see this movie. bring a friend. bring all your friends. bring every single solitary person who has been beaten down and dragged through the mud with this absolute hell of a year. watch it twice. I am being as serious as i can be.
because yes. 2016 has been pure, concentrated hell from the moment it started. And in a year with NO positives, NO hope at times, and morale lower than I have ever seen it….
this movie is a bright, shining beacon of hope that says yes. things are broken. get up and sing anyway.
this is the most positive movie I’ve ever seen. It shows six characters hit rock bottom, then hit LOWER than that, and then rise from the ashes and go you know what? we are all that we need. let’s sing anyway, even if no one is watching. I went into the theater a wreck, still mourning the loss of my idol and hero Carrie Fisher, and finally just broken from how horrible the year’s been to me, and I left the theater singing and dancing and the happiest I’ve been in MONTHS. It says that failure happens, even if you give it more than your all. but if you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is UP. that is the way to close this year, you guys. Yes, we’ve hit bottom.
Woooops~ my hand slipped again and cleaned this doodle I did a few days ago :3
This is a Mama Bares reference btw, here is the video I used for this pic [X]and if you don’t have motivation to see the link, let me tell you that we have Deedee Magno Hall (Pearl) and Jennifer Paz (Lapis) singing in there *runz*
Words can’t express how proud I am of Chanyeol, this really has been such a year of growth for him and him finally coming out of his shell and showing us what he’s capable of, what we knew he had hidden in him all along. For those who don’t know about Chanyeol and the endless nights and days off he spends in his studio just writing songs and composing, how he’s always wanted to be a musician n the deepest sense of the word, how he created a soundcloud just to share his music with fans and let us hear his voice– this boy loves making music more than anything else and he rarely get’s opportunities to showcase that. This year, however, he sang on a live for the first time with Chen on Sugarman, he collaborated with Far East Movement, and today he got his first korean ost release with Punch. These are baby steps, but they’re steps nonetheless. I hope that Chanyeol can keep growing and getting more opportunities to show us what we all know he’s capable of.
If you guys haven’t already please check out Chanyeol and Punch’s new ost for “Goblin” PCY stans have been waiting so long to get the chance to hear him sing with his soulful voice. Please show him more love and support so Chanyeol singing can become a normal thing, not a once in a lifetime chance.
Okay, I get most of the fandom is not happy with Heroes of Olympus, and a lot of people like to pretend that saga never happened, but here is a fact: with all its flaws, most of the main characters of Heroes of Olympus are POC. A lot of people saw their representation on this saga, so please, let’s stop saying “let’s pretend this saga never existed” because it’s here and it’s giving representation. 4 out the seven main characters are POC. Reyna, who also had a huge part on the saga, is also a POC and Nico is gay. I understand people are not happy with this saga, but please don’t wish it never existed.
