Hardy, primitive sheep breed found on the Hebridian Island of Soay (among others). This one was on Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel. They are extremely hardy and need little interaction with humans to survive.

The lady above is part of the Thieving Magpie ‘Morris Dancing’ Troupe. When i first saw her I thought she had an old fur ‘stole’ over her shoulder. When it started to move, I realised it was something quite different - it was her live (and fully functioning) pet skunk - that she takes to all of their performances

Native to the African Savannah areas where its huge ears have 2 very important functions - thermo-regulation (helping to cool the animal) and prey location: it has a preferred diet of small invertebrates & insects.
