Monsta X as Hosts (Thank You Post for 400 Followers!)

I’m referring to host clubs in Japan (and I think Korea)  where there is a place you can go to where there’s a handsome male staff who are there to make you comfortable, relieve your stress, and give you a “boyfriend” experience (flattery, pampering and perhaps even flirting). I feel like hosts are playboys, so I’ll try my best not to make them sound that way, but if it does, my apologies.

Host Club Name: The Black Cat

Welcome! I am Mochi, the director of The Black Cat and we hope we can help you relax and de-stress with our handsome staff! Here are their descriptions… But don’t be fooled by their looks!

Shownu, or “The Silver King” -

This straightforward host will guide you from the entrance to his special part of the grande room. Every part is decorated ever so elegantly, from the couches and tables, to the wall decorations and dividers to spend time with your one and only. The moment he lays his eyes on his guest, he’ll give of an aura of a king, a leader that the other hosts look up to him. He calls chooses to be silver rather than gold due to the reason that he doesn’t feel satisfied with his performance, but he doesn’t let the others know. Shownu will cater to guest as much as possible, whether it’d be treats, requests (to an extent) and special treatment to his regulars. Very respectful and aware of his customer’s preferences, so he’d have the best memory with that. He’d tease a little but when it comes to intimate moments, he’ll break out of character and apologize, but all the more reason to fall for Shownu. A genuine, gentle, mysterious and captivating host will surely keep his guests on their toes.

Wonho, or “Mr. Sex Appeal” -

Oh, boy. Though Wonho can be bunny literally seeping cheesiness and compliments to his guests, Wonho can be another person just like Minhyuk. While he guides you to his area of the grand room, he could sense that his guest a bit uncomfortable (or so he thinks). With every drop of sexiness this host can have, he’ll hold their hand or bring them close to him so they could share an intimate moment together. Wonho has that oozing sex appeal about him where he has to walk them to the exit without falling or fainting. Oh, dear. But if anything, Wonho wants them to feel relaxed and come often (not just for the paychecks) so he could also learn more about his guests’ problems and work them out while they’re with him. With Wonho’s seductive yet considerate ways, he’ll make them forget about their stress. Hyungwon and Kihyun decide all the outfits they wear each day, and it’s no surprise that Wonho would wear something…uh… provocative every other day, especially at night.

Minhyuk, or “The Ambiguous Heart Stopper” -

Okay. Okay. Minhyuk. Lord. His name was created through his guests who are nervous every single time they visit him. The reason being is that there’s no indication or forecast of when he’s flirtatious and alluring or innocent and charming. He makes his guests feel “attacked” because of how much he gets into character, teasing and playing with his guests (jokingly), but he’s not the type to be a playboy or lead them on in any way. Minhyuk simply likes to make his guests feel satisfied and energetic when they’re time is up so he knows he left a lasting impression on them. When he becomes sexy, he’ll take it far to where he’ll have them laying on the couch and he’s hovering above them, getting close to their face, lips almost touching. He’ll give off an amorous vibe but nonetheless wants to make his guests feel special and not believe that all of them are grouped together. Minhyuk, as a host, wants to have a distinguishable relationship with each and every one of them.

Kihyun, or “The Guy Who’s Either Sexy or Cheesy; There’s No in Between” -

Exactly as his nickname states. Sir Host Kihyun is willing to pull out all the stops and give his guests an experience they won’t forget. Size and appearances don’t matter, it’s the way he treats his clients that count: he treats them like royalty. Making small actions and services, like on-the-house desserts and doing requests like touching their hair or winks. But boy, the moment he flips that switch he becomes Jesus. Okay maybe not Jesus, but a hotter, sexier, Korean version of him. He’ll tease his guests with new information about The Black Cat, giving tiny hints about the renovations, updates, or new services they’re going to provide. It’s not about being a stress-reliever: it’s about giving the guests something to remember for the rest of their lives. We don’t know what, but Kihyun is going to deliver that information via teasing and whispering… Thanks. Smirks, singing, and kissing their hand, Kihyun’s got it all. By the end of the day, he’s the most tired.

