sherlock tld hug

OK BUT I JUST REALIZED SOMETHINH AND I DONT KNOW IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS POINTED IT OUT YET BUT…I’LL SAY IT ANYWAY.
John’s hands. One on Sherlock’s nek and the other on Sherlock’s arm. Doesn’t it remind u something? It’s exactly the same way Sherlock hugged John in TLD. Coincidence? Nope. In this show coincidences don’t exist. It means, if you think about it, that Sherlock not only remember how John hugged him, but also that Sherlock thinks that it is the way John want to be hugged, I think. It is the way John makes feel someone loved and safe and it is probably the way Sherlock felt and so Sherlock did the same when John needed, he hugged him with one hand on John’s nek and the other on John’s arm. Bacause in that moment John needed love and to feel safe.

I…I don’t know if it makes sense but this hug, John’s hug, hit me and reminded me of Sherlock’s hug.
I don’t know what to think now, I need a blanket.
Also, I feel really stupid cause probably someone just noticed it ages ago soooooooo now it’s time for me to go. And hide. Bye.

S04E02 The Lying Detective

The hug wasn’t straight!

I have been watching this scene on loop because something felt weird about it ever since I saw this the first time.

IT’S THE CINEMATOGRAPHY!

It’s so loopy, head-spinning, uneven, anything but straight unlike when John hugged Sherlock at the wedding. It was simple then. The camera just faded out the everything in the background and focused on them because it was a very important and emotional moment.

But when you look at the scene from The Lying Detective, the camera affect, the lopsided movement is eerily similar to the scene from The Abominable Bride when Moriarty talks about the fall and the landing.

IS JOHN SHERLOCK’S LANDING? HAS THEIR DISTANCE BEEN KILLING SHERLOCK?

I NEED ANSWERS. pls. someone.

WHY WAS THE BACKGROUND SHAKY WHEN JOHN AND SHERLOCK HUGGED? Please give me some theories.

Johnlock s4 Hug Anniversary!

On Jan 8, it’s going to be a year since the best moment of s4 happened  - Sherlock and John hug each other after John has a breakdown. It was such a tender moment, and we believe it deserves some more recognition.

“Well, wait a minute, Sherlolo-land, they already have so many great moments in the past, why are you posting that we celebrate this one?”

Because s4 was an atrocity and this was the moment that stood out to every johnlocker. It was raw. It was emotional. They’ve both been through the wringer. They needed each other, and they needed this. Any johnlocker that has either hated s4 or was okay with it will definitely agree that this was their favorite scene.

We’re calling out all the johnlockers that are here to come together on that day and fill the tag with all the content about this emotional moment: art, fics, gifs, meta, comments, anything that involves the Hug scene. And if a lot of you have already done any of that, Jan 8 would be a good time to either reblog or upload again!

After all Johnlock is canon, no matter how badly Mofftiss screwed up their chance to make history with the modernized Sherlock BBC and botched their own show. “Perhaps in another era?” It’s already been done. They’re canon.

We’re going to track the tag #JohnlockHugAnniversary2018, so please, include this in your post’s tags, so that everyone can see and share your contribution!

We understand s4 is not your cup of tea - it wasn’t ours either - but this moment deserves to be celebrated again.

Remember this one as well. Even if it was on the set, it still counts on how much we loved these two.
