Sooo, I can safely, 95% sure say that my game is fixed!
After spending 3 days trying to figure out what the problem was and literally trying everything I saw online and that I could think of, the fix turned out to be so simple that if I would have stumbled upon the right thread when I started to have problems, it would have been fixed in 5 minutes haha. But live and learn!:D
So I decided to make a post in case anyone is having the same issue, you never know!
So if you have dual graphics cards (that is, an integrated one like the Intel ® HD Graphics 4000 that I have, and an NVIDIA card as well for example) and your sims are crashing due to Insufficient Graphics (download the Crash Log Analyzer if you don’t have it already) after installing an EP (it was PETS for me but you never know!) and you have tried the following but hasn’t work:
·Starting your game through right click >Run with Graphics Processor > High-Performance NVIDIA Graphics
·Launching your game through the GE Force Experience
·Going into NVIDIA Control Panel and switching the ts3.exe file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin), as well as all of the EP’s you have (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Pets\Game\Bin and then the file that says TS3EP05) to “2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program > High Performance NVIDIA processor”
·Reinstalling all of your games (God knows I did haha)
·Doing a clean install of your NVIDIA drivers
THEN TRY THIS!
AND JUST LIKE THAT, FIXED!!!!!!
I was able to have pets in my household after trying this, without the game crashing (:
I did try to make a sim move from one house to another through the phone and it did crash, but moving them from the Edit Town worked just fine so good enough for me!:D
Thank you so much to jazinga and saskiiaa33, along with all the others that provided links etc, thank you so much for caring and trying to help you guys are awesome :)
