A fan musical of the book Carry On by Rainbow Rowell using songs from many musicals (and a few non-musical songs). Each song is annotated with a quote or reference to the book to demonstrate where in the book the song is taking place. Sadly, the annotations are not available on mobile. :( (Please suggest any songs and/or quotes you feel need to be added!) Incredible cover art by @ddoale ! Go check out their blog; their art is fantastic and they are a really cool person!! (And so talented!!! Like holy s m o k e s)
Since the songs have annotations that don’t show up on mobile, I’ll put them under the cut! Hope you enjoy!!
Being the first boss of the Vongola, a family founded for the soul purpose of helping the people, he is everything you would not expect from a mafia boss. He’s caring, loyal, forgiving, and always thinking the best of others. His friendship with Cozart Simon is strong enough to last centuries, and their respect for each other is just simply too immense to be put into words. His will lives on within the Vongola ring of the sky, and he would always be there when Tsuna needs him. He’s always composed and calm, like he would be able to lead his famiglia through the most impossible and desperate situations.
And his eyes. My god, his eyes. How does one even explain those piercing yet comforting eyes?
In this world, there are countless supervillians and superheroes. Epic battles rage across the globe, the fight between good and evil, the fight between light and dark, it never seems to be able to end.
This story focuses on two young boys who work in a company that specialises in cleaning up after battles. They are Tsuna and Enma, and they are very tired of cleaning up after everyone’s mess. Their company is in charge of evacuation, cleaning up, insurance, etc. Tsuna and Enma rotate jobs, but they are always assigned to the same place (because they work really efficiently together).
Point #1: They have superpowers as well. Tsuna is the brother of the Sky Guardian, and Enma is the brother of the Earth Guardian. They just use their powers to make cleanup faster because they really don’t want to take part in the whole superhero thing.
Point #2: The CEO of their company, AKA their boss, is ex-superhero Lal Mirch. When the famous superhero team Arcobaleno went their separate ways, Lal decided to open set up the company.
Point #3: Tsuna and Enma hate both superheros and supervillians alike. They even hate their brothers, but only for a short while (every time after Vongola and/or Shimon just finish a battle with a supervillain) .
Point #4: Tsuna and Enma are some of the few people in the world able to easily link supers to alteregos. They think it’s common sense (i.e. the Shimon and Cozart Simon). The rest of the world disagree.
Point #5: They do not take any shit from supers either.
A few days I rebloged a post about the khr fandom and the problem about the variation on fics. Especially about the 400 years ago generation meeting thing right. Well I had this horrible horrible idea for a variation of this fic and I am so damn sorry for it.
Tsunayoshi was send into the past and he arrives just in time to see Daemon joining the vongola, he doesn;t introduce himself to the family instead decides to join it. Hiding his ring and faking to just be any other boy angry with the police and goverment asks to join and he’s accepted, he’s just any other boy at the mansion, he’s in charge of bringing primo’s tea and giving messages to the guards, wich is a good way to find if there’s any way to go back or if there’s any sign of his friends coming into the past to rescue him.
He’s surprised to see the family as how it used to be before, and he understands just how close they are and how it is so different from the present Vongola. He starts to enjoy his stay there because he can learn so much new stuff but then the time for the attack to the family to happen, the one where Elena dies and Daemon decides to bring glory to the vongola.
He hides himsefl while the whole fight is happening, by mere luck he finds himself close to Elene when it is happening and he decides to just watch at the life changing moment, the reason of everything that happened with the Vongola in future generations.
But then he notices the fight is almost over and she’s still alive, he can feel Daemon coming this way but there’s no enemy close to kill her, no one to do it and he get worried.
If She doesn’t die Daemon won’t have any grudge againt the vongola, he won’t betray the Simon family, Giotto and Cozart won’t make a promise to the Vindice, the present Simon and Vongola won’t hate each other, his ring won’t break and it won’t be upgraded, he won’t fight against Daemon and won’t get stronger, Mukuro won’t be free from vindicare and when the time comes to fight againts chekered face he won’t be strong enough, he won’t be able to save everyone, he will fail.
And he feels Daemon closer, he hears the enemies runing away and he watches as Elena smiles, sure that this is all over, that she’s safe. And he knows, he knows she can’t live, that she can’t have a happy ending.
I loved how this chapter ended. But damn it, now it needs to be next week already. First off, Daemon’s rape faces made me LOL. He’s such a creeper. I hate him. And I hope he gets his ass kicked. But anyway, Yamamoto’s Vongola Gear wasn’t that bad, but I didn’t really expect a necklace for him.
There wasn’t a whole lot of panels for Tsuna in this chapter, which kind of bummed me out. But I guess it was to be expected. He’s not the main focus right now. </3 Tsuna…
BUT HOLY CRAP, G. GOD DAMN IT, the last two pages made me squeal. The first generation guardians all looked so bad-ass. G was so awesome looking on the last spread, and when he was taking off the cloak. <3 For the lack of Tsuna, G totally made up for it. And angry-looking Lampo too. But fuck, G was too awesome. <3 Primo had some nice expressions too, in his panels.
So, now we know that the Vongola DID come to aid Simon. I wonder how Daemon’s going to react now after seeing this “execution of his plan.”
