A whole week of Hamilton-inspired lunches. Giant thanks to @linmanuel for writing the thing that’s been stuck in my head for months. It’s an inspiring piece of work and has gotten me back into Revolutionary War history for the first time since college.
The tag for my Hamilton food can be found here.
More information about each individual lunch can be found at:
B: 2 boiled eggs and a piece of toast
L: pizza, garlic bread and my sister’s incredible salad, followed by a slice of d1’s birthday-meringue-cake
D: (my dad hired a chef OMG it was amazing!!!) beef fillet, shell-on tiger prawns, roast butternut squash salad, rocket salad, bean chilli, sourdough bread with hummus, aioli and sour cream dips, all followed by lemon posset layered with blueberries
B: granola with yoghurt
L: out for a pub lunch, I had a seafood platter of prawns, crayfish, poached and smoked salmon for starter, followed by fish and chips
S: birthday cake
D: we were all so full still that we just nibbled on a few crisps, dips and leftover salad, then we drove back to our house and I felt a bit bingey. It’s that ~well I’ve had a great weekend eating all sorts and it’s about to end so let’s eat some more before it does~ feeling. So I ate some random nibbles like cheese and pb and probably some other stuff but I can’t remember.
The whole weekend was washed down continuously with copious amounts of prosecco, and all we did in between eating and drinking (and juggling small children) was lay around, nap, and sit in the hot tub.
So wonderful and still (still!) a novelty to be able to relax and just go with the flow of food. I sneakily did take my jar of pb, two graze box cartons, and bedtime chocolate, but they stayed in my bag all weekend. My dad even commented at Sunday breakfast about where was my peanut butter lol.

First things first, let me start by saying @bananablondie108 ’s Citrus Tahini salad dressing is AMAZING! I used it on the dressing for the salad and it tasted so damn good! Check it out, and make it. You will not regret it. It has a lovely gang of ginger that elevated it so much.
Anyways, I made my old Mac n Cheese recipe along with sautéed green beans and salad!
My sister helped with some chopping as well as sautéing the green beans! Before dinner I made an intense legs and abs workout that my sister and I did! We were dripping in sweat! If you guys are interested in the workout let me know and I’ll post it on my tumblr!
Green beans: white miso paste • garlic • lemon • crushed chilli flakes
Mac n cheese sauce: 2 cups almond milk • 2 tbs flour • heaping half cup nutritional yeast • juice from half a lemon • 2 tsp each of ( garlic powder, onion powder, basil) • 1 tsp chilli powder • 1 tsp of paprika
Just heat it all in a saucepan til thick n creamy! Top with fresh basil, more nooch, and toasted breadcrumbs if you desire!
Heads up, got loads of posts coming your way the next couple of days!
