Agave schidigera “Shiro Ito no Ohi” is in the family Agavaceae. The cultivar name is Japanese and translates to “Queen of White Thread Leaf” referring to the curly white filaments on the margins of the leaves. It is native to many parts of Mexico including Chihuahua and Durango. This species has been in cultivation for many years, and is used in xeric landscapes with other succulents in full sun.
