Played 40K at the shop again on Saturday but didn’t get many photos taken. The place was busy with a MtG pre-release so it wasn’t very easy to get up and get around the table for pics.
This time we went up to 100 power level a side with two players on each side.
An odd game in that we (Silver Skulls Primaris and old school Ultramarines) almost got tabled after four turns - sole survivors a Gravis Captain on 1W, a Techmarine, and a Whirlwind that was sitting on our table edge - yet won 6-3 on the objectives. We used what I think are the Tactical Objective Cards and to be perfectly honest the random objective draws were very, very kind to us. When you have two units in low orbit awaiting the opportunity to deep strike and a random card says “have at least one unit in the opponents deployment zone at the end of your turn to score 1 point” you know it’s going to be your day…
I now have 48 points of painted Primaris, and only have the Primaris jet pack troops to paint and I’m not sure I fancy doing them. Chaos next as I’m fed up with painting silver.
