Sergei Parajanov is a famous Armenian director born in Georgia. The Colour of Pomegranates, his most famous film, is a biographical movie about the legendary Armenian bard Sayat Nova. It explores Armenian culture and history.
Ashik Kerib, his last complete movie, based on the short story by Mikhail Lermontov which on itself was based on a popular folk tale about the Azeri Ashug Garib detailed aspects of Azerbaijani culture . It was shot in the Sheki Khan Palace and uses Mugham by Alim Qasimov in the soundtrack, which adds a lot to the movie’s feel.
The Legend of Suram Fortress is Parajanov’s version of a popular Georgian folk tale collected by Daniel Chonkadze. This film explores Georgian culture and history in Parajanov’s unique style.

You feel the heat rising from your loins to your chest. The feeling of lust and yearning. You want to know how her skin feels like. You want to feel her against you, skin to skin contact. You know it’s wrong but you groan for her. You moan her name every night. Just for a feeling of her lips could make your life complete.
