Okay, I took this into great consideration and decided I would attempt to make these into shirts. They are better designs from the ones found in a previous joanolo picture I drew. There is no guarantee that I will be able to get this doe since I still need to do some research on how to get several of these made without it costing me a fortune. Also, I would need to know that more than two people would want these.
This weekend, I actually had time to mock something up for the Night Vale shirt design contest.
…Unfortunately, the contest ended over two weeks ago. Oh well. it was still fun playing with the idea, though!*
Nothing says Public/Community radio like a pledge drive. So I designed a shirt as a donation reward, illustrating a fleshed out version of the podcast logo. It’s all vector and meshes, which means those gradients can get converted to halftones, and print up just fine.
For the back of the shirt, I threw in a not-so-subtle homage to NPR. The contest didn’t allow for a double-sided design (I think), but I don’t have to worry about those silly “rules” at this point.
*Like this? Want to wear it? Well, the only way that’s going to happen is if there’s a demand for it. Reblog it, post it to facebook, tweet about it. Write in to commonplace books, and tell them that you want to throw money at them in exchange for cotton apparel.
[update] Hey everyone, thanks for all the support! Unfortunately my entries weren’t high enough in the ranking to qualify tor the final judging so these cool kid shirt designs won’t be up grabs anywhere. I won’t be deleting this post so if you just feel like looking at them idk it’ll be here i guess. But really, thanks again. It was really cool to see how many people liked my designs :>
