So, what can I say?
I feel very sad for the season to be over, because it’s been so emotional and amazing. I can’t describe how grateful I am, for all the times that I screamed, I cried and was over the moon for the competitions results. It’s something so unbelievably beautiful to have someone that gives you strenght, even when they’re far from you. I’m so moved right now, and I’m also so happy for this blog, creating it was one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made, thanks to this I have known a lot of people that I can share my passion with and this is simply wonderful!
I will miss this so much, I really feel like part of a family now!
So congratulations to all the athletes, to Stefan for winning the Crystal Globe because he truly deserved it and obviously everyone on the podium, and also to team Poland because it’s just crazy how attached I am to this team even tough I’m not polish.. that’s so amazing! I love these guys so much.
I’m probably getting boring, so again, thank you everyone, I have no more words ♡

HUGE Congratulations to Stefan Kraft for what can only be called a perfect season

not only have you become the OVERALL WORLD CUP WINNER

you have also become a double World Champion, making you the first Austrian to ever achieve that

you have won the Ski Flying World Cup

you have had an impressive podium streak, and 8 world cup wins

you have broken the world record with your 253,5 meter jump

you have shown time and time again that you are one of the best and it’s been a pleasure to watch you jump, it’s been a pleasure to watch you succeed and i can’t thank you enough for this wonderful season

Krafti, you’re the CHAMP

Bodyguard Tande

From Lukas Müllers FB:

Planica FIS World Cup Ski Jumping - a weekend where Daniel-André Tande helped me like a bodyguard to get down the stairs, where Andi Wellinger & Markus Eisenbichler bowed in front of me (what actually I wanted to do 😂) and especially - where I finally met my #wheeliebuddy Nick Fairall. What a special moment. We still love our sport like we did at day #1 😍✈ and of course @Krafti: you’re just incredible

Last Ski Jumping Competition, Stefan Kraft Takes three Awards in Planica

  1. Stefan Kraft won the final competition of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 2016/17 and also claimed the overall World Cup title and the Ski Flying World Cup title. The second and third place in the great finale on the Letalnica Ski Flying hill in Planica (SLO) went to Andreas Wellinger of Germany and Japan’s Noriaki Kasai.
  2. After 26 individual competitions this winter, Stefan Kraft wins the overall World Cup title for the first time in his career with 1665 points. The second place goes to 4-Hills-Tournament winner Kamil Stoch with 1534 points, Daniel Andre Tande of Norway is third with 1201 points.
  3. The victory in the Ski Flying World Cup also goes to Stefan Kraft with 445 points, followed by Andreas Wellinger (333 points) and Kamil Stoch (279 points). 25 years after he could win the Ski Flying World Championships title in Harrachov, Noriaki Kasai was fourth (230 points).
  4. For the first time in the history of Ski Jumping, Poland could win the Nations Cup. With 5833 points the team of head coach Stefan Horngacher came in ahead of Austria (5586 points) and Germany (5513 points).

Just imagine Stefan Kraft would not have been sick during 4ht: we would have won everything: raw air, both world championships competitions, overall world cup, ski flying world cup (and 4ht maybe)!
