Another reason why I love the Haley Strategic D3CR chest rig. The Velcro backing allows me to mount it inside my Vertx Commuter bag for concealment/bug out bag, as well as having it mounted to my Shellback Tactical Banshee Plate Carrier.
Received my Haley Strategic D3CR Chest Rig to run with my Shellback Tactical Banshee Plate Carrier with AR500 Curved Plate Armor.
Current load-out on the banshee:
Glock 19 Gen 4 inside Special Operations Velcro Holster
Two spare mags with Taran Tactical Innovations +6 base pads
4 Magpul Pmags
Winkler Knives fixed Blade
Will be adding a radio(still deciding on make and model) as well as first aid kit(VOK) from Tactical Response.
Stay tuned as I continue to run, change, and add to my current set-up.

This is in no way an ‘End All, Be All’ list of items to pack for a Shooting School or Tactical Course. However, this is meant to give you some insight or ideas based off my many hard lessons learned overtime while attending numerous classes.
The trick, of course, is to pack 'only what you need’ or pack as light and minimal as possible. However, with the cost of the courses, ammo, travel, board, food, etc. Forgetting to pack a piece of kit you already own could potentially create a less than desirable experience and thus can be translated into money loss.
I pack with the mindset that I do not want any surprises that could effect my training. When I leave for a training I am 100% dedicated to it. I’ve committed time and money and now it’s time to dedicate myself to it. The last thing I want is to not be prepared.
The below is what was packed for the Talon Defense 3 Day Gunfighter Course.
