Shiva Nazar Ahari (b. 1984) is a human rights activist from Iran who was jailed by her own government several times for her convictions. She protested against the repression of human rights and freedom of expression in Iran, and was charged with “disrupting the public order” or “waging war against God”.
She is a founding member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters. In 2011 she received the Theodor Haecker Prize for her “courageous reporting on human rights violations”.
