shipper canon

i deleted this post because y’all thought i was mass-preaching pedophilia and abuse and thought it was appropriate to send a half dozen “kill yourself, pedo” messages without even knowing the context (which was, for the record, a VAGUEBLOG about wanting to ship a noncanon but healthy lesbian ship, and being pushed aside by shippers of a semi-canon but harmful lesbian ship)

i stand by my word — this fucksite’s quest for ideological purity has led to a complete disregard for context and absolute disrespect for human life.

Santana Lopez, the shipper

I want to write a book and make the main girl character end up with the totally misunderstood villian guy when the story alluded to the girl ending up with the likable hero. Then everyone will know how us noncanon shippers feel when our dreams are crushed.

being a femslash shipper:

 • canon???? what is canon??????
 • making edits with a slightly out of focus or non-face showing girls kissing because your ship will never be canon
 • blonde and brunette pairing could be from 7 different fandoms
 • knowing full well that if one or both of the girls were a man that your ship would be a hell of a lot more popular
 • people reblogging clearly romantic posts and adding how they’re not romantic
 • #friendship goals
 • being called “delusional”
 • HAROLD
 • even though it’s femslash there are still a lot of White Feminist™ shippers who ruin fandom and give your ship a bad reputation
 • bury your gays trope
 • lesbians are bullet magnets
 • having ships that literally consist of two women that just happened to be in the same room as each other because you’re that desperate for content
 • having to make your own content because there’s none
 • just gals being pals
 •
All Might: And- oh! I'm sorry, all I ever do is gush about Young Midoriy-
Todoroki: I don't see anything wrong with that
Todoroki:
Todoroki: Please Continue

Honestly, no matter how Mashima had ended the manga, this fandom would have done nothing but complain and insult the series and its author. We all seem to be forgetting something very important: Not everything is about the ships. From the start, fairy tail has been a manga about friendships - about the adventures of the guild members and the people they met on their journey. Yet, somewhere along the way, all this fandom started to care about was their ships. Even going so far as to insult and threaten each other and the author. Surely, I’m not the only one tired of shipwars and shounen mangas all ending with kids and timeskips?

I JUST REALIZED while rambling about what I want Steve to be doing between Civil War and Infinity War

(reclaiming his autonomy over his body, including growing a beard. reclaiming his autonomy over his beliefs and convictions. standing up for marginalized groups by attending protests and rallies and metaphorically punching the trump administration in the face [maybe literally too]. and just being the epitome of Steve Rogers ‘fight me’ and recklessness in doing the right thing + embracing who he is post-Cap.

AND relearning how to have fun, and relax. etc)

THAT IT’S GOING TO BE COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT

1. THE WINTER SOLDIER IS BUCKY BARNES

AND POSSIBLY

2. CAPTAIN AMERICA DIDN’T SIGN THE ACCORDS + LEFT BEHIND BEING CAPTAIN AMERICA

OVER

BUCKY BARNES aka THE WINTER SOLDIER

and it struck me while I was thinking about it in the context of someone having a conversation with Steve about him questioning his sexuality that based on what the public was told Steve leaving the Avengers BECAUSE of Bucky might be a very, very obvious conclusion for people to make.

tl;dr common perception post Civil War is probably leaning towards Captain America being gay as fuck betraying America for TWS leaving the Avengers for Bucky.