Hyungwon, or “The Anime Prince” -

Literally no one knows how he got his looks from his parents, but hey, he’s also doing well at his job. Too well. He likes to crack jokes with his guests, lightening up the mood whenever he can and tends to go out of his way to bring the food and drinks over to them. If they want, Hyungwon will feed them and play the Pocky game, ohoho. But nonetheless, he just acts this way in the day and when it comes to night time, he’ll act more… affectionate. Arm around their shoulder, bringing them close, and telling them compliments all night long. He’s respectful and gentle, like a real prince. It’s hard for people to even believe he’s a real person because he absolutely wants to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable as much as possible, even asking Kihyun across the room to do some errands for him. They all have their own sectors in the building, but Hyungwon’s the best! Velvet couch with throw pillows and a coffee table with candles and dessert– it’s difficult to turn him down.

Jooheon, or “Captain Attention” -

This particular hosts feeds off of your attention. Not that it’s a bad thing, after all, he is a host, so why not? He will devote his undivided attention toward his guests, and often notices their discomfort when they come for the first time, so Jooheon will break the ice by talking about his passions, but not too much where the atmosphere revolves around him. At times Jooheon will ask about his guests, mentally noting down what they like and don’t like, so he could show how considerate he can be and improve his work the next day and in the future. Certain days of the week he’s more than willing to give a show, impress his audience, and by the end of it, more customers come by and turn into his regulars. Oh, right. If you are his regular, Jooheon will more than likely treat you like his significant other, always wanting the best for you. He’ll take it even further to bring them close to his face, lips almost touching. But he knows his boundaries and make sure it doesn’t get out of hand.

I.M, or “Innocent by Day, Seductive by Night” -

Basically, his clients will have to visit him based on the time of day. The youngest host of the group, Changkyun everyone. When he’s more of the angelic boyfriend, he’ll make his clients feel like they don’t deserve him (well, he doesn’t know that) and compliment them whenever they’re down. He’s supportive and independent himself. One of the most reliable hosts, he tends to do everything himself, from greeting the guests to managing where he works and the food that’s cooked here. Shall anything go wrong during his interactions, he actually reacts quickly and comes up with solutions instantly. His thinking is rather different from what one may think because he’s creative and thinks outside the box. But when the day turns into night, Changkyun becomes I.M. He’s becomes flirtatious and seductive, whispering into the visitor’s ears about how much they mean to him. He’ll even bring their foreheads together, but would be more gentle than Minhyuk, who is basically producing heart attacks by the second.

Can I convince

that K project

is so

I always kind of laugh when people get into the “Susan’s treatment is proof that C.S. Lewis was a misogynist” thing, because:

Polly and Digory. Peter and Susan. Edmund and Lucy. Eustace and Jill.

Out of the eight “Friends of Narnia” who enter from our world, the male-to-female character ratio is exactly 1/1. Not one of these female characters serves as a love interest at any time.

The Horse and His Boy, the only book set entirely in Narnia, maintains this ratio with Shasta and Aravis, who, we are told in a postscript, eventually marry. Yet even here, the story itself is concerned only with the friendship between them. Lewis focuses on Aravis’ value as a brave friend and a worthy ally rather than as a potential girlfriend–and ultimately, we realize that it’s these qualities that make her a good companion for Shasta. They are worthy of each other, equals.

In the 1950s, there was no particularly loud cry for female representation in children’s literature. As far as pure plot goes, there’s no pressing need for all these girls. A little boy could have opened the wardrobe (and in the fragmentary initial draft, did). Given that we already know Eustace well by The Silver Chair, it would not seem strictly necessary for a patently ordinary schoolgirl to follow him on his return trip to Narnia, yet follow she does–and her role in the story is pivotal. Why does the humble cab-driver whom Aslan crowns the first King of Narnia immediately ask for his equally humble wife, who is promptly spirited over, her hands full of washing, and crowned queen by his side? Well, because nothing could be more natural than to have her there.

None of these women are here to fill a quota. They’re here because Lewis wanted them there.

Show me the contemporary fantasy series with this level of equality. It doesn’t exist.
