Hi there! Please like or reblog this if you would like to RP with a Simon blog from 20th Century Fox and Bagdasarian Production’s Alvin and the Chipmunks. The starters will vary in length may be spaced out a bit, but I will get to most of them. I can also IM you if you’d like so we can plot something together. Just send me an IM or inbox me to let me know!
Joslyn sang into the microphone, chocolate colored hues staring out into the crowd of unidentifiable faces before her. Ombre hair framed her face as she closed her eyes, letting the notes of the song sweep through her.
The lyrics fell from her smoothly, the sound of her airy vocals filling the room. The nerves she’d felt before climbing on stage were still with her but had manifested into calming sway of her hips. As the music continued her voice grew louder, the sound coming from her almost as piercing as the look in her eyes. The sway of her hips continued until she and the music both came to an abrupt stop. Tossing the mic back to the singer she’d borrowed it from Joslyn was off the stage almost as quickly as she’d stormed it. Armed with nothing but a excited smile as she approached a certain face in the crowd with an arm extended.
For a mezzo-belt like herself, Melody knew shows like Grease were perfect for her – when the music was more rock ‘n roll based, with no crazy high operatic soprano notes. This, plus the fact that “doing more theatre” was a part of her New Year’s Resolutions, was really what compelled Melody to do Grease. She had her heart set on Sandy, but knew it was unlikely that she’d get another lead role right after Into the Woods, so she’d have gladly settled for Marty or Frenchy, or – if Levi thought she was right for it – even Rizzo. Though, she wasn’t sure she could’ve pulled it off. Still, with auditions only a few days away, Melody chose a very Sandy-esque song (just in case), that had been in the back of her mind since auditions were announced. Easy to be Hard was basically the sixties version of Hopelessly Devoted to You, and Melody’s loud voice let the entirety of the Pride Rock Theatre know it as she practiced in one of their rehearsal rooms. Mid-belt, a sharp knock on the door caused Melody to jump and shut up instantly. “Sorry, was I being too loud?” she instinctively asked before even bothering to open the door.
“Please,” Johnny’s voice shuttered. The boy sounded on edge as he sniffled. He took a deep quivering breath before he spoke, rocking his posture. “S-somethin’ bad’s ‘appened, please. If you ‘ear this, c-call me back. I need someone, i-immediately.” His voice broke right before the voicemail ended.
Johnny had called all of his friends, but none had answered. He assumed Rosita was busy with her family, or Ash couldn’t hear over her guitar, or even Mike was too busy doing god knows what, along with Meena, Buster…
Fingers danced across the keys of the piano as she sang along to ‘Gravity’ by Sara
But you’re neither friend nor foe though I can’t seem to let you go, the one thing that I still know is that you’re keeping me down..” Ariel sang along, too focused on singing to notice anyone, until finally finishing the song and chewing on her lip as she placed the portable piano down and subconsciously fiddled with her necklace.
