simba's voice!

The Lion King remake has casted everyone’s favorite blerd, Donald Glover as the voice of Simba! To add to the excitement it has also been confirmed that James Earl Jones will reprise the role of Mufasa! This will no doubt excited fans that grew up with the original while bringing in an entire new generation. If it’s anything like the live action take on The Jungle Book then I truly can’t wait to see how this unfolds!

Name: Skyler “Nymph” Avia

Age: 11

Cabin: 7

Aw man I’m finally here! That flight was hell on my wings carrying the stupid satchel… anyway, hey! I’m Skyler Avia, prince of the Tree Nymphs, but you can call me Nymph is ya want! I’m only 11 years old and already the best scavenger in my entire kingdom~! And I’ll be the best one here in no time, too. Just watch me!

I hope I meet some people here, it gets boring only talking to other nymphs! Now where are those things called “marshmallows” I hear so much about?

[Voice Grab: Simba- The Lion King]

No but just. XY cast singalong movie nights feat. The Pyroar King.

Nearly everyone tries to convince Lysandre to voice Scar because he could do a goddamn terrifying Be Prepared. He insists on voicing Simba instead, and thus the very amused kids are treated to the sight of Lysandre standing on the sofa singing I Just Can’t Wait To Be King, also featuring Calem as Zazu. (They’re also amused when Sycamore promptly casts himself as Nala. They’re slightly grossed out in an, “Ewwww, mushy stuff!” when they get to Can You Feel The Love Tonight. There are much pointed clearings of throats.)

Serena and Shauna promptly team up to be Timon and Pumbaa. They do a cracking Hakuna Matata with Lysandre, and Shauna’s luau is the stuff of legends.

Diantha does the most goddamn terrifying Be Prepared known to humanity.

And Lys still totally cries at Mufasa’s death.

Chris walked towards a blonde woman standing at the far end of the bar counter and handed her a daiquiri with a mischievous smile on his face.

-Thank you. –She said with a flirty grin.

He stared at her from head to toe, knowing that he was only one drink away from getting lucky. He narrowed his eyes. Marjorie, Felicity, Angie? The blonde’s name didn’t matter anymore. All he could do was glance at her massive cleavage whenever she was distracted and as he took another sip of beer.

His cell phone started vibrating in his pocket. When he finally took it out and looked at the screen, he furrowed his eyebrows.

-I gotta take this. Give me a minute.

The blonde nodded with worried expression and he walked past her, headed towards the door.

-Simba? –He said standing outside of the bar. –Hello? I can’t hear you!–He raised his voice.

5 Reasons Why ’90s Kids Should be Excited for The Lion Guard

The Lion Guard is set to premiere on Disney Channel Sunday, November 22! It’s follows Simba and Nala’s second born, Kion, as he readies for his destiny and assembles the new Lion Guard; but Kion breaks with tradition, not only only including lions in the guard but also friends whom he believes are the fiercest, bravest, and strongest in the land. Now, you might be saying to yourself, “I’m an adult human, why should I tune in to this?” Well, if you were born in that magical decade, the ’90s, and you grew up with The Lion King, you’ll definitely want to watch. Here’s why:

1. James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella are reprising their roles of Mufasa and Pumbaa respectively.

Yes, you read that right. Lightning can indeed strike twice. (In case you’re wondering how Mufasa is going to appear in the show since it takes place years after the events in The Lion King, he’ll be there in ghost-cloud form, presumably to lay some truth on whomever is in need of it.)

2. Nala and Simba are in the show.

Gabrielle Union will voice Nala and Rob Lowe voices Simba. We don’t know about you, but we’ve always wanted to know what happens after our favorite movies end. Well, now we can find out!

3. Multiple adorable animals.

The Education and Science experts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom serve as consultants, advising on the characteristics, behaviors and habitats of the African animal species featured. These include Bunga, a honey badger, Fuli, a cheetah, Besthe, a hippo, and Ono, an egret.

4. Kion has a mohawk.

Mohawk’s were very popular in the ’90s and we remember them fondly. Lion really pulls off this look and instantly endears himself to us without even speaking.

5. There will be songs.

Composer Beau Black has signed on as singer/songwriter, so we are prepared for some epic numbers on the Pride Lands.
