So, after a few consecutive upsets over the last few weeks, things have started to fall into place.

As I said before, Dennis used his Suédois powers to order me a cell phone and it arrived just a couple of days ago. Here it is in all it’s glory:

As you may or may not know, the market for Androids here is very good. It may seem implausible to some Canadians, but Sony seems to take a pretty big lead in the market over here - AND to top it off - most Swedes have never even seen the mythological Blackberry.

To keep true to my blackberry origins, a keyboard was a must. We’ve all seen slide-out keyboards from LG, so that’s no biggie. I went for a very reasonable Sony Ericsson Experia sk17i with Gingerbread 2.3 operating system. It’s not the largest screen in the universe, but this baby pack a punch. Where some phones take the lead in screen size and other fancypants trickery, this phone actually has a pretty fast processor in it, rocking out at 1gHz which beats out a lot of popular competitors.

I’m still getting used to it, but for what it’s worth I love it.

As of yesterday I am also officially registered for SFI - Swedish for Immigrants. It will start near the end of February. The course is 4 hours per day, from 9am until 1pm and will likely go straight into summer. I’m hoping to maybe be able to get a part time job as well if possible within the next couple of months.

So all in all, things are looking up =) Once I actually find a job then things will be rolling for sure. I can’t wait until then.
