grip, slipped on his gray sweats and left you alone in the trailer.
You were packing up your touch up stuff when the door banged open causing you to jump, you looked over at it to see him completely in character and costume.
“Come on dolly. Shooting starts in five!” He said while shoving the remainder of your things into the bag.
He slung it over his shoulder and took you by the hand, dragging you out of the trailer. You couldn’t help the little smile that crept onto your face.
“Whenever I apply foundation on my dry skin it always looks dry and flaky. What’s the trick to preventing that? ”
Having dry skin I know the struggle of flaky, dry, unnatural looking foundation all to well and it’s something I used to constantly suffer from on a day to day basis. Luckily over time I’ve found a few cures to fixing flaky skin and making makeup look great.
Emily how the HECK do I put on makeup I wanna wear it but I'm so terrible at anything that isn't lipstick or mascara - ri
ahhh hello!!!! if you want to start wearing more makeup, i would say maybe try foundation and eyebrows!
for foundation, make sure you wear a good primer to protect your skin (elf blurring primer, maybelline blur and smooth primer, milk blur stick) and have a foundation that suits your skin type (oily, dry, combo)! some of my favorite ones are:
kat von d lock it foundation
maybelline fit me! foundation (i prefer matte and poreless)
revlon colorstay foundation
also i would use a blending sponge!!! while you are starting out i wouldn’t suggest splurging on a beauty blender, but the real techniques blending sponge works very well!!!
as for eyebrows, you could start straight with either a pencil or pomade! here are some of my faves:
anastasia brow wiz
anastasia dip brow pomade
nyx eyebrow pencil
elf eyebrow kit
(tip: cleaning up the brow with an angled brush and concealer can make ur brow look,,, sO sharp!!!)
