We are not dogs, cats, hamsters, horses are any other animal that has four legs. We DO NOT reward ourselves with FOOD! We are not on a “DIET!” It is a lifestyle change to a better you. How we think is how food became the center of importance and because we over indulged due to lack of discipline we have gained weight. Food is needed for fuel so why would you reward yourself with it. I can’t see the results of your weightloss from that chocolate cake you just treated yourself to. Really? We want results but we have to put in the work and stop doing things like this… Your reward system should be something you can see and show off like a pair jeans, a pair of shoes, a purse, etc. We use food as a reward because we think we missing out on something! Nah… You are not! The climb is easy when you let go of the old mindset! #SizeHealthy #wisdom #MondayMotivation #youniquefitness #mindset #selfsabotage #weightloss #blackwomenlosingweight #blackwomendoworkout #bggf (at

Tonight’s dinner is Falafel sand which. It is a deep‑fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. Falafel is a traditional Middle Eastern food, commonly served in a pita, which acts as a pocket! I added cucumbers, red cabbage, salsa, feta cheese and tomatoes. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋#SizeHealthy #cleaneating #healthychoices #vacation #nutrition Thank you Maoz Vegetarian!! Did some work this morning in the hotel! #MarchMuscleMadness in full effect!
March Challenge:
Many women do not strength train because they feel they will bulk up. This is a myth. Women do not have enough testosterone to bulk up like men without taking supplements that will assist in the process. Strength training has many benefits: makes you stronger, you will lose body fat, it improves strength and endurance without the bulk, decreases the risk of osteoporosis, decreases the risk of arthritis, decrease the risk of heart disease, decrease the risk of diabetes and you feel better about yourself overall. This month is #MarchMuscleMadness and we will be doing strength training 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). The first week we will be working on our legs. Use #MarchMuscleMadness to participate in the challenge!
Squats 4x15
Lunges 4x15 each leg
Donkey Kicks 4x15 each leg

It hasn’t been a sprint for me. It has been a long marathon but as long as I can run I will do it still God says stop. I attended the #HSR in September and I had my body fat read which was at the time 27%. It wasn’t bad but to me it wasn’t good. I’ve been working very hard and today I had my body fat percentage done and it is now 18%. It has taken me 6 months to get my body fat down 9%. My weightloss journey has been slow but I don’t regret any of it. #sizehealthy #myjourney #tbt #fitchick #personaltrainer #obesity #weightloss #blackwomenloseweight #blackwomenworkout #healthysistahsrock #movingforward #noexcuses #bggf #igotthis #fatloss (at

Family time on #vacation! #fun #lotsofwalking #SizeHealthy

When I started my journey it was hard. I wanted to quit and I got so frustrated. I was use to eating what I wanted and when I wanted. I drunk water but was it my drink of choice, NOoooo! There were A LOT of changes I had to make. I had to do it on my own too. I didn’t have accountability partners, I had to fall in LOVE with myself. I based everything off what I did and tried according to others success which turn out to be more of a struggle for me. The business’s that sell all those weight loss products don’t tell you about the mental chatter. They don’t tell you how many times you are going to want to give up because of the little to no progress you make in the beginning. All they tell you
Is how to lose weight fast while losing your mind all to lose 10, 20, 30lbs but oh wait what happens after I lose it. See, you lose it but you still don’t learn how to eat properly so that you can keep it off. Yup, been there and wrote a book about it. It’s so freaking frustrating, can someone please tell us the truth for once and for all. How do I lose weight? First you have to make a decision to do it and make a plan. Remember if you fail to plan you plan to fail and no I don’t mean I Wanna lose 50 lbs in 3 months. You must plan on starving yourself which there you have a failed plan. Start out small, like 10lbs in 30 days and if you don’t reach those 10lbs don’t give up but keep going. The problem is we set ourselves up for failure because we have a magical physical number in mind and miss out on all the mental changes that are taking place. OAN stop looking at all these skinny girls who don’t look like you or never looked like you and try to compare your journey to theirs. I heard someone say don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle or end. You don’t know what they had to go through to get where they are and truth be told some of you are not willing to go through the fire to get there. Stay in your lane and run your race; you will save yourself headache.

I love looking back to how far I have come. I took my first set of fitness pics in 2011 because I was developing my website yet still working on me. Then I took another set of fitness pics right before I left Hawaii in 2013. As you can see there is a lot more definition in 2 years time. It is not a sprint and progress happen when you stick to it. Hoping for my progress by the end of the year. #tbt #sizehealthy #youniquefitness #transformationpics (at
