When Prince Vincent Can't Stop Crying on His First Day of School, His Royal Mom Has the Magic Touch

No one is immune to back-to-school jitters — even royals.

On Tuesday, Denmark’s 6-year-old Prince Vincent posed for photos with his twin sister, Princess Josephine, and his parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, ahead of the twins’ first day at Tranegård School in Hellerup, Denmark.

And while Josephine was smiling with a red flower in her hair, ready to start her first day, her brother, who wore a blue button-down shirt and olive green shorts, seemed wary of the big transition.

During the official photo opp, the little prince’s eyes filled with tears. Luckily, mom was there to save the day, and bent down to comfort her son, giving him a hug and pep talk to reassure him.

All was well by the end, as Vincent wiped his tears away and managed a small smile for a family portrait. Missing were the twins’ older siblings Prince Christian (who is second in line to the throne after his father), 11, and Princess Isabella, 10.

Tears aside, we’re sure Vincent — and Josephine — will settle into their school days in no time!

You Understand Right? (Part 4): Broken Promises

Characters: Dean Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader, Sam Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader

Length: 989+ words

TW: Nothing in this chapter!

A/N: This is a pretty short chapter, but I wanted to split this chapter, and the next chapter up. Also, this is part of @kas-not-cas 2.5K Writing Challenge! Honestly, whenever I do challenges, I prefer writing a separate fic that’s not a part of a series, but it just went to so well with this chapter that I couldn’t help myself! I know I got your permission to use the Prompt in a series, but if you want me to write another oneshot separate, I can totes do that!

Prompt: “I’ve lost count of the promises you’ve broken.”

“Hey, sweetheart,” Dean greeted lowly as not to scare her.

Her gaze was stuck to the ground, her body not moving an inch.

“We’re not going to hurt you. Do you remember us?” Sam questioned kindly, bending his knees to meet her eyes.

She nodded slowly, looking unsure of her surroundings.

“You’re not in hell anymore,” Sam said comfortingly. “You’re safe with us.”

Y/N looked around the motel room, and finally opened her mouth. “Wh- What’s the date?” she croaked.

“It’s June 19th, 2015,” Sam answered.

The girl looked accepting of the fact that it has been nine years since her death.

“Here,” Sam quickly said, grabbing a water bottle from the table, and handing it to her. “You must be hungry. Dean, and I were just about to head back to the bunker.”

“The bunker?” Y/N asked with her head tilted to the side.

“Yea!” Sam’s face lit up as he continued talking about their new found residence. He chattered away about the bunker for a few minutes until Dean interrupted him.

“Let’s get you some food before we leave.” There wasn’t any trace of emotions in his voice, his face as stoic as ever.

Y/N looked down at her bloody clothes, and before she could say anything, Dean had already gone through his bag, pulling a pair of shirt, flannel, and sweatpants for her to wear.

“Get changed, and then we’ll head out,” Dean instructed.

As she was in the bathroom, the two brothers turned to each other.

You Understand, Right? (Part 5): And Broken Hearts

Characters: Dean Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader, Sam Winchester x Sister!Reader / Friend!Reader

Length: 1665+ words

TW: Nothing in this chapter!

A/N: I’ve been considering writing a sister chapter to this one in Y/N’s perspective, but I’m not sure if I have time. Plus, you guys are getting so many fics from me this month lol… We’ll see. I’m pretty swamped with other stuff so I make no promises… Hahaha get it?… Yea, I’m lame.

Dean didn’t follow her, too shocked at her words. He sat down on the edge of his bed thinking about what in the world would make her say such things. He just stared at the floor of his room. Her words ringing inside his brain as he tried to make sense of it. Of everything.

“I understand, Dean.”

“You and Sam need each other… But you don’t need me.”

“I’ve lost count of the promises you’ve broken.”

“What the hell?” he mumbled, massaging his temple. “What is she talking about?”

Dean remembered making only two promises to her in his lifetime. He promised to take care of her, and be there for her. This was the promise he made with everyone he ever cared about. Anyone who knew Dean knew that he would always be there for them when they needed help.

He knew from a young age not to make promises he couldn’t make. John lectured him for hours after he once promised a kid that they would save his mom. They lost the mom to the werewolf. His dad was livid- not only because they lost another life, but because he had given this kid hope. Ever since then, Dean didn’t make promises he couldn’t keep. And he was sure that Y/N knew he would never break a promise if he could help it. Not that she’s ever asked him to make any promises. There were only two cases where she had asked him to promise her something.

