‘You’re just so good at everything,’ I sighed, giving up after ten minutes of Heather trying to explain multiplying fractions. ‘I don’t think I’ll ever understand math as good as you do.’
Heather blushed. ‘Oh please,’ she said, starting to gather her stationery and books. ‘I had a hard time learning it as well.’
‘Yes, but you did learn it in the end!’ I picked up my stuff as well, quickly shoved it in my bag and stood up. ‘Guess I won’t be passing that upcoming math test then. Oh well.’
‘Of course you’ll pass it.’ Heather gave me a pat on the shoulder. ‘You just need to believe in myself.’
I rolled my eyes while leaving the building and entering the sunshine.
