sherlock goggles on

I don’t know if this was point out by someone else, but… By the scene goes we know Sherlock just left Rosie with John, and maybe retrieved near the fireplace… can we observe the fact that after checking the flat, smiling at John holding Rosie, she goes straight (and enthusiastically) to Sherlock??

 “Wow this is looking good!”

“Hey John, hi sweetie”

“Hello honey! I missed you!*

Sherlock attempting some reconciliation with Molly after being an arse to her in TPF—mentions of Johnlock/any other 'ship for Molly welcome! I just hated the way they dealt with Molly, especially given Sherlock was much kinder in S3, it feels like their friendship went backwards. Molly deserved better. :-(

Okay so The Final Problem doesn’t exist ;) so this is tweaked a little <3

Sherlock takes a deep breath and braces himself. “I’m sorry,” he says.

Molly doesn’t gasp, she doesn’t drop the test tube- in fact, she hardly reacts at all. She glances at Sherlock, safety goggles fogged up a little.

“Alright,” she nods.

There’s a pause. Sherlock clears his throat. “Um-” he says, eloquently.

Molly sighs and takes off her goggles with a snap. “Let’s take a break,” she says, even though she’s the only one who’s really been working- with Sherlock blankly staring into space for the past fifteen minutes.

She walks out, and returns with the kettle from the staff room and sets it on to boil. Two cups of tea made, she sets them on the lab table, and gestures for Sherlock to pull up a stool.

Sherlock stares at the steam rising from his cup. Molly taps her cup against his, a tiny cheers motion, causing him to look up.

“You have been a bit of an arse,” she says, and he smiles.

“More than a bit. Sorry. I believe I…” He trails off, shakes his head. “Scratch that- I know I’ve… manipulated certain… things to my- my advantage. And I shouldn’t have. I’ve been a shit friend, really.” Suddenly, a panicked thought. “We are still friends?”

Molly nods, and laughs in reassurance. “Yes, Sherlock.”

“I’m gay,” Sherlock says, waving a hand to his chest, and Molly nods again.

“I know. I’ve known for… a while. I think I was-” She shrugs, self-deprecating. “In love with the idea of… you? Of love? So. I’m sorry for that.”

Sherlock mulls over on that, the idea of something. “I understand.”

“I think I’m gay, too,” Molly says.

Sherlock blinks. Grins. “Um…well, then. Well… done?”

Molly rolls her eyes, but she’s still smiling. “Wow, thanks.”

“Are you… please say you’re finally asking out Stella.”

She flushes. “Am I that obvious?”

Sherlock shrugs. “No. I’ve just… I know the… signs.”

Molly winces. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine. Past is the past, all’s well that ends well, etc, etc.”

“Anyway, I’m asking her out this Wednesday at 12:03 pm. Not for coffee, obviously.”

“That’s rather specific.”

“I’m only telling you so you can chase me up on it.”

“Oh. That’s what friends are for.”

Molly drains her tea, and glances at the clock. “Well, I’d better get back to it,” she says. She takes Sherlock’s empty cup, too, and leans over to kiss him on the cheek.

“Thanks, Sherlock,” she tells him, and her voice seems a touch more choked up than the situation requires.

Sherlock frowns. “Are you alright, Molly?”

She shrugs again, and laughs at herself, and Sherlock wishes she wouldn’t. “It’s… my Dad died today. Thought I’d be working alone and I was so… worked up about it. So. Thanks.”

Sherlock takes the cups from her. “Clock out now, you’ve not eaten today. No, don’t- I know you’ve not. Lunch is on me.”

Don't watch the Sheelock is Garbage video. I don't know about you but for me any non-romantic reading of the show does not make sense. Without Johnlock, this show is a mess.. it is a love story and if you try to view it only as some superhero/ thriller show you won't like it, so it is only natural that guy didn't.

(referencing this post)

Hi Nonny!

Oh, I know I won’t like it, but as someone who also is not a fan of S4, and as someone who listens to all arguments, I think it would be beneficial to me to listen to it at the very least. And the reason S4 was kind of shite was because they essentially erased all the Johnlock and left us with Not Our Show. It’s on my playlist, I’ll get around to it eventually.

That said, many people who also view Sherlock with the Johnlock goggles also know that the problems presented in the video do exist, especially if S4 is truly the end; it essentially negates EVERYTHING that happened before it.

  • *in a car, on a stakeout*
  • Molly: *bored* How long do we have to stay here?
  • Sherlock: *peering through binoculars* All night if necessary.
  • Molly: *sighs* It's just...when you said you needed help with a case-
  • Sherlock: *leans over and snogs her*
  • Molly: *squeaks*
  • -a moment later-
  • Sherlock: *pulls back, looking through the binoculars* False alarm. Not the suspect.
  • Molly: *blinks* Oh *clears her throat* Well, um...I had a date a-and I can't keep-
  • Sherlock: *quickly* Someone's coming *kisses her*
  • Molly: ...
  • Sherlock: *mutters huskily* Was it the suspect?
  • Molly: *blushing* The old lady walking her dog?
  • Sherlock: *smiles apologetically; leans back* Right. Um, it's dark.
  • Molly: *nods quickly* Yeah.
  • Sherlock: ...
  • Molly: ...
  • Sherlock: ...
  • Molly: ...
  • Sherlock: *sighs* For God's sake... *grabs her and snogs her*
  • Molly: *pulls away a second later* There's no one there.
  • Sherlock: *shrugs* So?
  • Molly: *smirks* Okay *kisses him*
Sherlocked: The Evolution of Sherlolly: Part I

Although a lot of these moments have been mentioned, I just wanted to share my thoughts and analysis on them. I love Sherlolly whether they end up together or not. Even if they don’t, their friendship and chemistry is undeniable. I am also currently very bored and so I’m putting my shipper goggles on to look at the changing and developing relationship between Sherlock and Molly, from Series 1 to Series 3.