“Dean, look! I got a part in the play!” Y/N said excitedly, showing him the piece of paper with her name on it.

“Yea?” He peered over, flashing her a proud grin. “Good job, squirt!”

“You’re gonna come see it, right?”

“Of course!” He ruffled her hair before going back to his homework.

“Promise?”

“Promise,” he said, not even looking up from his math problem.

Dean swallowed thickly as he realized that he didn’t show up to her play, choosing to attend Sam’s spelling bee instead.

It was a couple of days later when Dean had just gotten ready for bed, his eyes closed in hopes for a couple of hours of sleep when Y/N knocked on his door softly, opening the frame, and calling his name at the same time.

At the sound of her voice, Dean all but leaped into alertness. “Y/N? What’s wrong? Are you okay?”

She didn’t say anything as she made her way to his bed, sitting on the space he left with her legs crossed. She ignored his watchful gaze as she chewed on her lips. No words could describe her time in hell, but she knew she needed to accept the memory. Without realizing it her breathing became shallower, and just as Dean opened his mouth, she burst into tears.

“Oh, sweetheart.” Dean’s heart ached at the sound of her cries. He circled his arms around her, and pulled her against his chest, his legs resting around her figure. “It’s okay. I’m here. Nothing’s gonna hurt you anymore, you hear?” Tears were stinging his eyes as she cried even louder, despair and grief in every teardrop. He had to physically bite his bottom lip to stop himself from crying as well. “Let it all out, sweetheart. I’m here. I’m not going anywhere.” Dean drew small circles on her bottom hip, his other hand stroking the back of her hair.

It felt like hours later, and it probably was when Y/N had finally stopped completely crying. She sniffled continuously, using the collar of her shirt to clean up the mess on her face.

“I’m gonna get you a glass of water,” Dean said, seeing her finally calming down.

Y/N scrambled to grab his arm, shaking her head, pleading for him not to leave her.

“I won’t be long,” he promised.

Inquisition Fic

I want a fic that focuses on the Advisers and their relationships.

Cullen and Josephine bickering about Ferelden and it’s dogs.

Leliana threatening any of the Orlesians that send marriage contracts to Cullen and won’t take no for an answer.

Leliana and Josephine surprising each other about new shoes.

Leliana and Josephine treating Cullen like their little brother (I’m convinced he’s actually the youngest of the three, although he’s maybe lived a harder life), messing with his hair, poking fun at his fur mane, but no one else is allowed to.

Cullen grouchily relating tales of all the internal politics of the Templar Order when he surprises Josie with some really clever diplomatic move.

Leliana quietly compiling a list of all the people Cullen helped in Kirkwall, helping him replace the list of dead in his mind with other things.

Leliana and Josephine sitting drinking tea. No one ever interrupts them. For anything.

Josephine bringing the others special Antivan treats.

Leliana and Josephine discussing the lives of bards.

Cullen telling Leliana about what Alistair got up to in Templar training and letting her mail the king about said stories.

Leliana and Josephine dragging tales out of Cullen about social events in Kirkwall he visited as a high ranking member of the Order when Meredith wouldn’t go.

Josephine and Leliana causally gossiping about the latest scandal in Orlais as Cullen mumbles under his breath about ridiculous nobles on the other side of the War Table.

Just…. the advisers.

“I understand if you want me to leave,” Y/N mumbled against his chest, her grip on his jacket loosening itself.

“Leave? Leave where?” Dean asked, confused at her words.

“I betrayed your trust. I didn’t believe you. I nearly gave the Colt to Crowley! You have a million and one reasons to hate me!”

“Hey, none of that,” Dean rebutted sharply. “I told you when you left that I would never hate you. You’re family, and nothing will change that.”

“Okay.”

“C’mon. Let’s go back to the motel.” Dean helped her to get on her feet, letting her lean on him for support before stabilizing herself. “You good?”

“Yea.” She kept a hand around his elbow for support as they made the short trip back to their motel room.

When they went back in, Sam was just putting on his shirt, his jeans already on, and his hair still wet from the shower.

“Where’d you guys go?” he asked, before his gaze settling on Y/N’s bruised neck. “What the hell? What happened?” In two giant steps, he was in front of her, a gentle had lifting her head to examine her blue-tinted skin.

“I stole the Colt,” Y/N replied.

“What? Why would you do that?” Sam’s eyes widened in shock.

“I stole it for Crowley. He said he needed it.”

The youngest Winchester took three steps backwards, as if her skin was fire that burned his skin.
