The slight rumbling you feel on the floor when you sit in front of the percussion
the sound of the orchestra tuning, and you already feel your heart beating faster from a simple concert A
The low chatter of anticipation from the audience before the performance
Music torn at the edges with pencil writings scrawled all over the notes, a testament to somebody's time and passion
The feeling of playing a piece memorized; not just thinking about the notes but letting the music and your fingers work their magic
The bright reflective lights on the keys of woodwinds and brass in the shining concert lights
When a person is so into the music that they start to dance and become a fluid structure, free and unbridled and emotional
The feeling you get when you are in concert black with all of your friends, kind of like being a blurry smoke cloud in the night that moves together, breathes together, and performs together
when the string players are so into their music that their bow hairs start to fray and unravel and it's a mess of blurry lines moving like liquid silver
the conductor's arms, especially in staccato/scherzo moments, where movement is light and graceful and just there, showing its presence but not forcing it on
The adrenaline rush of playing a solo in a piece and the honor of standing up after it ends, where you have those few seconds just for you and only you
The last note ringing around the air and the heavy, almost tangible silence which occurs for a microsecond afterwards
in an effort to bring lots of goodies to sell and give away for CTNx, I’ll be focusing all my efforts in producing art from here until the 16th when I leave for burbank. :D I figured selling warrior ladies inspired by the different zodiac signs would be a pretty cute idea! starting off with Aries. not sure if I’ll keep it all medieval themed or if I should branch out into other eras or locations…
commissions will slow down a little again (I’M SORRY!!! I feel so bad delaying work like this, I really do), but I really don’t want the bulk of my stufff to be fanart (don’t wanna get in trouble, plus I gotta bring original stuff too!), so I really have to do this. I will be planning out my days ahead and will hopefully be able to address my clients for this current batch :) After CTNx is over I will be back to normal, I won’t have anything else urgent in my schedule for a long time to come.
thank you thank you to everyone who is in line for a commish and is patient with me. <3 I have gone from 0 to 20 to 100 art-wise reaaal quick these past few months and while they have been amazing, I still have some planning and discipline issues I need to get in order.
Both hands are in Y hand shapes. They are locked in front of
the face as if two heads that have horns that are the pinkies and index
fingers. They move as if they are clashing and fighting. Both hands may move
forward while being signed. Do not forget non-manual markers that describe the aggressive clash through showing teeth and squinting eyes.