Part 1 is for Series 1 but may connect with some moments from Series 2 and 3, so there may be some minor spoilers. Enjoy the long read. (Also includes screen shots)  (I’m not going to look at the pilot as it’s pretty similar to episode 1)

coming back as we are - kimbiablue - Sherlock (TV) [Archive of Our Own]

By Organization for Transformative Works

Hey guys omg! I could cry that I’m finally posting this. I’ve been pouring my soul into it since at least the middle of July, when it started as three separate oneshots that all got dumped into what would become this behemoth. I haven’t written fanfiction in years, save for a couple Johnlock oneshots in the past few months, but recently I got back into the TJLC community and am waiting (horribly impatiently) for series 4 in January! Working on this fic and a fan video have been tiding me over. There will be three chapters, each about 5,000 words. The first follows Sherlock’s view, the second will follow John’s, and the third will switch between viewpoints. I have most of the rest of the story finished, since I write very disjointedly, so expect the next two chapters soon!

I’d like to thank the Academy, and also the many people who have supported me here on tumblr! You all are amazing and I love the TJLC community and now they’re gonna kick me off stage because I’m gonna cry. LOVE YOU GUYS.

Special thanks to my beta and partner in Johnlock crime @chrysanthemumsies and to @consulting-goldfish and @sherlockprettydamngayholmes for proofreading the first chapter! Also many many thanks to the lovely @johix for the commission she did for me for this fic! Once she posts the art to her tumblr, I’ll link back with that. :) Here are the rest of my tags for wonderful people:

“It’s always you, Sherlock Holmes,” John says with the softest chuckle, mirroring a declaration made striding up a reception aisle. “I met Mary because you were dead, and I suppose it makes sense that I’d replace the most dangerous person I’d ever known with someone just the same. Although it merits a mention that you’re wonderful and thrilling in so many ways that she isn’t.”

In which Sherlock warns John of Mary’s duplicitous nature before the wedding and John marries her anyway so they can figure her out, but along the way unexpected feelings and actions make it that much more complicated.

Molly kisses Sherlock before a Quidditch match and plays better than ever

Of all the Quidditch matches in a year, Molly Hooper liked Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin the least.  The Slytherins had a habit of treating her team like they were a bunch of pushovers, which was far from true.  Furthermore, she didn’t approve of Slytherin tactics.  They played too dirty for her taste.  Still, she always faced them with a smile and this coming match was no exception.

It was a gloomy day and there was a chill to the air that harkened back to the nasty winter they had just had.  The cheery canary yellow of the Hufflepuff’s Quidditch robes was not enough to counteract this, unfortunately, and the team’s morale was admittedly lower than one might hope or even expect as they went about their business in the locker room before the match.

As she strapped on her shin guards, Molly listened to the captain, Henry Knight, go over their strategy and give them a pep talk, of course paying particular attention to mentions of her position as Keeper.  Right in the middle of it, she heard her name whispered and she looked about to see Sherlock Holmes peeking in at her.  She glared at him as if to say “what the hell are you doing” and he mouthed “can I have a word” in reply.  With a sigh, she slipped out of the locker room to meet him.

So Mary dated a guy who looked very similar to the man she married two years later…

If only we knew of another woman who dated a familiar looking man and what that could mean about her future husband…

Sherlock characters as Spongebob quotes
  • Sherlock: The inner machinations of my mind is an enigma.
  • John: Go away! Can't you see that I'm trying to forget you?!
  • Mary: Well, it's no secret that the best thing about secrets is secretly telling your secret, thereby adding another secret to your secret collection of secrets, secretly!
  • Irene: Let's get naked!
  • Mycroft: Remember, licking doorknobs is illegal on other planets.
  • Mrs. Hudson: How did I ever get surrounded by such loser neighbors?
  • Molly: He only liked me for my shorts!
  • Lestrade: That idea may just be crazy gET US ALL KILLED.
  • Anderson: Goodbye, everyone. I'll remember you all in therapy.
  • Sally: That guy doesn't have a front license plate. LETS GET HIM.
  • Moriarty: Oh, these pies aren't homemade, they were made in a factory. A bomb factory. They're bombs.
The CAM-era's not finished with His Last Vow

Or, Moriarty’s Dead But Not Gone (Hooray!)

There’s a lot of John-related angst over HLV (How did he decide to stay with Mary? Why doesn’t he seem to care about Sherlock like he used to?) and lots of plot-related skepticism (Why did Mary shoot Sherlock? How does he understand this as saving his life when he actually flatlined? Magnussen was *really* that influential without ever needing proof? What was his goal anyway, just “power”?).

I get a general sense of disappointment or betrayal: How could they end it this way?

I think the answer might be: They didn’t. And they told us so.

Okay, for the next nine days (until 9pm-ish EST on January 1st, in fact) I’m holding this as a head canon:  Benedict ships them.

The way he’s smiling in those photos makes me think he ships them. I’m probably way off the mark, but it’s a lovely, warm & satisfying feeling, and as an end of year gift to myself I’m going to allow myself to think believe…Benedict ships them.
