should understand

Do you have any thoughts about how Maggie and Alex acted in the interrogation room when Alex kinda crashed in? I especially loved Maggie's face when Alex kissed her cheek lol

Well when Alex walks in Maggie takes a defensive stance, with her arms crossed. I think Maggie is a little caught off guard by the way Alex is acting. After Alex says, ““…a heads up next time would be nice before you arrest my friend”, Maggie’s response is exactly how I would assume from level-headed Maggie “Come on, you know that’s not how this works. I don’t intervene with your job and you don’t question mine”.

Alex is in the wrong here. It sounds like they have discussed this issue before and agreed to stay out of each other’s work; not to mention if anyone should understand Maggie’s job and what it entails, it SHOULD be Alex.

I also think that Maggie feels a bit guilty that she didn’t give Alex a little head’s up (even though she wasn’t obligated to) and that is why she gives in. She truly believes Winn is innocent and she needs help so she lets Winn go with Alex.

After it is all said and done, Maggie is a tad defeated. It doesn’t feel good to have people undermine her job, especially someone who knows how much her job means to her. But she also knows that Alex is coming from a place of love and would never intentionally try to hurt/offend her, so they compromise.

The kiss on the cheek is telling because Alex purposely goes for her cheek and Maggie purposely offers her cheek. Alex realized she was stepping on Maggie’s toes and Maggie wants Alex to know she is a little hurt. They leave on good terms, both relenting to the other–trying to show mutual respect and love.

I also want to point out that while Alex was in the wrong, they both were able to come together (rather quickly) and sort it all out. Once again, showing the audience that all relationships have their flaws but healthy communication is the key to a solid relationship! #SanversInventedHealthyRelationships2k17

“Color Commentary” (Reylo, T)

NOTE: I DID THE THING @coupdefoudrey

This is directly influenced by/in the world of/after my figure skating AU “Blades Crossed,” which you should probably read to understand this but it’s probably okay without (since it’s completely random). @greyjedireylo I told you I’d continue that ‘verse at some point, but, uh, I didn’t think this was quite the direction it would go in. Oops.

(Warning: this is unedited, off-the-cuff nonsense. Contains liberal amounts of Kylo being a pompous ass/overly-proud boyfriend and Long!Suffering!Mitaka.)

The thing about sports commentator boxes outside of professional sports is that they are relatively small affairs. Wires and equipment everywhere, with enough space for a handful of bodies for the play-by-play and color commentary.

This, Dopheld Mitaka has gotten accustomed to in his four years covering the Coruscant Ice Warriors. Small spaces, oversized earphones, hunched over the mic, clip-on tie askew and off-brand coffee. Part of the job.

The hulking presence next to him is. Well. Less so.
