At first, this group name was not called Goosehouse. It was named PlayYou.House. The group itself was a project from Sony Walkman “Play You”. They had their own tagline “Ongaku wo Aisu nakama-tachi no Share house”, which means “Share the love of music with friends”. These Singer-songwriters gathered and did music together in a Sharehouse. These activities were mainly focused with internet. They have also done real time twitter contact since then with the hashtag #PYHouse

These are the members from PlayYou.House Season 1 (19th June 2010 - 21st August 2010).

Their main concept was to do a USTREAM LIVE once a week. They had their own “theme” for each season. They did the UST LIVEs in a place that had a feeling of “home”, where everyone gathered together and shared the music they loved to others.

PlayYou.House Season 2 was started October 10th, 2010 until the March 26th, 2011. These UST LIVEs aired once every 2 weeks. Here are the members of Season 2:

On December 18th, 2010, PlayYou.House did their first Live Performance.

They also sold their original goods here and their debut CD: Sing

And then in April 2011, the name PlayYou.House was changed into Goosehouse. Their first USTREAM LIVE was on the 7th of May 2011. The members were:

They changed the name to “Goosehouse” because all the members were very noisy and similar to the sound that was made by a goose.
The popular hashtag #goose7 was formed because the current number of members in Goosehouse was 7 people.  Even now, they still use the hashtag #goose7.

That is how Goosehouse was formed.

Then, on October 1st 2011, Manami joined Goosehouse. And two weeks after that, Sayaka also joined Goosehouse.
On December 10th 2011, Kimura Masahide graduated from Goosehouse.
On the May 27th 2012, Saito Johnny graduated from Goosehouse.
And then on June 23rd 2012, Watanabe Shuuhei joined Goosehouse as Saito Johnny’s replacement.
On March 9th 2013, Kanda Rioka graduated. And on April 2nd 2013, Saito Johnny came back to Goosehouse as a new member, replacing Kanda Rioka.
And the last, d-iZe, graduated on January 25th 2014.

So that is how the current members were formed.
