show: match up season 2

Did everyone write so much fanfiction that they forgot what Miraculous is really like? I keep seeing posts about how they know they’re going to be disappointed, but just….why exactly? I’m still excited for season 2, it’s a bummer that others aren’t.

Match Up: Block B Returns Episode 1 Review

So, my favourite derpy boys are back, this time NOT ONLY with their swagalicious leader Zico’s mixtape Zico on the Block 1.5 and a comeback with their badass and borderline hilarious Nillili Mambo, but also with the second season of Match Up.

So, ever since I heard the news of it being released, I have been waiting with my fingers crossed for my favourite subber 7ontheblock to release the subs for the first episode. And when it finally arrived, boy did it deliver.

The first episode, to me, already has the perfect recipe for a good show:

Serious, heartfelt moments with pretty music playing in the background:

  • They discuss their past mistakes during the controversy, and how it affected them.
  • Try not to sniffle when Jaehyo mentions how he worried about his parents and that they might have been having a hard time because of him, or when U-Kwon voices out his concern over the other band members during their nine months of struggle.

Total derpiness and general hilarity:

  • Of course, Block B can only keep a straight face for so long.
  • At about the 3:06 mark, their seriousness is ruined by P.O, and the adorkable idiocy of the boys just escalates from there.
  • Try holding in your laughter when Kyung dances the dougie and does aegyeo for his “blunt husband” Zico, or when P.O starts fanboying over Taeil’s cuteness.
  • Don’t even get me started on Zico, Jaehyo, and P.O’s unstoppably insane radio show, featuring P.O’s honey thighs, Zico’s big nose, and Jaehyo’s never-ending consumption of oranges and bananas.

Retarded Commitments and Promises:

  • Kyung promises to do something that would exceed the popularity of Match Up first season’s infamous “Dharma Kyung”, something that may or may not include him dancing shirtless.
  • Unfortunately, he sneakily evaded the pinky promise, so who knows how well that would work out.
  • When discussing a Fan Song event, Taeil says he’ll withdraw if someone can sing better than him, and immediately regrets his decision.
  • Zico carelessly promises a kiss and tries to take it back, and only his subtle blackmailing (using a mysterious, unknown picture of Kyung on his phone for said blackmail) could shut them up.

All in all, I am very pleased with Block B. They have done so much in the month of October alone, it could give any BBC a heart attack (Not talking about me … or am I).

As a huge fangirl for Block B (After B.A.P, they are my second favourite group. And that is pretty epic considering I listen to, like, a gajillion Kpop groups), I nearly cried when watching this. My inner thoughts could translate roughly to:
